No Guide showed up at the meeting point. 16 People have waited for 30 minutes more than time for meeting was shown on the ticket. We gave up. The phone on the number given was not picked up at all. Now we can waste our time to get the refund. At least abig cheat.

Disappointing tour and one to avoid. The guide, who seemingly had all the charisma and personality of a wet paper towel, went to great lengths to regularly ditch the group and walk off in front, without bothering to check whether everyone was keeping up. On this tour we were taken to fantastic locations, such as a bridge from a film that only 1/12 people in the group had seen or the litter bins on the street - some truly wonderful Kodak moments which our family and friends have questioned why they are in our camera roll.
If you are keen to learn anything about Kyoto’s culture or history, don’t bother with this tour as it is a glorified walk taking photographs at night. You can get into the Gion District yourself for free and will be able to do the same thing.
If you are someone who enjoys inflicting pain on yourself, by all means book this tour and ask many questions. The guide will get very defensive if you try to ask anything he doesn’t know and clearly has some self-esteem issues since he was reading the Get Your Guide reviews during the tour.

Beautiful and informative tour at night. Our knowledgeable guide gave us dress circle seats to the real culture of Japan away from the major tourist traps and crowds. Warning lots of fast walking but it means you see so much!
