I've been a Big fan of assassin's Creed games since the beginning. This latest game that has been announced I am not going to buy because I am getting sick and tired of this woke BS. they're trying to push on everybody. I know I'm not Japanese but I appreciate the history and the culture. These sort of mindsets have to stop.

It's getting crazy here in America sorry about the extreme leftist. If we wall worked together and quit all this weird bs and tried for a Startrek future the world would be better off. And if we quit nonsense like this.

I am with the Japanese market voting against games like this. It will take unity that is worldwide to stop these kinds of games from changing culture and history for the worse. No matter what country, we must stand against games that intend to reshape and destroy our cultures.

As a fan of Japanese history and culture, I agree with this petition. It is most important to respect the history and culture represented in any media using a historical narrative as a backdrop to its story. Not only in Japan but with any culture. Since video games reach such a large audience, anything short of factual representation is insensitive and disrespectful of that culture. Not to mention stereotypes and racism which should never be tolerated in a game.

Up until this joke, the games made sense for setting and characters, yes there was once a black servant to a samurai, no he was not a samurai, this is well documented, they could have easily made him a primary quest giver and kept him relevant but they decided to go full woke and make this giant turd, and then everyone is gay too? Not in fuedal Japan they weren't. Thank God Ghost of Tsushima was a masterpiece. Cuz this is trash.

As a US Mariune who was stationed in Okinawa, and as a customer of Ubisoft who has purchased every Assasins Creed game so far, I am deeply offended by this proposed game. I will not be purchasing it and I call on Ubisoft to respect the history and traditions of Japan as well as the gaming community and the precedents set by the rest of the games in thi series..

As a Samurai decedent, I am against insulting the Buke (samurai) class lives. The most reliable source is the Nanban folding screen depiction, which shows that the Nanban missionaries brought them as enslaved people. However, even though Oda Nobunaga received these enslaved Black people from the missionaries, no document says he made them samurai, and there is only a description that he took them around as a spectacle.

Ridiculous that they would try and subvert Japanese history and culture with the future purpose of justifying immigration of Africans and other non-natives into their society.

As a descendent of the Samurai, my direct ancestor is the year of the 1159 Kamakura shogunate. These are the facts: The most reliable source is the Nanban folding screen depiction, which shows that the Nanban missionaries brought them as enslaved people. However, even though Oda Nobunaga received these enslaved Black people from the missionaries, no document says he made them samurai, and there is only a description that he took them around as a spectacle.

This is blatant racial washing of Japanese history and culture, with the most severe arrogance and haughtiness imaginable. Ubisoft and the developers are clearly non-apologetic about any of it and believe that those who disagree with them are guilty of their own sins. The ignorance and pride at play here are disgusting, and Japan does not deserve this treatment. It would be a disservice to the world to release this historically bastardized perspective, as many play these games with the understan...

I believe it's wrong to change history to fulfill a DEI quota. Many of us have always wanted to see a beautiful Japan in Assassin's Creed. The Samurai depicted are theirs and only theirs #NotOurSamurai I'm deeply aghast because this game seems like a rip-off of Ghost of Tsushima. I advise everyone to sign this petition. The audacity they have to call this a Samurai game set in Japan its basically a big black guy killing Japanese people with hip hop music what a disgrace. What a shameful display

It's about respecting the culture and real history. Ubisoft have created a controversy that's completely unnecessary. If real people are to be used as characters, then Japan has no shortage of actual Japanese samurai to choose from. This is such a a huge mistake for Ubisoft to make.

Actively trying to revise history with a flase narrative, its gotten so bad the wiki pages are being locked WITH FALSE INFORMATION on them as 'fact'. Compared to past Assassin's Creed games, Shadows is awful. Historical inaccuracies in set design, clothing, behaviors. Character liberties being taken to a point that actively contradicts real history. Changing the historical narrative to make it seem like Japanese people were hacking heads off on every corner like some kind of wild west of decapit...

As an Asian American, I'm sick and disgusted that the very first AC game set within an Asian country does not actually have a Male Japanese to represent them. The female alone is not enough, since she was made a "female" on purpose to promote Ubisofts Woke agenda, and by including a Black individual over a Japanese Male is an absolute insult to the Japanese culture, the Sengoku period in which this takes place, it's history, it's heritage, but most of all, the Japanese people. Not only that, b...

Like most Americans, I come from mixed ancestry and am proud to count the Japanese among them, both directly and by the marriage of uncles and cousins to truly incredible women from that isle. Though less educated in the subject of Nippon than others, I know enough to detect tokenism and a DEI-driven agenda when I see it: despite the uproar of a certain vocal sect of society, no one believes for a moment that Nobunaga's "exotic" pet was ever a samurai, much less that a black man should be used t...

It feels like the company is not respecting Japanese people and the culture as they should be. Using yasuke as a “samurai” main character for this “historically accurate” game is not right at all. Why couldn’t it be Hattori Hanzo or his sons? Or it could’ve been any Japanese ninja/samurai for that matter. Specifically choosing a foreign person existed in the Japanese history, who was not a samurai to be in the game as a samurai just seems like a shallow attempt at political correctness, which no...

As an American who writes Japanese style comics, I am appalled at Ubisoft’s flagrant disregard for Japanese history and culture. It should be considered a giant red flag that the very people they are claiming to represent are protesting this game. Ubisoft has shown itself to be incredibly hypocritical; they want diversity, but then don’t implement it when it actually matters.
