RE: Trek redesigns, the cardies need more robust pred legs. They look silly unless they were on all fours. Didn't care for the Ferengi either. For an acquisitive species they should have hands more suited to grasping. As is, they look barely capable of tool use.

The Bajorans weren't too bad. Wouldn't mind seeing Kira as The Intendent. Or with her.

How realistic the idea of a xeno waifu being from smaller "proud and noble" species that are coincidentally very pick-uppabble and huggable (but that's demeaning and being seen picked up is grand damage to their pride and honor, and you risk having your eyes clawed out for such disrespect) (but also guilty pleasure, actually likes to be carried around and riding on your neck, as long as nobody sees. What's your typical acceptance for altered humans?
I don't mean the aliens, I mean a setting where human augments can change their appearances and capabilities? At what point does it get too strange to be human in your opinion?
>>
>>8346673
For the thread in general or in fiction? Because the thread has been fine with All Tomorrows for awhile. But in most fiction, I could accept almost anything within reason, depending on the setting. If a story has laws and conventional societies, post-humans like the snake people shouldn't exist. If it's a fucked up world that exploits the human genome, it's fair game and more interesting that way.
>At what point does it get too strange to be human in your opinion?
Biologically, if post-humans can still reproduce (without complication) with other humans in any conventional capacity (including artificial insemination,) they are still human. But in my opinion, as soon as they go tier 5 or above, the ship has sailed on being called human.

Teng here, no new content, busy ass week, but hopefully late today or tomorrow will have some stuff

Been enjoying all those trek alien redesigns, I've always wanted to see more stuff with the tholians, but at the same time I don't want to see how shit the current crop of ST writers would make it. maybe if it were the lower decks writers but I'm guessing they are all getting canned with LD being cancelled. Also anyone got an artist link for whoever did those redesigns last thread?

>>8344706
eyyy whats a drawfag gotta do to get in on the memes?

In fairness I've drawn a shitload of viper stuff and that's basically scaly shit, so who cares. Everyone here is on the "into nonhuman forms" shit, every minor distinction is semantics. I think deltav coincidentally just found /xeno/ made stuff once it broke to an audience outside of this very niche thread.

>>8345257
I always appreciate when someone goes the insane extra route of drawing their meme/ref in the exact style to mimic where its from. Peak disco elysium meme. I'm not a huuuge fan of deltav's style at times admittedly but they're hard working and have fun ideas. Keep on it king

> trek redesigns

> Ferengi
Good. Having double-jointed legs means they can practically change their height. This gives a very business-like mannerism, where they change how they approach a customer; make themselves smaller for small customers to put them at ease (if they want to be polite to a new customer) and taller for larger customers they might be intimidated by... and presumably reaching products on a top shelf.

> gooey Odo
lol

>Cardassians
Being larger than humans would actually make Garak's claustrophobia even worse, as small spaces would be even more intolerably constricting.
Also, >>8345681
>Now I have an amusing image of a bunch of rebels swarming a cardassian.

And i have an amusing image of fuzzy little Kira being on Cardassia teaching the local giant reptile people (who have probably never seen a Bajoran in person) on how to rebel against the Dominion.

>>
>>8346773
>>8346927
I ask cause I was writing something that started off as pure smut but...it's getting space opera-y with the way I'm explaining off the original premise. In a nutshell humans take a little after Iain Banks' Culture and something that is a combination of Star Trek's Federation, Borg and Dominion wrapped into one.
>Humans are descendants of a colony ship that punched through to another galaxy, most of the colonists did not survive
>Descendants have a spotty record of their past, so they don't have all the details
>What they do know is that there were supposed to be female humans at one point
>Jury rigged technology let their ancestors assimilate local aliens to be compatible with the human genome
>Men are still outwardly baseline human, but posses adaptations from alien mothers.

