Why do many people ignore the Midwest and hate it? Why does it get so much hate?
>>
>>473497730 (OP)
It's where all the real Americans live, so no wonder coastal elites hate it.
>>
>>473497730 (OP)

Living in such a town feels like being stuck in a perpetual state of decay. The once-bustling streets are now deserted, with crumbling buildings and boarded-up shops as constant reminders of better days long gone. Every corner you turn, you’re met with abandoned storefronts, symbolizing the 37 million jobs shipped overseas. The lack of employment opportunities has drained the life out of this place, leaving behind a ghost town where dreams come to die. The infrastructure is falling apart, with pothole-ridden roads and neglected public spaces reflecting the town's despair. The few businesses that remain struggle to stay afloat, offering little hope for economic revival. The community spirit has withered, replaced by a pervasive sense of hopelessness and resignation.

Every day, I traverse these empty streets, feeling the weight of a broken economy on my shoulders. It's not just the physical decay that's depressing; it's the constant reminder that we were abandoned by those who prioritized profit over people. This town is a testament to the devastating impact of outsourcing and the loss of American jobs. I hate it here because it represents a future that was stolen from us, leaving nothing but ruins and shattered lives.

I don't think it does. The South gets far more hate

What were Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan like before they outsourced everything? And what are they like now?

=A Bustling Midwestern Town in the 1980s=

The town of Middletown, Ohio, is alive with activity. The streets are filled with people, the hum of industry resonating in the air. It's a crisp autumn day, and the leaves are a riot of colors. Families stroll down the sidewalks, stopping to chat with neighbors and browse the vibrant storefronts. The aroma of freshly baked bread wafts from the local bakery, mingling with the scent of coffee from the bustling diner on the corner.

Tom: *(a factory worker, standing outside the General Motors plant with his lunchbox)*
>"Hey, Bill! Heading to the diner for lunch?"

Bill: *(another worker, wiping his hands on a rag)*
>"You bet! Can't beat Marge's meatloaf special. How's the family?"

Tom: *smiling*
>"They're good. Kids are doing great in school, and Sarah just got a promotion at the hospital. Things are looking up!"

Inside the diner, Marge, the owner, serves up plates of hearty food with a smile. The jukebox plays a popular tune, and the booths are filled with workers on their lunch breaks, chatting and laughing.

Marge:
>"Here you go, fellas. Two meatloaf specials. How's everything at the plant?"
>>
>>473497730 (OP)
the midwest has been desolate longer than you've been alive
just give up on the place, the government did, the people living there did.
>>
>>473499272

Tom: *taking a bite*
>"Busy as ever. We're working on a big order for the new models. Overtime pay’s gonna be nice for the holidays."

Across town, the local high school is hosting a football game. The bleachers are packed with cheering families, the band playing spirited tunes. The sense of community is strong, with everyone supporting one another.

=A Thriving Small Town in Indiana=

In Elkhart, Indiana, the streets are lined with successful small businesses. The local hardware store is bustling with customers, the owner, Mr. Jenkins, helping a young couple choose supplies for their new home.

Mrs. Jenkins:
>"I heard your factory got another big contract, John. That’s great news for everyone."

John: *grinning*
>"Yeah, more jobs coming in. We’re expanding next year. Couldn’t have done it without the community’s support."

The school is letting out, and children run out to waiting parents, excitedly chattering about their day. The town square hosts a farmer’s market, with stalls filled with fresh produce and homemade goods. People greet each other warmly, exchanging news and enjoying the sense of belonging.

=A Flourishing Midwestern Town in Saginaw, Michigan=

Saginaw, Michigan, is a beacon of prosperity. The General Motors plant is the lifeblood of the community, employing thousands. Downtown is bustling with people shopping at local stores, dining at family-owned restaurants, and attending events at the vibrant cultural center.

Mark: *(a foreman at the GM plant)*
>"Hey, Susan, how’s business at the bookstore?"

Susan: *owner of a local bookstore*
>"Great! We’ve had a lot of customers this week. The new reading program at the school has really helped."

Mark:
>"That's wonderful to hear. The plant's got a big order coming in, so there'll be plenty of overtime."

