<_<

Chi is cyan. Theta is teal.

I try picking colors that start with the same letter as the Greek alphabet letter (Rho is red, Beta is blue, Phi is purple, so on and so forth). Upsilon's name still technically makes sense; "Upsilon" is the closest to Y I could get. This really only applies to the main ones; Alpha, Zeta, Omicron, and Delta don't have this going. Epsilon is of course black, but Beta was already taken.

|+Gear+|

A number of slots about the base opened, the top of the structure glowing is a massive spell-circle, funneling power to the center. There I stood, perfectly in the center of the base. The array very quickly funneled massive amounts of power here, where the seemingly random structures placed around this 'garden' of technology would funnel it straight to the middle... and me. I could feel the power welling up inside me...

Something is a bit off. This wasn't in my calculations... this power is different from what I planned. But it isn't unwelcome. I embrace this new power, and...

A massive pillar of energy erupts from the center of Gear's base, drawing everyone's attention. A lone, glowing figure flies out of the energy as it dies down. It lands near Exwaizee.

Cross looked up from where he and Black Hole were attempting to strangle each other. Both had loosened their grips from when the pillar of energy erupted.

"Master... Gear?"

"Hahahaha... that's me, alright," I cackled in an echoing, metallic voice.

Black Hole

"What the hell?" I muttered without Ner'zhul's inflection in my voice.

"By the gods... boy, you wouldn't have seen it, but that base was crawling with them. Metal Fiends..."

"Fiends?" I asked, confused. This was new.

"The antithesis of Seraphim; they form when evil or demonic energy has tainted the essence of their birth. In this case, that base is made of khorium, demonicly tainted Thorium. Normally it's a tough metal, but stained with demonic energies is loses the exact properties of a metal while becoming stronger. Still close enough to metal to spawn Metal Fiends... this whole base is a giant spawning pool for them. But that array sucked them all to the center, to Gear. He's merged with all of them."

"That sounds... incredibly bad. One Dark Seraphim makes me damn powerful, he's got a freaking army of Metal Fiends?"

"Not exactly... with the merging has come something far, FAR more dangerous... you'll note the gray aura surrounding him, which seems to be filled with black holes?" Indeed Gear had such an aura. "That... that is the aura... of an Archfiend."

"Arch... fiend?" I muttered.

"The next step for Fiends. It's far, far, FAR more powerful. I don't know if we can fight him off. Our saving grace is that it shouldn't last forever; whatever Gear planned with that array couldn't have been planned to be permanent. I'd say his new form will last him about 15 minutes... still plenty enough for him to annihilate everyone on the battlefield."

"So... who should I massacre first? Think I'll start with YOU!" I roared, and charged at the gray Pikmin in front of me.

ARCHFIENDS WOO. An Archfiend is way, way WAY more powerful than a measly Fiend or Seraphim. This is a fight where everyone, including Exwaizee, will be struggling to survive. (Or course the guys on Gear's side aren't in danger)

Oooo, man, this is gonna be FUN!!! = D

Exwaizee Log

I had my sword out the half second before the new combatant struck. *CHANG!!*
I pushed his blade away and slashed, going as fast as possible without using any special techniques. I slashed him a couple of times and jumped away as he brought the blade down again; I whipped out the gun and fired off a spread of shots.
He shrugged off the blasts and charged again. *CLANG!!!* Our blades impacted again, I got shoved back by the sheer force... I'm going to like this fight!
I broke the hold between our blades and backed off a bit to ready myself for a light-speed strike. I exhaled and everything in my body down to my heart halted... Everything went silent for what might have felt like a day. I then struck! Ten hits occurred before I had to get things back up and running in me.
My opponent was surprised by the sudden series of attacks but quickly regained his footing. I breathed in and out quickly to get my heart up and running again and blocked another array of strikes... a challenging opponent for once.
~End Log~

The secret to Exwaizee's light-speed assault? Relaxing... to an extreme; as he says, EVERYTHING in his body, including his heart, STOPS, he takes a moment to gather a mass of energy (which would otherwise be used to keep his heart and other vital functions going) and then supplies it all to his arms and legs to move and attack faster than anyone. He can go without his heart beating for about 10 seconds and then he needs to attack and get it going again.
This techique takes a highly advanced amount of control over one's mind and the ability to work without your heart for a few seconds. Exwaizee's blood pressure peaks the moment before he uses this techique and then it quickly drops as his heart stops; he'd be flatlining on an EKG (Electrocardiogram) up until he finishing attacking.
Gear has 10 very DEEP cuts from the attack now (they can heal/repair of course but it will still smart).
I can show you some real pain if that's what you want.

Well, I can tell from how things are, this battle between Exwaizee and this "whacked-out" Gear is going to be uber, mega, super, EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (you get the idea, I hope)
Anyways, Ultra, I'm willing to wait for you post the continuation, just don't leave me hanging for over a week or anything, K?

Well...

I'll just sit on the sidelines.

??? Log

Well. A fight, a Big fight has broken out, and Sparky is currently watching from a long distance with a sniper scope. What am I waiting for here?

END LOG

My guys, when not doing anything look for fights to spectate on. And have been doing this for ages. They are far enough away not to be attacked.

*Ahem* I said...

STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE. *Mock angry face*

|+Gear???+|

Any pain from the attacks the weakling landed on me vanished in less than an instant, the wounds repairing shortly thereafter. I could analyze his every movement in crisp, perfect detail. From his perspective he may have been going fast. From mine he was crawling.

"You... are annoying," I grumbled, ignoring his feeble slashes. "And you... are... SLOW."

Like a flash of lightning, I lashed out, catching the fool in the cheek with a punch like a meteor, sending him flying off into the marsh, his landing creating a large blast of water, s***tered trees, and other detritus. I followed up by forming a large projectile weapon on my right arm and firing a shot, resulting in another massive explosion from the pest's lading point.

