China's strong response to NATO, accusing it of being "a decisive facilitator of Russia's war against Ukraine":
"We strongly oppose the US spreading disinformation about China's so-called support for the Russian defense industry, for which there is no evidence. We deplore and reject the erroneous remarks by the US side.
Soon after the crisis in Ukraine erupted, the US falsely claimed that China was providing military support to Russia. To date, the US has not provided any substantial evidence. Even US military chiefs have admitted that China has not provided military assistance to Russia in the Ukraine crisis.
Statistics show, in fact, that more than 60% of military components and dual-use items imported by Russia come from the US and other Western countries. 95% of the main Russian components destroyed by Ukraine come from the West, and 72% of the western parts of Russian-made weapons come from American companies. How does the US explain this?
Moreover, the US and its allies have not yet stopped negotiating with Russia. Last year, its trade with Russia reached more than $ 130 billion, accounting for 18% of Russia's foreign trade. Most countries in the world do not engage in sanctions against Russia or stop their trade with Russia. China is just the scapegoat of the US.
It is hypocritical and double standards for the US to falsely accuse China of having normal trade and economic exchanges with Russia [... The United States has often asserted itself as the so-called champions of justice, defenders of human rights and world police, but what it has done is fanned the flames, sowed discord and created confrontations and rivalries. Who is to blame for the crisis in Ukraine? Who is behind regional conflicts, wars and protracted crises? Who is the biggest source of instability that has undermined world peace? The world has its eyes wide open.
Let me make it clear once again that China is not the creator of the Ukraine crisis nor is it part of it. That said, we did not sit idly by and watch the crisis unfold. On the contrary, we have worked actively to enable peace talks and a political solution. We have never sought to fuel the flames, we have never profited from the crisis, let alone supplied weapons to any party to the conflict. This position is clear and consistent.
On this basis, there is normal and legitimate trade and business cooperation between Chinese companies and other countries, including Russia, in accordance with WTO rules and market principles, which is not for certain countries to judge.
The United States could well reflect on the root cause of the crisis and do something for peace instead of being an unjust judge in this crisis. The U.S. should never expect China to pay for the mistakes it has made, and China will never accept U.S. blame-shifting, intimidation and coercion."
