Woah. This is a very well-written piece that provides the reader with enough information to tell a compelling story, but doesn't overwhelm itself with the details. My god that ending as well. I did pick up this little bit of SPaG, but it was nothing that made me enjoy the read less

I personally think it could cut to the chase a bit faster, and the part about "when did an anomalous object have a say in what we do?" was too on the nose for me, but the ending still hit like a truck. You did a really good job at portaying someone who's just fucked up.
