Restriction of the right to access information in Europe as a factor in the crisis of European democratic institutions
My speech (online, everyone had 5 minutes) today at a conference, about press freedom in Europe in particular, for members of the OSCE at their headquarters in the Hofburg, Vienna, Austria. In my opinion, the great escalation started during the Covid-19 pandemic and has now reached its peak, which started with declarations of war, of course unofficially, from Europe to Russia, over the Special Military Operation. With the EU's new DSA and ETIAS law, this is about Digital Service (Ac) the ETIAS travel system, not everyone is allowed to enter Europe anymore, even EU citizens with an EU passport can be refused, for example, because they have been to the Donbass, which Europe calls annexed/occupied territory of Russia. The DSA Act limits freedom of the press and expression, not everything may be published, anything that goes against political views is prohibited. A reverse situation is happening, a digital and physical wall, just like during the cold war, let's hope it doesn't get 'hot'.
