Gust Log

I found Waltiz who was rather concerned about me... surprising that he was more concerned for me than for himself or whoever else (besides Red) that fought my dragon-form.
Then seeing Waltiz reminded me that we needed to report to STONE! ACK! We're in so much trouble if he notices our absence!
"C'mon! We need to head back to the surface, NOW!"
I grabbed Waltiz's arm and ran a shuttle (I remembered from walking by) and ran inside... I looked over the controls and there didn't appear to be any clear-cut controls...
Omega came up behind me from outside "What's the rush?" he asked simply.
"I've... got business to take care of on the surface." I wasn't sure about telling him about who I worked for...
"These shuttles are commanded by Omicron so you'll need him to program it the course for you." (I'd imagine this makes sense to make sure someone doesn't try sabotage from the inside by high-jacking one of the shuttles)
"Last I checked with that brainiac, he was too concentrated on his work to know I was around."
Omega rolled his eyes "Typical"
"You think you could have Omicron get me and Waltiz here back to the surface?"
"Why don't just ask him yourself?" "I'm in hurry, okay?"
Omega turned, muttering "Talk about lazy..." but continued aloud "Alright, just this once."
After about a minute, the shuttle door closed and the shuttle disembarked.

Stone's base isn't in a swamp.

One other thing about Theta, if he's actually in Gear's area, not Stone's; then the area is still frosted over.
I can show you some real pain if that's what you want.

Oh yes, and Ultramind, if I portrayed Omega wrong in that last log, go ahead and modify the events a bit.
I can show you some real pain if that's what you want.

To get your locations straight Ultramind:

Stone's base is somewhere entirely underground in Wistful Wilds, hidden EXPERTLY well and it is very hard to triangulate the entrance's precise location. It is not swampland.

Gear's base is in Snitchbug Swamp which is still iced over by Stone's Cryo-bomb. The tower sticks out like the proverbial thumb.

Oh, the glacier was the tower you were talking about... would have preferred if you'd called it a glacier considering it is one, as I was a bit confused. Along the lines of 'There are no towers on Gear's base...'

... Bah, what kind of aspiring evil overlord are you? Who actually builds underground bases? They're boring. You can't see them, so people can't see how gloriously awesomely evil you are.

Whatever. Enclosed underground area is easier to freeze.

<Theta>

The Wistful Wild... Appropriate. The land is barren, and little life roams about.

"Something... is amiss," Theta croaked in an icy voice that saw far too little use, before hopping down from the frozen boulder he'd been sitting on and silently moving toward whatever it was that was twinging his senses. A few moments after he'd left, the "boulder" slowly thawed and revealed itself to be the frozen corpse of a Gatling Groink, with a number of frozen cuts embedded in its skin. These cuts simply refused to thaw.

Standing in a now-mostly-frozen clearing and giving the area about him a world-weary glance, Theta looked down. Something beneath... something wrong. Theta vaguely recalled abhorring wrongs in the past; a life that seemed so far away now. A life he could barely recall...

Theta really didn't particularly care. However, it was something to do; something to break the endless monotony of a meaningless existence. For if nothing else, there was one thing Theta was determined to do.

Survive.

There is, in fact, a good reason why Theta can detect your base; it's also the reason his eyes give off that icy mist. Can you figure it out?

I'm guessing an Ice Seraphim?
I wouldn't really know...

And you need to remember that Stone is technically amateur among evil overlords, Gear's is a pro. Stone's still just getting down the ropes.

Stone Log

There's something very cold up on the surface, right on top of the entrance hatch... hmmm... if it can get itself in I guess I'll see how it handles things.
I tried contacting Gust again, and she responded "Gust here sir. My apologies for not responding, I got captured and managed to contact Waltiz who came to help. I called for his help so he can be excused."
I groaned... she was dragging things out... something is wrong. "Gust that is unimportant right now, we got a possible visitor over at home base... get over here, NOW!"
"Right away!"
I closed the channel... right... lets see what this cold zone can do...
~End Log~

Trying to enter Stone's base nearly got Red killed and he hardly got to do anything in there short of fighting.
Anyways, Theta is going to have to deal with a large number of traps all over the place. Stone is not the type that likes to waste time watching his opponent die, if he gets an opportunity to squash you between walls, he will have the walls going 100+ MPH, not the stereotypical slow approach and slowly squish you between them. He believe that such tomfoolery is likely to get you killed when the "hero" disarms the trap with the excess time.
One other thing Ultramind, by going into Stone's base, you're giving permission to kill the intruder; Theta had better be able to handle this without you BSing your way through otherwise, he's going look like roadkill by the end.

<Omega>

MAN, I need to do that more often.

One incredibly long fight against Adaptrix later, I was actually exhausted, something that just about nobody else can manage. Must come up here more often.

