Further to this, the Club is cognisant of how overoptimised and ossified the many iterations of its foundational document has become. Find below a proposed simplification of all of these which may satisfy the sensibilities of those from the Club’s past, its present, and its future.
“1) Under an appropriate agreement with any relevant motorsport-respecting body, group and/or organisation, University of Auckland Motorsport Club Members shall endeavour toward:
Competence
Teamwork
Good character
2) Members who have demonstrated the qualities above as per Motorsport Club Grand Prix format shall have the privilege of imparting their skills and knowledge to the remainder of membership in being gifted honorary leadership roles as required by agreements with parties external to the Club.
3) Members bestowed with honorary leadership roles must conduct themselves in accordance with the relevant policies and frameworks which the Club operates under – including but not limited to:
Value-added initiatives comparable to those conducted by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (F.I.A.), Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (F.I.M.), and other (inter)regional motoring and/or transport-themed organisations’ corresponding initiatives that align with those already stated;
Relevant local and/or international Legislation. “