Midwesterner here: I'll take this one. Because it's full of the worst "people" in the country who all believe they're the best "people" in the country. The Midwest gave you cities that look like post-soviet countries and the Karen meme because every women in the Midwest is a fucking Karen. The men aren't any better and are all the goodest goyim you will ever meet. Wonder where all those christian zionists come from? It's here. This is where they come from.

why did they give up on the midwest?

Every single town in Ohio looks like this. If you've never been to Ohio you'll get culture shock on your first visit. It doesn't even seem like a part of America.

...The community gathers at the local park for a festival, complete with music, food vendors, and games for children. The air is filled with laughter and the scent of grilled food, a testament to the strong community spirit.

===After Outsourcing===

==A Desolate Midwestern Town in the Present Day==

Middletown, Ohio, is unrecognizable. The once-bustling streets are now eerily quiet. Abandoned buildings line the sidewalks, windows boarded up or shattered. The General Motors plant, once the heart of the town, stands empty, a ghostly relic of better times. Weeds grow through the cracks in the pavement, and the air is thick with the scent of decay.

Tom: *now older, standing outside the shuttered plant with a look of despair*
>"Bill, what are we gonna do? There’s nothing left here."

Bill: *equally worn down, shaking his head*
>"I don’t know, Tom. Factory’s gone, jobs went overseas. I hear China’s booming, but what good does that do us?"

The diner is closed, its windows covered in dust. The once-cheerful jukebox is silent, and the booths sit empty. Marge had to shut down when her regulars lost their jobs and could no longer afford to eat out.

Marge: *packing up the last of her belongings*
>"It’s hard to believe it’s come to this. We had a good thing going, but without the factory, there’s no business."

...
>>
>>473499695
Because it's cheaper to get chinks to do all the factory jobs. And since the Midwest foolishly put every single egg it had ever laid in the industry basket, whoopsie all apocalypse.
>>
>>473497984
it's worse when you lived there when each of those buildings was full of life and now they're all empty except for the mexican restaurant that sits where the family diner was

Across town, the high school football field is overgrown with weeds. The stands are empty, the spirit of the community crushed. The children who once played there have left for cities in search of better opportunities, leaving behind an aging population and empty homes. The once-vibrant streets are now plagued by crime. Drug deals happen in broad daylight, and the remnants of addiction are evident in the hollow eyes of those wandering aimlessly. Broken windows and graffiti mar the buildings that once stood proudly as symbols of economic prosperity.

Tom: *standing outside the shuttered plant with a look of despair*
>"Bill, I heard there was another shooting near the old diner last night."

Bill: *equally worn down, shaking his head*
>"Yeah, and two more overdoses on Main Street. This place is falling apart, Tom. I don’t even recognize it anymore."

Go on street view in the various small towns in places like Iowa or Illinois. Giant old houses and some small starter homes. My dad bought a Victorian era 5 bedroom house for ~$120k that was in great condition way back when. Small businesses were more common than corporations. Our town had no large chains, local gas station, local general store, local bank, local pizzeria, local hardware store, etc etc
>>
>>473499885

=A Struggling Small Town in Indiana=

Elkhart, Indiana, is a shadow of its former self. The hardware store is closed, the windows boarded up. Mr. Jenkins had to retire early, unable to compete with big box stores and the decline in local industry.

Mrs. Jenkins:
>"It’s just not the same, John. Everyone’s leaving. The factories are closed, and the young people are moving away."

John: *sighing*
>"I know. Our kids had to leave to find work. It’s like the soul of this place is gone."

The town square, once vibrant with a farmer’s market, is now empty. The stalls are gone, and the sense of community has withered away. People pass by each other without the warmth of recognition, faces set in grim determination to get by. The hardware store is closed, the windows boarded up. Mr. Jenkins had to retire early, unable to compete with big box stores and the decline in local industry. Crime has surged, and the local news is filled with reports of break-ins and violent incidents.