And a bunch of other details I'm still working out.
>>
>>8346773
>>8347824
>At what point does it get too strange to be human in your opinion?
Regarding the thread I've no advise.
Speaking to the larger question, you might want to familiarize yourself with the Orion's Arm setting. Some settings are 20 minutes into the future. OA tries to suggest what things might really be like 10,000 years into the future. One of the points they make is Humanity itself has a creative drive to explore the bizarre in what life can be. The few aliens encountered in the setting are prosaic as compared to humanity. Most aliens, on first contact with humanity, Terragen civilization as they call themselves, would assume we're many multiple species and distinct civilizations, rather than a varied group from one original home world.
My limits would be something incomprehensible, or, perhaps, anti-human.
With regard to overall tolerance for strangeness in smut, I much more prefer things like sex crazed XCom vipers. Whereas, sex crazed Mu'uh crabs from OA are comical, but lacking in erotic titillation potential.
>>
>>8347856
>OA tries to suggest what things might really be like 10,000 years into the future.
My setting leaves that up in the air. Some of humanity's technology is leagues ahead of everyone else, in others it lags far behind. Humans aren't even dure if they are in their target galaxy.
>Ine of the points they make is Humanity itself has a creative drive to explore the bizarre in what life can be.
Oh for sure, though for mine it's to see how they can fuck it.
>I much more prefer things like sex crazed XCom vipers. Whereas, sex crazed Mu'uh crabs from OA are comical,

I've posted pics from that gallery for a few years, closer to when the threads used to have more regular discussions, too. Guess it just wasn't the right time for it then.

Smut is often very hit-or-miss. Most artist don't tend to be decent at writing, so we get all the intentional meme-level scripts instead. Although it has its issues, Alfie is a surprisingly nice example. For what it is, anyway. Decent character work from what I remember.

Also, I remember you said you were okay with people saving your work in the past. Would you mind if more got posted on esix?

Yeah alfie is top tier stuff. Incase is goals.

I don't care if people save my stuff, I'm not some weirdo who thinks they should or for that matter have the ability to tell others what to do. Do whatever you want, I quite literally cannot stop you. I'm just lazy and private, so don't want to manage more accounts than I absolutely have to.

As an aside on the artists telling people what to do; Holy shit the stuff I have sometimes seen other artists post about like, "no one else is allowed to draw my char and you cant draw it doing xyz" as if they can stop anyone on the internet from doing anything. If you don't like what someone is doing with X then all you gotta do is just not look at it.

to be honest, the plot point of having all the f humans die feels like too obvious a contrived reason to have their be xeno fucking. It feels harem anime tier plot point
>>
>>8348892
>It feels harem anime tier plot point
That's exactly how it started. But since then I've been fleshing out the characters so it's more than a 5 minute meetn'fuck and it's sort of ballooned out of control. It's now a 3-arc series about a human overseeing the uplift of a belligerent species on the cusp of nuclear war, a captain investigating a hostile power of equal size, and a scientist whose experiment sent them to the other side of the galaxy.

I've hit a snag as the relative size of the setting has made the lack of female humans a non-issue, but at the same time that was one of the driving forces that founded the civilization that's now expanding in an unknown space. I'm conflicted whether I should drop it altogether, keep it and use it more, or just leave it in the background.

What's up dudes? AP here to post here to post a new chapter of Vipers, Nights, and French Fries. Chapter 7 is comin' at ya in a big 11,830 word package.

Synopsis is: My, my, there's a lotta shit happening and so little time to explain it all. Uhh... with their rivalry ended, the heroes of our tale may yet find a friendship blossoming between them. But much like in real life, reality comes knocking with some unfortunate circumstances. There are many negatives to working in customer service and what occurs is just one aspect of those. After that our heroes are both put into a distressed state. Will they seek each other out for support, or succumb to despair? You will have to read to find out.

There's a part of this chapter I've been excited to write since I first started work on this story. Pic rel.

As always, I appreciate any and all feedback. Constructive, or not.

And, as I've said the last few chapters I've posted, I apologize for the wait. Was on vacation for a month, new job, work, yadda yadda, still in training, blah blah. This will hopefully be my last month of training, so fingers crossed, I MAY be able to get this next chapter out sooner than THREE MONTHS, we shall see.

