Type of Character

Sub-boss

Status

Alive

Appearance

The only remaining female Teal Pikmin, her body features the same crystalline growths as Theta's. Sapphire wears an ice blue ao dai, with slits cut in it to accommodate her body crystals. Her weapons are a pair of crystalline, triple-spiked gauntlets. As a Mark II, she has a spiked, teal orb at the end of her stalk.

Sapphire suffers from a debilitating illness, giving her a gaunt look. This has receded somewhat in recent days.

Powers

Command over ice, though not to Theta's extent. Sapphire can also disperse her entire body into ice crystals, making it easy for her to move around. She may repair damage to her body by condensing water into ice, or simply using nearby ice, but her damage threshold is nowhere near Theta's.

Weaknesses

Fire and extreme heat. Blunt force damage is rather effective against her; ice is rather brittle. In addition, she's weakened by a debilitating illness that causes her to descend into hacking coughs, and occasionally spit up blood.

Resistances

Extreme cold, naturally.

Immunities

Ice.

Personality

Sapphire has a warm, inviting personally compared to Theta's... well, lack of a personality. This is in comparison, though; Sapphire still usually keeps to herself, but is much more likely to open up to people, and she's trying to get Theta to do the same, with... limited success. Nevertheless, Theta will open up to her, if no one else.

History

Awakened from a lab buried under the ice, met and attacked Theta, and promptly got her ass kicked as Theta refused to let someone else have his name. Seeing as she's a Teal Pikmin, though, Theta could not bring himself to finish her off and instead told her to change her name, then left. She followed him, attempting to best him to prove the superiority of the Mark II's, but Theta is part Ice Seraphim and she... well, isn't.

After Omega Mark II's defeat, she started the trend of the Mark II's adopting alternate names to distinguish themselves from their Mark I's.

She came down with a severe illness some time ago. Theta consigned her to the elemental temple within Gloomy Glacier to give her some space to recover. She's not been overly receptive of the idea.
