Will Kamala Harris's Indian roots play a part in her Asia policy?

NEW YORK -- As U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris looks to become the country's first Asian American and Black female president, she may be pressed for greater efforts to show voters how that background informs both her worldview and her policy toward Asia.

Harris stepped in as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination on Sunday, after President Joe Biden announced he would end his reelection fight and endorsed her to lead the party's ticket in the November election against former President Donald Trump.