Hope you enjoy this I put a lot of work into it. It was really hard dialing in Tay's personality this chapter. I want to depict her realistically with the mind of a woman, her motivations, her actions being led by emotion, everything. And I feel I dipped into that quite well this chapter, but let me know what you think.

So were humans but we don't look like fuzzy anthropomorphic bats. I think at best the argument could be made that the Changelings genetically altered their bodies to make them fit in with other species for better diplomacy, but in Star Trek most intelligent species are tall, humanoid, and not covered in fur.
>>

>So were humans but we don't look like fuzzy anthropomorphic bats.
No we left the trees and went to the plains. The ones that stayed in the trees look like this
>>
>>8371651
>in Star Trek most intelligent species are tall, humanoid, and not covered in fur
No all species had been tampered by precursors to look the same as a way to pass off humans wearing plastic headridges as alien.

>those 2-3 different alien furry cat people in star trek
The trek comics and original cartoon liked going with the more alien looking aliens since they could get away with it more due to not needing to make/costume up actors.
You'd be surprised just how many scifi settings have cat people in them
>>

The talk about what is/is not furry for alien designs is just exhausting. Why limit what features you put an an alien design just because other people elsewhere have a subcommunity with a specific set of design elements? World is your oyster, use whatever design features you think work well for a design and don't worry about if some other group uses X elements and you don't like them so you won't use those elements. To do otherwise is to just kneecap yourself for no reason.

Well done bits:
>The bit with the elder jab being clearly a sore spot and a bridge too far
>The chewing out by the manager on both of them was well done I think
>good bit with all the little things you panic about before a date, very realistic stuff.
>Finally getting to some character growth, very much enjoying it, finally getting some good payoff! had been lots on internal screaming from cringe early on so glad we're here.

Constructive criticisms:
>Mentioning how Thorn is hard to miss and then almost immediately following it up with "A girl with long dark hair, wearing big sunglasses walked into the corner of my vision" is the most obvious chekov's gun possible. I think you could remove that line and it would make the reveal better.
>"I haven't been hugged by anyone in a long time" a bit showey and not telly, I don't think someone would internal monologe that directly on what it was about, I think better to reword as enjoyment at the specific sensation/surprise of it. Plus you have the line where he mentions not being hugged in a long time to Thorn right after this that gets the point across anyway.

(more chapt 7 feedback)
Constructive criticisms:
> "What you called my belly is more like the bottom of your foot." more accurately should be almost like abs, the tail/vestigial pelvic bits are at the very tip end of the snake. the length is an extension of the bones and musculature of the ribs/belly. I suppose you could argue a viper/snake species could consider it a foot, but I assume it would certainly not feel or have the sensation of feet. Could do some interesting rewording to have her get across the sensation? IDK, something to think about, never hurts to play up the alien aspects of these things in an ayyy romance fic.
>Intentional or not the robber comes off a bit close to the black criminal stereotype. Like a joke lifted right out of the boondocks. Even barring that kinda feels kinda of out of place in this future post alien invasion society, I think his diaglog could use reworking.
>hispanic character says pendejo, and I fill out another part of my lazy hollywood writing bingo sheet lol. Its probably fine to leave in DESU, but to be at least felt silly.
>"trying to keep it together now that I was only two feet away from all her hotness" kinda awkward/clunky phrasing?
>"Should have killed the robber" kind of extreme, most in that situation you'd more expect someone to come out thinking that they could have stopped it disabled the person; their thoughts would be more focused on reducing the harm of the situation rather than exerting harm to the attacker; Its a moment of trying to help, not a revenge plot. Makes the chars come off a smidge overly violent.

Neutral
>Even from hints in chapter 6 figured out Tay/Thorn are roommates. Could be good or bad depending on how easy you want it to be for the reader to figure out.
>The "You're not telling me something" bit with Tay makes sense but also feels like a rehash of that similar convo with Thorn. You've got two love interests you want to contrast but you've got these very similar scenes between them.

