<Chi>

The battle between time travelers had managed to spill its way across the city, verging towards Eos Tower. When Kazul and Barrack emerged from the tower and saw the three of them, they wisely decided not to get involved. That was just all kinds of nope.

For being vulnerable now, Aeonus was still proving difficult to land any hits on. Nevertheless, he was clearly bleeding. Chi had picked up a few more serious scrapes than his counterpart, but Libra remained largely untouched, or at least had healed through most of the damage shi'd received.

"I think we can both see how this is going to end, Aeonus. Why are you so insistent?" Chi prodded during a momentary lull in the fight, then sidestepped a large sword going through where his head had been as Aeonus pulled it through time.

"Because I need to do this. Neither of you understand what's at stake here. You can't understand. Besides, time is on my side here," the Infinite replied, sweeping a large wave of the Sands of Time in Libra's direction. Chi stepped in to block the attack, being immune to the Sands' effects. Aeonus's words echoed through his head, though. Without intervention, Mithril would kill Epsilon. So how could time be on his side?

Chi got his answer a second later when an ominous pulse echoed from beneath them, deep within the city. Within...

Chi's eyes widened as Aeonus's mouth split in a shark-like grin. "You didn't," Chi whispered.

"I did," Aeonus replied, before they were abruptly surrounded by Infinites. "The future is at stake here. I will do anything I need to to ensure that events go the way I've planned. You didn't think I'd hinged everything on just one event, did you?"

"What is he talking about?" Libra interjected, glancing between the two of them as Chi's face warped into one of fury.

"He pointed Black Scythe to the Path of Time!"

<Epsilon>

Still no sign of the crazy metal 'min... good to know. According to Barrack, Ark had her attention for the moment, enough for Epsilon to catch his breath.

"Phase?" Epsilon muttered, enough to bring the ethereal Black Pikmin into view.

"Boss?"

"You need to keep that crazy b**** off me for a bit. This form takes time to set up," Epsilon told him shortly as Pandora began to split and unfold. "If I can get this up and running, she's toast."

"Understood," Phase replied before vanishing once more, leaving Epsilon alone. The Warboss of the Stealth Squad took a look at Pandora as it began to unfold into its penultimate form.

<]-Mithril-[>

This was incredibly annoying. How many of these bozos were going to interfere before Mithril finally seized the opportunity to annihilate Epsilon? Far too many. With that in mind, Mithril silently called for backup. Let's get this over with.

Onto the matter at hand, the current Warboss who is attempting to stop her. And once again, another one of these bozos will get a high dose of disappointment. And exploding fire electric motorcycle projectiles. Alas, this initial attack wasn't enough to force Ark'thugal out of the way, who responded with bolts of ice, blood, and unholy.

Electric laser sharks. Fire rocket exploding axes. More ice, more blood, more unholy in response. After a few exchanges of attacks, and several more attempts by Mithril to resume pursuing Epsilon, it was clear that Ark'thugal's Death Grip had an extremely long range, and attempting to outrange it was proving to be very annoying.

Strangely, Epsilon hadn't taken any shots at Mithril while all of this was occurring. Of course, Eranikus took up the slack, taking potshots at her while she was busy with Ark'thugal.

After evading another of Ark'thugal's axe swings, Mithril seemingly made another attempt at zooming around Ark'thugal, before she abruptly changed directions-

"Platinum Pain," Mithril hissed, slamming her exploding shockwave rocket platinum beam fist into Ark'thugal, while Adaptrix, suddenly appearing beside Mithril, slammed his ion cannon-powered fist into the Warboss. That caused Ark'thugal to move aside. And by move aside I mean being hurtled backwards at high speed.

Adaptrix rushed towards Ark'thugal while blasting away in his direction with plasma weaponry in order to keep him busy. Eranikus descended upon Mithril and attempted to use his breath attack again.

Getting that close to Mithril was a really bad idea.