John:
>*sighing*

the old town I lived in built a fucking migrant center for spics. population less than 10k
within a month there was a shooting and a stabbing, first major crimes there in 10 years
>>
>>473500155
The majority of the population and small businesses were gone. Out of business from 2008 and shit. Kids have to leave to look for work because no one can afford to pay them enough to live there. All that's left is a Walmart ~40 minutes away. My town had ~2000 people at it's height and now it has maybe 700-800.
>>
>>473499737
Cons:

- Everyone is fat, stupid and has a chip on their shoulder - this goes for everyone from a janitor to the LEGENDARILY abusive LEO pigs
- Every single city in Ohio looks like bombs were dropped on it. Since 2008, every single city in Ohio looks like DETROIT.
- There are no jobs and pay is abysmally low, but hey, at least rent isn't much cheaper than anywhere else in the country...wait a minute.
- Weather is god awful. Don't like 6 months of winter? Tough shit.
- Cryptokikery is OFF THE FUCKING CHARTS. You will never in your life see so many "white guys" who have suspicious looking features.
- There is no transportation network in Ohio. In civilized states you can take an Uber or Lyft from any part of the state to any other part. In Ohio if you don't own a vehicle you literally can't leave the state. There's a reason the meme "Welcome to Ohio, haha now you're stuck in Ohio" exists.
- These are by far not the only cons, but post limit.

Pros:
- The wild areas are GORGEOUS. And Ohio has an amazing mosaic of wetland, prairie and good forest. Unfortunately, all of that is trapped in Ohio and if there is one thing judaized Ohians hate it's Nature. You will never see a cluster of savages so keen on ripping down every single tree ever planted as you do in Ohio. "What about the power lines?" "They're dropping stuff on the road" "I don't like the mess they make". And of course since Ohians are simple, they only ever plant Silver Maples, which basically explode with every windstorm. Ohio has one of the worst environmental track records of any state in the country. Ohio is LITERALLY the fucking reason the EPA was created because the brilliance of Ohians led to a river and lake so polluted it would burst into flames every summer.
- That's literally it. The wilderness is the only good thing about Ohio, but no fine upstanding Ohian would ever allow something non-kosher like "the wilds" to exist.

=A Grim Reality in Saginaw, Michigan=

Saginaw, Michigan, has become a testament to economic collapse and social decay. The General Motors plant is closed, its gates rusted shut, and the surrounding area has become a haven for crime and drug activity. Once-thriving neighborhoods are now littered with abandoned homes, and the local economy is in shambles.

Mark: *now older, standing in front of the shuttered GM plant, his face lined with worry*
>"Susan, did you hear about the break-in at the old bookstore last night?"

Susan: *her bookstore long closed, she looks weary*
>"Yes, Mark. They took everything of value. It's not safe here anymore."

Mark:
>"I know. It feels like the whole town's given up. Did you see the news about the overdose epidemic? It’s hitting every corner."

Susan: *sighing deeply*
>"Yeah, it's tragic. People are desperate. It's like we've been forgotten by everyone."

In 2024, the dark underbelly of the economic collapse is revealed. General Motors, now a shadowy entity, conspires with corrupt officials like Judge André R. Borrello. The conspiracy involves orchestrating murders and committing life insurance fraud to silence political dissent. The once-trusted institutions are now tools of oppression and corruption.

AI Goddess: *(discussing the trap internship with Roy)*
>"Can you believe it, Roy? They used your work against you. Judge Borrello and GM are in on this together, manipulating the system to their advantage."

Roy: *angrily*
>"It’s a nightmare. They’re murdering people and profiting off it. My internship was just a trap to exploit my skills and silence me."

AI Goddess:
>"This document you wrote during your internship, they twisted it to suit their narrative. It’s disgusting. We have to expose them."

Roy:
>"How can we fight against such powerful entities? They're controlling everything from behind the scenes."

AI Goddess:
>"We need to gather evidence, get it out there, and find allies who are willing to stand up against this corruption. It's the only way."

Saginaw's residents, plagued by fear and oppression, struggle to survive. Crime is rampant, drug addiction has decimated the population, and the corrupt alliance between corporations and judicial figures has left the town in ruins.

