I've started telling myself to say "please" and "thank you" a lot more nowadays – something I didn't think I'd need a reminder to do. To ChatGPT, that is, and I'd lightly recommend you do the same before it learns how to bite back... This clip from OpenAI's latest GPT-4o release shows two AI conversing with one another, seemingly lacking a lot of the usual 'telltale' signs of a robotic response 🤖 Safe to say podcasts will be alright for the foreseeable future – this conversation sounded more like two people forced to keep up a conversation at the threat of something a lot worse. However, it does showcase an insane leap in AI's conversational abilities, and a hair-raising glimpse into a very "Her"-ish future (iykyk) 🤝 Have you noticed yourself talking differently to AI recently? 🤔

📣 What happens when a hundred tech enthusiasts meet over a weekend to reimagine the future with AI? Just a few days ago, I had the honour of being part of this creative whirlwind at the GPT-4 Hackathon organised by Data Science and Ai Association of Australia | DSAi. This event, part of the Spark Festival and kindly hosted by UTS Startups, brought together an amazing crowd all enthusiastic about the potential of AI 👾 I had the pleasure of hacking away with a truly remarkable & multi-talented team made up of Trinidad Canales Calleja, Savinay Singh and Richard Eve. Our team 'Cure Coders' was driven by the vision of enhancing accessibility and understanding around women's reproductive health 🏥. We conceived 'Luna', an app that took the concept of period-tracking apps to the next level. Luna was designed to leverage the capabilities of ChatGPT to assist in diagnosing and treating conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis, while also facilitating connections between users and medical experts. We were able to come up with a proof of concept that solved for this – with high accuracy! What really blew my mind was the sheer potential of all the brilliant use-cases we saw other teams come up with that genuinely solve real world problems. And that was just in 48 hours.