"Metal Reaper," Mithril growled, jamming a massive scythe blade straight through the mouth of the undead Eranikus, impaling him in the skull, before moving her scythe arm forward in a massive swing, taking out Eranikus's neck. The brutal slash did not stop there, the attack rushing towards Epsilon's location... or it would have, had Phase not slammed into Mithril suddenly, forcing her attack off-course.

Phase very dearly paid for that. Mithril grabbed the Black Pikmin by the head, squeezing the unfortunate min's skull.

"Did you really think I wouldn't know when someone's trying to set up a charged attack?" Mithril said, laughing. "Especially since I've been setting one up of my own."

"METAL KAISER," boomed Mithril's voice, as she slammed her Metal Gate enhanced fist down, slamming the city itself. Ludibrium screamed unnaturally as all across the city, spots where Mithril had attacked previously during her pursuit of Epsilon suddenly lit up with power, Mithril's latest attack acting as a focal point for one massive, city-shaking attack.

One that would even reach Black Scythe.

If Aeonus thought it would be as easy as pointing Black Scythe to the Path of Time, he would be sorely mistaken.

Black Scythe

The Supreme Warboss didn't even notice the city shake; the area he was in wasn't technically a part of the city, so the vibrations didn't transmit. What he did notice was the massive attack that snaked through the passages he'd come through, lanced through the doorway, and then plummeted down the massive drop that had come after the archway straight for him.

His response to it was as understated as it was effective: he raised his left hand up to it and opened his palm. An ethereal, seven petaled flower appeared in front of his hand, and in front of that, seven circular walls sprung forth, all in a row. When the beam slammed into it, it broke the first layer almost immediately. The second layer took several more seconds to s***ter, with the third taking even longer. The fourth, however, only cracked before the attack's energy dissipated.

"Hmph. Only three? Impressive... but not impressive enough," Black Scythe sneered, paying it no further mind as he looked from side to side. The path branched here, according to the Infinite One. The Path of Warped Time, and the Path of Forgotten Time. Both would ultimately lead to the same place. Forgotten Time, then. As he passed through the archway, he tapped his scythe along the floor a few times, cracks branching out from the points of impact and wrapping around the entirety of the entryway. Anyone who tried to follow through this route would regret it.
________
<Epsilon>

Epsilon counted himself fortunate; the brunt of the attack had missed him, and though he'd taken a nasty hit in the process, it was nothing that would kill him. Barrack's psionic link told him that the city, and their forces, had taken a heavy hit as well, though the Warbosses all seemed to be in good shape. Trombe in particular hadn't even seemed to notice. Crazy bastard.

Sensing her attack hadn't done the job, Mithril wound up for another shot at Epsilon's location... only to take another distracting hit from Phase. She rounded on him to grab his head again.

"Didn't I just kill you?!" she growled as she squeezed, until Phase abruptly vanished from her hand. A few seconds later he appeared again, several yards away.

"I'm not that easy to kill," Phase replied, vanishing once more as a small swarm of metal bits flew through where he'd been standing. Not from Mithril, though; these were coming from the opposite direction. The tiny metal slivers arranged themselves around Mithril, and then promptly unloaded a barrage of lasers.

"So... let's see if you can handle this then," Epsilon snarled as he stepped out from the shadows, clad in some kind of full-body mech suit with Pandora's emblem sitting clear on his chest. Slivers of the suit came free as the ones around Mithril returned to him and clicked back into place. Those slivers aligned in front of him to fend off Mithril's first attack, deflecting it to the side and then vaporizing it once it landed.

"Pandora Form 665: Fear. Come on, then."

<]-Mithril-[>

Fear? Mithril scoffed. How utterly appropriate... for Epsilon. The Warboss would soon be a dead man, his mech suit smashed, his body obliterated, his life annihilated. And right before his death, Epsilon would know fear.

The terror of Mithril's power!

A tangible wave of power emitting from Mithril was the only warning Epsilon got before Mithril charged at him full speed, the metal 'min growing several spiky, murderous limbs all while screaming like a maniac. Wisely, Epsilon darted the hell out of the way, using pieces of the suit to create boosters for movement, while using more pieces of Pandora to snipe at Mithril with lasers.

