Origin of the Company Name

It goes back about 40 years from now.

When our founder, Igawa, was working as a TV director, he interviewed a village in Africa that had become synonymous with hunger and poverty. The land is fertile, so why is everyone starving? If you have the know-how to grow crops, you can solve it, so why can't you? The day before I left the village where I was staying, less than 50 kilometers away, there was fertile land with well-developed waterways and lush crops. However, it did not reach the poor village ... and was subject to concessions.

This reality completely changed Igawa's belief that raising the issue of the devastation of this village to people around the world through the media as a documentarist would eventually save the people of the village. "If there are people who live there, I want to reach out to them." Indirectly, or directly, do the things that are taken for granted as human beings? As I thought about it, I could see the limits of being a documentarist.

I stayed there for only about two weeks, but when I was about to leave, the children hugged me while crying. When I got into the location car with the feeling that all the staff would be pulled back, I was keenly aware of my helplessness. What I can do to help these children is not to ask the media, but to build rivers, create waterways, and provide know-how to grow crops.

The company name of Creek and River was named from this strong feeling.

If people are in trouble, I want to move directly from what I can do. As Creek and River's business activities grow on a global scale, the concept becomes a powerful force and continues to live on in people's hearts. The name of the company reflects our desire to create smiles not only in Japan, but around the world. view all