I'll give the rundown of the entire thing:
Our girl Venka is a huntress of the Hollow Reed Tribe on an out of the way planet that was visited by the very bad and very mysterious Sky People a long, long time ago that took many of them and forever changed the landscape. Unrelated to that, they've been at war with a race they know as the Low People that seeks to wipe them out completely and so they decided it was best to go where their enemy could not. On the way a lot of very sad and very unfortunate things happened to them, and then a lot of fire started to fall from the sky, but they found a nice place to rest for a few days in a valley. Venka, the best scout in the tribe, is sent ahead to find a way over the steep valley. However, something else catches her eye. Investigating, she finds a strange ruin and locates a single survivor within. I won't say anything else and spoil the fun.

I hope you guys enjoy it, I'm actually having fun for a change writing this one. :)

>Finally getting to some character growth
Yup, Vince and Tay from here on out are gonna be changing slowly, over time, of course.
>had been lots on internal screaming from cringe early on
Vince is very much intended to be cringy in some ways. Hey young, he's awkward, borderline autistic, a bit dumb, ect. I really have tried to capture those aspects of being ~18.

>Mentioning how Thorn is hard to miss and then almost immediately following it up with "A girl with long dark hair, wearing big sunglasses walked into the corner of my vision" is the most obvious chekov's gun possible. I think you could remove that line and it would make the reveal better.
I hadn't heard someone say that before and I agree. At the time I felt like I had to mention her walking into frame, but if she was already sitting there, and I described her like I did everyone else sitting around there, it would make it more of a surprise.

>I haven't been hugged by anyone in a long time" a bit showey and not telly
Sometimes I repeat information in writing unintentionally. I agree, easy fix to cut that out and leave his dialogue in.

That dude was off his rocker and probably on something, lmao. However, his intel was not.

>Tay putting on a show at the mall was generally well done, intentionally trying to be offputting, sort of an emotional defense mechanism.
You're very observant, I don't want to spoil things, but that was her intention. You see that with her behavior at work as well. Interesting that she tries to push people away who try to get close to her...

I really wanted to depict her realistically as a woman, that's part of why this chapter was so difficult to write. I really had to dial in her emotional motivations, the ways she contradicts herself, and how it all played into her past experiences.

>between Thorn mentioning astrology and the scene in the shop with Essy noticing a magic throughline, where is this going?
There'll be no wizards casting spells. Merely a lore relevant curiosity I point out to the reader that may have relevance later on.
>>
>>8374392
> "What you called my belly is more like the bottom of your foot." more accurately
Ngl, I thought there was a part in the viper autopsy where Tygan calls the part they use to slither a "foot-like appendage", so that's why I had Tay say that. But, I can't seem to find it anywhere, so I agree. I might rework that part a little bit.

>Like a joke lifted right out of the boondocks.
You're the second person that's said that to me and you're right. This character's manner of speaking was inspired by the boondocks, I love that show. But you're misinterpreting my intentions here. This guy essentially being dressed like a gopnik and talking in the most stereotypical ghetto way possible is meant to be absurd. I've been told stories about Chicago, I have friends that work in the service industry, while this man is absurd, people like him do exist. It is an unfortunate, but very real aspect of working in the service industry. I'd say even after Advent has had its way with the world, I doubt all American subcultures would cease to exist. If anything I haven't gone far enough with how weird the slang would be at that point in the future.

The absurdity of this man and this scene serves a purpose, toning down that character wouldn't make it hit the same. The start of the scene is funny to the reader, as an observer, but to the characters, this is the scariest moment of their lives. I'd probably almost piss my pants in the same scenario. That crazy man could realistically kill them, and the more absurd he/the scene is the harder you crash to Earth when you see Tay having a panic attack. The juxtaposition grounds you in that moment with her. Situations as crazy as this do happen, and you'll never be able to prepare for them.
>>
>>8374392
>hispanic character says pendejo, and I fill out another part of my lazy hollywood writing bingo sheet lol. Its probably fine to leave in DESU, but to be at least felt silly.
I honestly thought about not putting that in. I figured the poor lad needed some more characterization. I could just have him say retard instead.

