Geometry is very interesting... You might have realised these things while dealing with it... 1. You can-not draw a "point" On paper... Yes, try it. That dot which you made, is NOT a point. Point is dimensionless... Take a picture of that dot, and zoom it 10x... Now it's a bigger circle, rather disk. So, it's not a point. You can only "represent" A point, by making a dot on paper. In AutoCAD, if you draw a point, it's still "representing" A point... As It does have some dimensions... Point has to be dimension less. But in AutoCAD, even if you zoom 10x, it will remain same tiny dot, it will not become bigger... AutoCAD knows, it can not draw a point, it can just represent it... So, it does not enlarge it on zooming.. 2. Have you realized, that certain GD&T parameters when we speak, that is actually NOT what we mean to say.. Like, when we say "straightness" Of a line or "flatness" of a plane surface is 0.05 mm, what do we actually mean.. ? We mean "Out of flat" - ness. That is 0.050... Flatness CAN NOT have any value.... If it has a value other than ZERO, Then it's NOT flat... Means, we are actually speaking about : "not flat" ness ..... Not " Flatness" Interesting... Isn't it ? 😊
