Rahmat Irfan Denas (born c.1996 – 1997) is an Indonesian journalist and Wikipedian from West Sumatra.
Life
[edit]Denas was born in 1996 or 1997.[1]
In 2016, Denas became the member of West Sumatra Islamic Student Association (Assalam).[1] Denas studied Islamic Civilization history at Imam Bonjol State Islamic University in 2017 and graduated in 2021. As a student, he also worked at Harian Khazanah as a journalist from February to March 2019. In July 2020, he joined Padangkita as a journalist and worked there for two years until July 2022.[2]
While working as a journalist, he also joined Alliance of Independent Journalists Padang branch in 2021 and served as the Data and Internet Coordinator.[3]
In 2023, Denas worked as History researcher and freelancer. At the same year, he also passed the Journalist Competency Test.[4][5]
Wikimedia
[edit]Denas is one of the founders of the Wikimedia Padang Community.[6] He was a volunteer for Wiki Masuk Sekolah (Wiki enter school) program.[7] In 2022, Wikidata Indonesia community proposed Denas as the best content volunteer.[8]
