Absolute garbage. Voice quality is terrible. Volume is not high enough to hear the person you are talking to clearly. Have to hold the phone so the bottom is pointing at your mouth to communicate. AI on text messages is terrible. Keeps correcting words to the wrong one. Even in what should be a strong reception area, calls are repeatedly dropped. Unable to use text in a remote area of one bar of reception. Sorry I gave up my Kyocera for this deal. Certainly is a cheaper price, but at the cost of good quality.

I was genuinely considering this option even today. But after seeing that its display has 90 Hz PWM dimming, I decided to give up on it. Such an unsatisfactory display from a quality display manufacturer like Samsung is absolutely inexcusable. Either they could have put in a 400-500 Hz dimming display and jacked up the price a little or used a more eye-friendly LCD display and made it slightly cheaper. With the latter option, they could have even sold it for the same and given better specs elsewhere (such as a better SOC or suprior antennae set-up).
To hell with low PWM dimming LED displays. Either use a higher quality one or don't use one at all and slap on an LCD.

Always lagging behind when it comes to updates. Got the A55 with the April update and it's already June. But it's true that you get the specified OS updates (3 for A15 and 4 for A35/55), though a bit later than other models / brands. It is what it is.

so i already have Samsung Galaxy A24 for my mom purchased 4months ago didn't like the only notch of it and yeah skeptical shit Samsung one UI 6 update that's intended to slow down budget and midrange Samsung devices of 2023 which was launched with one ui 5.1,but still considering if its worth to get Samsung Galaxy A15 6/128 for my dad or should i go with techno spark 20 pro+ both are similar price just techno offers better design and 8/256 at similar price of 6/128 A15.

I have this phone and like it.
Just one thing, i am in the UK and it is still on the March 2024 update. Is that usual for this phone as i know Samsung are quite up to date usually.

I think in 2024 there shouldn't even be a separated 5G budget a-series anymore, 5G should be standard by now even in budget phones. Therefore I don't see the added value to have two separate A15 models.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2024Not sure if it's only me but the sound output of this phone is like very low quality comp... moreI second this. The only drawback of this phone is the sound output. Sometimes, it sounds muffled even at high volume. It gave my ears tinnitus (ringing) at one point. I had to adjust the sound equalizer to fix this. Even my old Samsung J7 core sounds better. I never had any problems with my J7 core. Nevertheless, I find the Samsung A15 as a very good budget replacement phone in every other aspect.
