According to the publication, defense companies and the Pentagon realized that their early estimates of the timing of the increase in weapons production for Kiev were too optimistic.

For example, doubling production of the Javelin missile will take four years instead of the original two. Such delays are the result of labor shortages, supply chain disruptions and bureaucratic complications.
