Ultimate Concealed Carry (16 Hours)

Overview

Now that you have taken Introduction to Concealed Carry, it’s time to apply the fundamentals and a defensive mindset into daily challenges of the armed citizen. In Ultimate Concealed Carry, students will learn the challenges with drawing safely while in a seated position, working in and around vehicles, working in low light and darkness, and working through crowds. This course was designed around lessons learned from real world experiences, to better prepare the responsible armed citizen by placing them in real world type environments. This course will challenge each student to be more prepared, safer, and more confident while carrying a concealed firearm.

Experience Requirements

This is an advanced level class. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, firearm system familiarity, foundational marksmanship skills, and working from a holster. Successful completion of Introduction to Concealed Carry is required prior to registering for this class.

Course Outline

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Define reciprocity and how it applies to storing and traveling with firearms.
• Identify proper vehicle storage, and additional gear carried in vehicle.
• Identify how to draw from seated positions and relate them to everyday situations.
• Demonstrate how to safely exit a vehicle while engaging a threat.
• Demonstrate how to work in and around vehicles with a partner.
• Apply different handheld light techniques in low light and no light situations.
• Identify methods of using light when working around barricades.
• Practice maintaining good peripheral vision when moving around a crowd to engage a
• threat.
• Demonstrate methods to move bystanders and engage a threat.

Equipment List

• Clothing suitable for training in any weather (pants must have belt loops)
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5" wide
• Concealment jacket, vest, button down shirts, pullovers, (a garment that can be worn in a closed or open capacity)
• Handheld flashlight
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Hydration system
• Wraparound eyewear with polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription
• Electronic hearing protection, earmuffs, or earplugs
• If bringing personal firearm, student will need a holster capable of being concealed.

Tuition includes free loan of firearms, holsters, safety glasses and hearing protection at the Epping, NH, New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Colorado Springs, CO locations.

Ammo

• Estimated round count: 650 rounds pistol
• For Epping, NH courses, non-toxic, non-jacketed FRANGIBLE ammunition may be required - call for clarification
• Lead core ammunition to be used on steel only
• No green/brown tip, armor piercing, or surrogate rounds to be used on steel at any time
• Ammunition is available for purchase from the Epping, New Smyrna Beach, and Colorado Springs facilities only
