Nine Inch Nails presents Ghosts I - IV, a brand new 36 track instrumental collection available right now. Almost two hours of new music composed and recorded over an intense ten week period last fall, Ghosts I - IV sprawls Nine Inch Nails across a variety of new terrain.
Trent Reznor explains, "I've been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn't have made sense until this point. This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective - dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I'm very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts."

Notes: this is a downsampled version of Ghosts, taken originally from the Blu-Ray release. The Blu-Ray release can be found in the usual places commercially, and also here:

There is no lineage information for the Blu Ray release above, unfortunately, although the embedded tags hint that it was a lossless translation, and the embedded album art is at 1080P quality. This release takes those FLAC files and downsamples them to 24/48, the highest quality supported by Apple's various i-devices (iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc.). This release is in i-device-compatible Apple Lossless format (ALAC).

In July, 2008, Nine Inch Nails released their album "The Slip" for free, via a CC-BY-NC-SA license. The album was released in multiple formats. The highest-quality version was 24bit samples, 96khz. This is a downsampling of that version to 24/48, which is the highest quality that Apple iDevices (iPods, iPhones, etc.) can play. The files are encoded in iTunes-compatible ALAC. The 24/96 FLAC source for this release is available here:...

This is the highest-quality version: 24bit samples, 96khz, encoded using FLAC. Artwork included. Note that there's a mistake in the FLAC release artwork as distributed by NIN: 02-1000000.jpg is mistakenly a Photoshop source file. For this release, I have renamed it to .PSB and generated a new 02-1000000.jpg from the source (JPEG at quality...

Nine Inch Nails--The Forum,London,England, May 26, 1994 soundboard One thing about wading through boxes of tapes, you sometimes find things that you have no idea where they came from. Case in point, this NIN tape. Pretty sure it wasn't a trade, as my handwriting is on the card, and I know damn well I didn't tape it. Must have just dubbed it off a friend, and it certainly doesn't appear to be CD sourced--"The Only Time" was split over the 2 sides, something I would never do! I...
