Josh Strauss knows what it takes to not only compete with but defeat — and in one spectacular case, utterly demolish — Munster on Irish soil.

The former Glasgow Warriors captain has also experienced what an irresistible force the red tide can become when team and crowd unite as one at Thomond Park.

In the course of an entertaining wander down Munster memory lane, Strauss offers tales both inspirational and cautionary for his Scotstoun successors as they travel to face Graham Rowntree’s defending champions in the URC semi-finals on Saturday evening.