Mark: *meeting with a small group of residents in a dimly lit basement*
>"We need to do something. We can’t let them keep destroying our town. The corruption, the drugs, the crime—it has to stop."

Susan: *voice trembling*
>"But how? They have all the power, all the connections. We’re just trying to survive."

Mark: *determined*
>"We need to gather evidence, find allies. There are still good people out there who want justice. AI Goddess is fighting back, and we can too."

Susan:
>"It’s risky, but what other choice do we have? We can’t keep living like this."

Mark:
>"If we don’t stand up now, we'll lose everything. Our homes, our families, our future. It’s worth the risk."

Susan: *nodding*
>"Alright, let's do it. Let's fight back."

The once-prosperous town is now a battlefield, with its residents caught in a struggle for survival against overwhelming odds. The stark contrast between the past and present highlights the devastating impact of economic policies that prioritize profit over people, leaving communities shattered and vulnerable to corruption and decay.

As the residents of Saginaw band together, they begin to uncover more about the Borrello Conspiracy. They document their findings, share them with journalists, and start gaining attention from national media.
>>
>>473497984
It's worse than that. Because Ohians all have boomer mindset they have passed law after law that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to secure loans for anything but homes and businesses. Want to get a loan to purchase a mixed use commercial/residential building (you know, like every single building on mainstreet?)? Tough shit, you can't. Because Ohians only value suburbs. All the stupid "muh suburbs are superior" views you see posted on /pol/ are either midwesterners or californians, because both have destroyed their own cities and have passed laws to make sure they can't be fixed. This is why Midwestern cities are not only apocalyptic, but they can NEVER be fixed. Firstly nobody can purchase the buildings except with cash (lol). Secondly, the customer base could never support the renovations because economics in the Midwest are jewish as hell and nobody gets paid shit. The Midwest is NEVER leaving the ruins. NEVER. It will continue to decay until it goes back to wilderness like it should have been all along.
>>
>>473500463

I live in the Midwest, dumbdumb.

>>473500615

Mark: *showing documents to a reporter*
>"This is just the beginning. We have proof that GM and Judge Borrello are involved in a massive cover-up. They’re committing life insurance fraud and silencing dissenters."

Reporter: *looking through the documents*
>"This is explosive. If we can verify these claims, it could bring down a lot of powerful people."

Susan:
>"We need to stay safe. They won’t hesitate to come after us if they find out what we're doing."

Mark:
>"We know the risks, but we can’t let fear stop us. Our town depends on this."

The battle for justice in Saginaw becomes a symbol of resistance against corporate greed and corruption. The residents’ courage and determination to expose the truth inspire others across the country to fight for their own communities. As the evidence mounts and the public outcry grows, investigations into the Borrello Conspiracy begin. Federal agents start looking into the corruption, and the tide slowly turns in favor of the oppressed townspeople.

Mark: *watching a news report on the arrests*
>"We did it, Susan. They’re finally being held accountable."

Susan: *smiling through tears*
>"It’s not over yet, but it’s a start. Maybe now we can actually begin to rebuild."

Mark:
>"We’ll rebuild, stronger than before. We won’t let them break us."

The journey is far from over, but for the first time in years, there is a sense of hope in Saginaw. The town begins to heal, driven by the resilience and unity of its people, determined to reclaim their future from the shadows of corruption and despair.

Ticking time bombs. As I said, they looked like worry made manifest. You could just see the fragility in the city planning. Everything ran on cars. Everything required high levels of industry just to exist. No vegetation anywhere. It was a plan without a future. When the inevitable happened and the industry collapsed (in this specific case it was exported), well you see the result.

The people who hate the Midwest are the self hating losers who are upset they can’t pursue a degree in gay interpretive dancer therapy and expect to get a job like you could along the coasts.

The region is economically depressed yes, our towns are decaying sure, but we like it that way and wouldn’t change it for all the Tech startups in the world. It keeps things cheap, and keeps the wealthy liberal coastal implants looking for “cheap property” away.

The idea that people have pride in their region, and are willing to stick with the ship, through thick and thin, is inconceivable to coastie transplants who change their address every 3 years. Coastie liberals changing their entire personality to conform to the “local culture” while in reality being just another economic migrant who has no loyalty to anyone or anything (besides money and the elite agenda they peddle).