>"trying to keep it together now that I was only two feet away from all her hotness" kinda awkward/clunky phrasing?
Yeah, that could probably be reworded

>"Should have killed the robber" kind of extreme
If it was anyone other than Tay, I would agree with you. As you have seen, she sorta has a tendency to overcompensate for her lack of courage. "She's all bark and no bite." She has many times talked about specific ways of violently killing people for minor things.

>Even from hints in chapter 6 figured out Tay/Thorn are roommates.
It's an open secret at this point, lmao. It is how I have intended it.

>The "You're not telling me something" bit with Tay makes sense but also feels like a rehash of that similar convo with Thorn. You've got two love interests you want to contrast but you've got these very similar scenes between them.
Ooof, this stings the most out of everything you said because I had the same exact thought while I was writing ch7, lol. Not to worry though, I plan on contrasting them next chapter in a way that really turns up the pressure on Vince. Its gonna make him realize he's gonna have to choose. Vince isn't really a womanizer, in fact, he's probably the exact opposite of that, and basically dating two girls is gonna make him feel like shit.

Again, dude, I really appreciate all this feedback you gave me. Worth it's weight in gold, lol. This is how I improve as a writer. Also, nice T'vaoan dry handy image. I used to lurk here a lot more, but I've always enjoyed the art you post.

Might just be worth work shopping the descriptions a bit I guess, admittedly I don't have any specific suggestions, so I'm not too much of help there

>>8377902
that's a good point, definitely a good idea to add some extra detail to flesh out carlos more. I think you already have the friend crew saying retard a lot so I think you gotta ad something unique specific to him. could play up the catholic angle? Or give him some hobby/obsession.

true, but when she's talking about killing people its always in that more defensive she's putting up walls, not actually serious tone, in that moment the walls are down, so seems like that wouldn't apply there. I do see your point though, so IDK, could go either way.

>this stings the most

Not to get too into it to rehash the same old shit, but friendly reminder that anthro hate was a crossover from Something Awful, whilst 4chan itself has always largely been into it.

I’d replace “Scalie-Bait” with something like “Rubber Foreheads,” “Space Babes,” or “Literal Humans,” and label everything at 80-90% of that axis as “Not Xeno.”
… And maybe swap out “Invertebrate” for “Spec-Evo, or something similar.

I even bought the first book and plan on buying the rest of the NoP1 books.
At least we got some interesting porn out of it.
>>
>>8387146
>>8387099
I think he’s just meant to be the opposite of the NoP 1 protagonists. NoP had a lot of smart humans, especially emotionally smart, and humans were not allowed to be dumb or evil because SP didn’t like how quickly people got on board with Humanity First, despite the fact no one in their right mind could stomach the Federation and indeed, Earth is behaving exactly as expected post-Federation. Secret police everywhere, alliance hanging by a thread as a bunch of culture-less bastards try to convince the new super-power to be more aggressive and destructive.
Taylor IS a dumb character, emotionally and mentally. He cannot read a room, he cannot smell plots. His purpose in the story is very precise, he’s the catalyst. Something BIG is gonna happen, between the Arks and Earth. It’s gonna be his fault, the fault of his “friends” and “enemies” and he’s gonna be really sad when he finally understands that all his life he’d only ever taken orders.
Dumb characters are very frustrating, but sometimes the story moves forward only because a dumbass is at the right place at the right time, to be someone’s sucker
>>
>>8387511
For me it was Isif and the Dominion. NoP 2 is meant to be about other characters, very few returning characters and those that return have changed over the decades, but it’s very hard for people to care about the new guy.
SP went too hard too fast, a blank slate in a character driven story was obviously an unpopular decision, barely anyone you recognise and no one you like from the new guys.
He’s still the guy who wrote NoP 1 so I trust him to make this interesting, even if it takes 40+ chapters

The issue isn't just that Taylor is a retard it's that fucking everything feels contrived as hell.