... On second thought, what with the walking amalgamation of insanity walking toward me, maybe not.

"Hey Omega!" Chi called cheerfully. I gave him a cautious look; dealing with this particular Pikmin was usually a test of saintly patience and the ability to resist your brain's violent urge to shut down.

"Hi... Chi," I called back warily. The cyan chrono-min gave me a directed look.

"Say, would you know where Omicron is?" he asked. I gave him a half-lidded look, then pointed at the central control sphere.

"Where is he ALWAYS at?" I asked rhetorically.

"Thanks!" Chi's voice called from over by said sphere, even though he was very much still standing in front of me, giving me an innocent look. I resisted the urge to turn and look at where his voice had come from, resolutely keeping my eyes on the one in front of me. Right up until he wasn't there, even though he still was.

My brain immediately protested this as completely impossible, so rather than puzzling over it and frying my brain, I turned and walked away. Let Omicron deal with the chrono-min; of all things on this planet, Chi is the only one capable of confounding me. Every. Single. Time. I see him.

Making my way to the shuttle bay, I found the blue Pikmin and the robot that had accompanied her. She appeared to be looking for any sort of controls, which was pretty futile; Omicron and his AI Cycelea controlled the entire system themselves, via the network, so no outside controls existed.

"What's the rush?" I asked, sauntering into the shuttle bay. The blue Pikmin - Gust, if I recall - turned to look at me.

"I've... got business to take care of on the surface," she replied. That little hesitation at the start told me something was a bit off, but it isn't my place to butt into other people's business.

"The shuttles, and the whole system for that matter, are controlled by Omicron; you'll need to get him to ready one to get you down to the surface."

"Last I checked on that brainiac, he was too concentrated on his work to know I was around," she muttered. I rolled my eyes. Omicron had probably been completely aware that she was there, but when he was plugged into the system, he wasn't really able to react to visitors, what with being busy running parts of the colony with computerized efficiency. He relied on Cycelea to tell him when a visitor is deemed important enough to call him away from what he was doing, and she probably hadn't figured Gust to be important enough.

"Typical..." I muttered.

"You think you could have Omicron get me and Waltiz here back to the surface?" the blue Pikmin inquired. I shrugged.

"Why don't you just ask him yourself?" I muttered, though with Chi up here, leaving the colony was beginning to look like a good idea; I don't wanna be trapped up here with that psycho.

"I'm in a hurry, okay?"

I turned around. "Talk about lazy..." I muttered. "Alright, just this once," I muttered, before morphing my arm and sticking it through the wall, doing no actual damage. Grabbing hold of a network wire, I changed the arm's properties again to gain connection, then called up Cycelea.

"Hey, could you get us a shuttle out of here? I'd prefer to not be on the colony with Chi, and these two just wanna head back to the surface," I explained.

Cycelea was aware of my capability to connect to the network, and as such complied wordlessly, opening a shuttle door.

"Thanks. Remember to tell Omicron we're leaving, kay? Thanks," I finished, and pulled my arm back out of the wall before gesturing to the shuttle.

"Ladies first," I said cheekily.

Gust Log

I smirked at Omega's little offering... "Ladies first"...how classic... I ran by and got on board
Omega jumped aboard as the shuttle readied to take off. "Had enough up here already?" I asked.
Omega just glanced around for a moment and then settled back without bothering to answer.

The shuttle was just setting down when Stone called in...
The news didn't sound too good...
I whipped out my blade and shifted to wind to speed up my trip back to base, spared one last glance at Omega "See ya." and I took off with Waltiz following.
From where we're at, it should take me three hours to get back to base.

Yes, an Ice Seraphim... but the two work together is altogether different.

<Theta>

The door has been opened. A way in has presented itself... an invitation.

Theta stepped into the breach and gazed about the area he found himself in. So many energy signatures... Twisting about in myriad ways, forming all the kinds of traps one could think of. Theta was unimpressed. Raising his frozen sword, he jabbed it into the floor, through the energy signature of the wires there, and streamed ice along the sensitive electronics, immediately knocking out half the traps. The others were on independent power nodes and would need to be dealt with as they attempted to kill him; still, they didn't appear to be much trouble.

Pulling his sword from the floor, Theta strode forward, dragging the blade along the floor and leaving a frozen groove in his wake. The usual freeze-surroundings bit would have to go for now; he'd need his energy to block the traps that came his way, even if the manipulation of ice wasn't terribly power consuming. With that in mind, he formed four dense blocks of ice in the air about him, then simply hovered them along with him. Four hunks of permafrost should be plenty enough ice to defend himself...
___________________________________________________________________________
You'll find that ice, if cold enough, becomes amazingly resilient. Permafrost is the coldest of the cold, barring absolute zero; outright FIRE can't melt permafrost, hence the name.
