I wouldn't agree. The English sounds extremely unnatural--that's not how people speak! Remember, when working with entertainment, we're typically looking to create an equivalent experience in the target. If the JP was stilted, then stilted EN is good -- but it's not!

From what I've seen the English dub is being received pretty well. Some people (myself included) brought up the fast line reads but honestly besides that it just sounds good all around. Makes me think the bad typos/grammar/typesetting in general are what people are noticing most.
