China’s Solar Giants May Need to Open Factories in U.S., Longi Chairman Says

Some Chinese solar manufacturers may have to open factories in the U.S. in the face of criticism that they are flooding the American market with cheap products made in Southeast Asia, the chairman of an industry leader in China said.
Setting up factories in the U.S. is one way to head off potential anti-dumping and countervailing duties, Zhong Baoshen, chairman of Longi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. (601012.SH), said during an earnings briefing Tuesday.