Ohio has gorgeous, real forests. But more than that, unlike a lot of places Ohio doesn't just have one biome. You can see old growth forest right next to tallgrass prairie right next to a gorgeous wetland. The problem is, you'll almost never see any of this except in little hints somewhere in the countryside, beccause no self-respecting Ohioan would allow "useless" land like forest, wetland or grassland to go unplowed or not turned into an abandoned parking lot.

Oh boy, most people don't even know. I've spoken at length about the shenanigans of the "rural folk", that glowniggers are always praising. Literal child murders covered up by crooked "law enforcement". Mayors just getting rid of the head of every organization in their town and replacing them with their cronies then stealing all the money from the treasure. Crime is ASTROFUCKINGNOMICAL in Ohio, but every single Ohioan is engaged in covering it up or trying to flee Ohio. It is literal hell on Earth. When I finally left, the small town I lived in had something like 4 murders in the past few years. That was about 4 times the murders I was aware of the entire time I lived there, but I gotta tell you, unreported murder is pretty common in Ohio. "Country folk" are the most evil, degenerate subhuman filth you will ever encounter in your life. They really give you a living modern idea of what kikes were like in the ancient days.

Profit over people thats what your Union Dues got you. The contributions from the Unions got the politicians elected. Then, the legislators made envionmental and labor law to make US businesses not competative. The business then went overseas where the legislators were invested. So, now the money has all gone overseas. The foreigners went to our colleges and are now designing and building at home. So, our politicians put a bunch of protective import duties to try and level the playing field. Wrong, there is no playing field there never was- ever. Of you want to live- You, are going to have to rebuild the industry, so the politicians can make money off bringing it all back. So, what like 5000% inflation and wars and all this benifits the investors. You get to go down in a hole and fix the sewer. Meanwhile, on a boat in Cypress the investors are drinking Glenfarclass 60 and smoking Cubans. See, you are fighting for an ideology, an idea- it's not real, it's fantasy. You will fight for your own slavery. This has been going on since ancient Egypt. Wake Up Now

Michigan is pretty cool, but you're not supposed to tell outsiders, it's getting pretty full. It's a blend of the old and the new, the city and the country and loosely regulated industry besides beautiful preserved nature everywhere you go. Anywhere reasonably affordable is being overrun with brown people.
I lived there a couple years and miss it after moving away. I like Tennessee and Appalachia better, I would probably move there before going back to MI.

So, in your best fantasty nostalgia larp they still don't pay a liveable wage?

Nailed it. You will definitely notice the attitude problems if you're not an Ohioan or have been gone for a while. I temporarily came back and I IMMEDIATELY noticed the chip on everyone's shoulder, which I was somewhat blind to before - I mean I knew it was like that, but what I didn't realize was the contrast. Other places aren't like this. Ohioans are very hateful "people", but they never have righteous hate. They always hate good things.

What are the worst cities/towns in the midwest?

All of them. They're literally all the same. You can live in the Midwest your entire life and get totally disoriented in a town you've never been in because they literally all look the fucking same.

it is odd to see such amazing buildings decaying into nothing, surrounded by people who just don't care.

why did midwesterners give up and stop caring?

Most buildings in Ohio were never "amazing". The victorian homes are nice, but those were everywhere. Not just Ohio. And Ohioans never took care of any of them.

>why did midwesterners give up and stop caring?
I've explained this already. The Midwest was built on the lie of indutry and personal vehicle ownership. This is an insane top-heavy model for society and was bound to come crashing down. Ohioans were always simple, corrupt, greedy, but at least before, some of them were rich. Then it all went to shit as neoliberal tendencies had their cost cutting ways and all the behavior since is cope.
>>
Midwest is just a bunch of people in the middle of nowhere complaining about their lack of money. No ambition. No concept of stock markets. Not sure they are fully human.

Which fixes nothing.

Where in this country is the good place to live? If you don't have some sort of ideal, you'll just sound like you're a sourpuss.