The action surrounding us, which had thus far been frozen, started up again. Seraph was fighting a black Pikmin who was firing off bolts of some strange energy. I couldn't see Metal Black Hole, but the fleshy one was fighting Cross... and doing rather well. I zoned in on him and gathered up the ruined pieces of several Gearteeth, forming them into new weapons to blast at Black Hole. He veered away from Cross, firing a last few waves of dark energy, then danced away from my shots. A high-pitched whistle alerted me to an attacker from behind; I pulled up a wall of khorium to block the blast, then receded it to view my assailant; Epsilon. Curse him, that's not someone I want to get hit by. At the same time, allowing him to miss could be life-threatening...

He shouldered a large weapon, which charged for a moment before firing a wide beam. I skittered out of the path, then formed a similar weapon and fired back, aiming for the ground near his feet. Epsilon jumped aside, but was still blown back from the explosion as the laser hit the dirt. The gray from before rushed back out of the marsh, sword at the ready. I parried his blow with a finger, then knocked him aside by piledriving a large hunk of khorium into his flank. Seraph suddenly entered my zone of control; I slowed him before he could impact me and set him gently to the ground. Just from the feel of him, I could tell something was missing; his left wing had been blown off. A number of strange burns marked his hull, a few damaged holes covering him. I picked out of a few pieces of khorium and molded them to replace his damaged armor and wing. He nodded at me and rushed back into the fight. That gray Pikmin rushed back in again... does he learn? I froze his blade in mid-slash; it was made of metal, after all, even if a foreign one. From there I roundhouse kicked him in the flank in the same spot I'd hit him earlier, sending him spiraling off again and leaving the sword behind. This I grabbed hold of, spun, and threw at Black Hole like a javelin. He took in clear in the stomach, then capitalized by pulling it out and running Cross through with it before firing a few waves of dark energy at me. I swatted his pitiful attacks off like gnats; not even his Seraphim can harm me now.

Ultramind, you've gone a little too far... you've accused me of overreacting before but this is going to be highly justified as Exwaizee isn't one that's going to be blown away so easy...
I don't care if you want everyone to be "struggling to survive", I wanted an epic fight between Exwaizee and Gear... looks like I'll just have end it the hard way!

Exwaizee Log

I popped my neck... right then, guess I'd best go all out. I spoke to Ka'Zull "Right, looks like I'll need some power to speed me up a bit more."
I got an intense surge of light energy and summoned my sword to me.
I caught it in my hand as several trees it had cut through fell.

I charged back onto the battlefield and coated my blade in plasma energy. "Galactic BLADE!" I swung, hitting the ground with the tip of my sword.
A wide pillar of plasma immediately erupted out from under the guy I was fighting, enveloping him completely! I charged up and he tried to hit past the plasma to make me go away again. I slammed him at an unseen speed (think light-speed tenfold) and cut him 100 times and reapplied the plasma pillar again.
I continued my assault, the guy's armor burning away from the plasma and I reapplied it three more times as I attacked, making sure the plasma was enough to hold him in, the power was more than enough to fry Omicron's base 10 times over.
Finally, the last of the armor burned away and I slammed the little yellow out of the pillar, he hit the base wall at Mach 3 and the aura around him s***tered.
I noticed the anger of the others and skipped out in a heartbeat.
~End Log~

The period that Exwaizee attacked for lasted 3 seconds. Gear is not dead but he's going to be out of it, period. Any argument over this and I'm outta here and you can have fun by yourselves (I'm not taking this ****ing GIANT godmodd this time around).
Just one application of "Galactic Blade" would have been enough to incinerate Omega.
Exwaizee by the way, has the ability to control plasma energy (which looks like green flames). He nevers uses it on weaker opponents.
I can show you some real pain if that's what you want.
The_Ultramind12 15 years ago#370
There is a very, very WIDE gap in the power between a Seraphim and an Archfiend; I don't GIVE a damn how fast or how strong Exwaizee is, even his Seraphim isn't going to branch a gap that obscenely wide. We're talking the gap between a turtle and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. Only an Archfiend or an Archangel has any real prayer against an Archfiend or an Archangel. Not to mention your speed and power mean little; a Seraphim can't muster the strength to even DAMAGE an Archfiend, which is what Gear's 'armor' is currently made of.

Well, that's discounting gods, of course, but then that's like the gap between... a protozoa and Shadowlyger.

I have every intention of revealing my most powerful character in a bit for my big epic arc finale (And this guy is WAAAAAAAAAAY more powerful than anyone else in the RP, but trust me he won't be around long) so give me a damn break.

Besides Gear's Archfiend form is only gonna last fifteen minutes, of which about... three minutes would have passed by this point. I have a plot-relevant ending to said timeframe anyway.

And who's overreacting? You'll notice the *Mock angry face*. This is supposed to tell you that most of the time, my pre-log stuff is all in good fun. When I'm mad, you'll know it.

I mean come on, let me throw out some surprises, plot twists, something new. Or if you prefer I could just power up Gear's array again for use on someone else and show what the planned effect is, which might actually prove MORE threatening. Then again I was saving that for MP's stupidly oversized battleship.

When I complain about stuff, it's usually in jest; I don't want you to change it or give up because that sucks the fun out of it. I enjoy a challenge, it keeps me thinking.

Also you'll hardly have to deal with another Archfiend; both Archfiends and Archangels are so immensely rare that you're lucky to even hear of one, much less see one. This one was pretty much just a fluke; Gear won't get a lucky break like this a second time.

Just to ease your whining, the next time an Archfiend shows up, it'll be fighting an Archangel, you'll get to see epic there.