It has a lot of good concepts and worldbuilding, but It slowly fell into the same trappings as other HFY stories where aliens more advanced than humanity suddenly becoming incompetent or not adapting to the most basic tactics and chapters where half of it is aliens glazing humans for the hundred time. Like most of yhe characters but I couldn't stand Marcel and Slanek after awhile.

>>
>>8388031
Taylor isn't the problem, it's everyone that believes him and allows him to get away with the stupid shit he does that is the problem. And for some fucking reason there's a ton of characters both main and supporting that do that to the point where this stops being a character problem and is now an overall plot problem. And the plot shouldn't be bent to fit a character, if a character doesn't fit it is the character that needs to change or be cut.
At the point a total rework is the only thing to save it. There's just too much shut laid down.

It started sucking on chapter 1. The entire thing is a mess, from the awkward, stilted dialogue to the way the plot keeps going "ackshually, there's an in universe reason the aliens are dumb/comicaly evil!!" to cover for the authors own shit writing, right through the highly repetitive nature of most chapters and character encounters.
In fact I'm surprised there's so many people shitting on book 2 when, frankly, if you've made it that far, you should already be used to the taste of shit.

Only reason you'd pick up this webnovel long enough for sunk cost fallacy to settle in would be if you had been attempting to fill the stockholm-syndrome shaped hole Deathworlder's absence and dogshit 30-chapter long ending left in your heart.
Such a silly and highly specific situation, couldn't possibly be me.

>>8387511
>fuck you nop2 bazillion years into future.
That's actually one of the few things I'm fine with desu. HFY is not about individual characters, it's about how humanity and (in scifi-settings) galactic society at large clash, reconcile, develop; and much like silly one-man-industrial-revolution isekais, the only way you'd realistically see things develop is to jump ahead.

Issue is, we're jumping ahead to *see* how tings have developed, but SP would rather throw it all by the wayside, maybe tease the reader once in a while with "oh we'll have a look (eventually (tm)) at how things have changed on Skalga :)" then give us the most shallow look and nothingburger he possibly could.
And that's with me perusing the sidestories on kemono to help tide me over, let alone all the non-paying/pirating normies thrown cold turkey into book 2.

the angle on the dick in this one is a little wonky. looks like the shaft and head are in profile, but the balls and the rest of the image is closer to 3/4ths and from below. also, the line weight is too uniform in places and things are a little wiggly/rough (like on the edges of the shadows/highlights). this might be personal bias talking, but for a shot like this you'd want to convey a feeling of smoothness and squishy-ness.
the viper's head poking out of the frame is a good stylistic choice, and overall the artwork is skillful.

Is this sarcasm? I'm unfamiliar with the work, but everything coming up on Google is ugly as fuck. This is why I don't actually like scifi all that much, they can't just use fantasy creatures, they have to make them ugly as fuck because it's Space or whatever. And not just the aliens, their clothes, worlds, environments, cities, etc. have to also be ugly as fuck. Only their spaceships and technology are probably going to look good.

>the angle on the dick in this one is a little wonky.
Using the powers of MS Paint I simply erased and connected the shaft to the balls and they do actually line up.
>>

The avian one here is alright. The centaur isn't the worst but it's a good example of "Well we literally can't imagine a life form without Earth animal traits so all we can do is put them together in a weird way if we're trying to be Hard Scifi about it" that generally leads to completely unappealing chimeras. Like, that's just a tusked tapirhorse. It's fine spec-evo but it just doesn't have any visual appeal.

I think you're spot on about that one, had a lot of trouble with the perspective and at a certain point said "fuckit good enough I guess" and just went forward. Good call on the lining too, didn't notice that, good for me to keep in mind.

glad the framing worked out well and was noticed, was something I spent far too long thinking about.

what adjustments do you see possibly needed on the second one?

>>8392699
I never said they would appeal specifically to what you like (I can't say I like/want to fuck them), but they are unique and there is a lot of thought put into the biology and culture of the aliens. try getting more in dept on it, there's unique stuff there

Btw, good stuff today. I agree that having her coming out of the frame is a good style choice. The space outside it helps to make the colors and shading pop out more. Also, I think the other anon was talking about what you should see of the dick from that angle. It's obscured, but it's more likely you'd see the frenulum from our pov. But since it's down a viper's throat, it's not bugging me all that much. Love the bit with the condom, though, that's golden.
>>8392724
Oh yeah, I get you on that. The centaurs aren't my favorite either. Plus, they're obligate carnivores that hunt by ramming things with their tusks. Hard to suspend by disbelief for that a little. Alien designs in general do have a chimera problem, but for a lot of people its hard to come up with totally alien features. So it's natural and understandable. However, compared to most original designs out there, they go above the humanoid bear minimum.

there are times when the best thing NoP did was allow fans to make fics set in or based on the same universe, such as Nature of Orion or Mutual Destruction or Nature of Magic. Its a fun setting to dissect, turn around, split, reinvent, but is it a fun product on its own? Not really. Theres one funny lizard and his squirrel buddy-cop synergy and everything else numbs my empathy
>>
>>8392465
I see we're done then
>>
any stories anyone here would recommend? not necessarily about romance, just sci-fi
>>
>>8392757
Thanks! definitely had fun with the condom bit, and stretchy viper throats give lots of options. I think done with viper content for now at least, other stuff on the back burner to work on now.

>I know the post-humans are all rough a fuck
Quite the understatement. It's got bearded women, token muslim vegans, and now there's that godawful deaf-mute "catgirl" too; all of it looking straight out of 2014 "freakshow circus == inclusion" era tumblr. Not quite what I was expecting when I picked it up somewhere around page 8.
Here's hoping it's just a phase and the comic will move on to the actual plot once all the "my webcomic is inclusive guise I swear" introductions are out of the way.

Otherwise I'd rather see more Leaving The Cradle, despite the russian ESLisms and comparatively worse art. First contact stories are more fun anyway ...and those thick raharr thighs do go quite a ways to help, too.

Vipers are allowed because you faggots are scalies.
If it was "agile cats with tits, all female species advent uses for infiltration because cats = agility" everyone would cry bloody murder and shit their pants (not me though, I'm a degenerate furfaggot and I like everything you can find on e621 except extreme tags).
Vipers are literally furshit and I never pretended they're anything but.

>Quite the understatement
Honestly, it is. The lgbt stuff is 'whatever' for me, but I don't think it's a phase for the creator. That stuff's been around forever in the setting. I hope the plot finally does get a move on, too. But I'm hesitant to keep going when I know I'll see more post-humans. I don't care if some company or country made it legal to do on their small rock in space, a lot of those GMH's are literal crimes against humanity. Multiple governments should be trying to bring in the people responsible for this and giving them life sentences. Don't we already have limits on what you can do to an embryo? Leaving The Cradle is alright, too. Just not as invested in it atm, either.

>because you faggots are scalies.
Not all of us. Personally I don't make a fuss, but when someone complains about them, they get ignored. Doesn't matter much now, NoP ayys are vipers 2.0. It is what it is.

well you cant exactly just turn someone into a monster, even if they want to, but you could turn a blank clone into one, then upload your mind into it and with enough fellow monsters start a monster post-human subspecies. But sometimes you don't have time to search for these people, sometimes you don't have mind-upload tech. But you do have a inhospitable piece of rock and genetic modification, so you gotta make do with turning babies into monsters, so they can live on the inhospitable planet. Why? Because its boring without aliens
>>
>>8392952
Yeah, it does change a lot.
>>
>>8392953
But in this setting, they DO have aliens. Four species + different sub-types. And the modification for humans like the monkey ones was purely for work and population efficiency, not surviving anything in particular. Most of the other ones are *purely* for cosmetic reasons, for people who will have no say in the process. It's a fucked up part of the setting with little to gain in-universe. I'd off myself if I was one of those whale fuckers.