Unfortunately, Mithril grew rockets of her own and began emitting metal pieces of of her own. Only her metal bits were the fire electric laser exploding kind. She also began firing electric fire exploding laser screams.

Even more unfortunately, Mithril was really damn fast. And it wasn't too long before Mithril caught up with Epsilon, though she took quite a bit of lasers in the process. Epsilon began using his metal bits as a storm of small blades, sending them towards Mithril to cut her. Mithril retaliated with an "Iron Star!", blasting away Epsilon's metal bits temporarily.

Abruptly, Mithril set herself on fire and electricity right before she was upon Epsilon. That seemed to catch an attacking Phase, landing several burns on him and causing him to phase out to avoid further damage. Mithril pressed forward with her attack.

"Titanium Twister!" Mithril yelled, slamming a powerful rocket-propelled drill into Epsilon. The Warboss immediately sent lots and lots of metal bits at Mithril to fend her off, as well as immediately darting to the side to limit the amount of damage Mithril's attack was doing.

However, Mithril followed up with a "Silver Star Sweep!", a vicious, spiked sweeping leg kick that caused a shockwave fire electric explosion upon impact, sending Epsilon hurtling back.

The Warboss was more than fine with the distance created however, and he sent more metal bits to blast away at Mithril in an attempt to further the distance between them.

Mithril continued her rampage. The power provided by Epsilon's Pandora Fear form was indeed impressive, as it did quite a bit of damage even to Metal Gate Mithril. However, Epsilon would soon understand...

Gaze upon the metal reaper, and know fear. Know despair. Know death.

?-Orvtre-?

Libra told the news to Orvtre. Black Scythe was on the Path of Time, and he needed to be stopped. Mithril's Metal Kaiser had killed a lot of Black Pikmin, enough for a few Hero Squad members to pull away from the brawl to pursue Black Scythe and stop him.

Orvtre made a call to all Hero Squad members, informing them of the situation. Those who were occupied by fighting the Warbosses, such as Rune, Bloodriver, and Zeta, were too busy to break away from their fights.

However, Orvtre was indeed accompanied by four other Hero Squad members: Broxigar, Grav, Sigma, and Sapphire. Together, the five of them went down to the Path of Time.

At the Path of Forgotten Time...

It would not be long now, Black Scythe mused, before he finally got what he wanted here. Aeonus showing him the way proved to be a useful convenience. Would it really be so easy? So... boring?

A sudden explosion answered that question, as Orvtre, Broxigar, Grav, Sigma, and Sapphire appeared in front of Black Scythe, blocking the path in front of the Supreme Warboss.

Perhaps this would be entertaining after all...
Black Scythe

Though to lower half of his face was largely hidden by the metal jaw, a shark-like grin could be seen stretching over the Supreme Warboss's face. A shudder of anticipation ran through his body. This... perhaps this could prove to be some kind of challenge.

"So how did you ragtag lot get ahead of me, I wonder...?" Black Scythe rumbled as he shifted his feet apart, bringing his massive armblade to bear.

"The Path of Warped Time and Path of Forgotten Time are interconnected," Sigma spoke up, not a trace of hesitation in his voice. "All we needed was for Chi to show us the way. This is his territory, after all."

The massive Black Pikmin let out a hiss of mild annoyance. Should have blocked both entrances, then. No matter; a bit of fun before he claimed his prize was welcome, after all.

"Wind Scar," he growled, swinging his namesake blade and kicking up a massive, bladed wind that roared towards the group opposite him, causing them to scatter as it tore up the walkways making up the Path.

"Not much for talk, is he?" Broxigar shouted as he hurled his axe towards the Supreme Warboss, who merely swatted it away like it were a feather, sending it whirling back towards its owner. Broxigar caught the axe and was swung away by its momentum as the debris from Black Scythe's attack lifted up and launched towards him at high speed, but he simply swung his right tail at the incoming projectiles, s***tering each one into pieces as they approached. Before the pieces could even fall to the floor, a translucent blue sphere appeared around Black Scythe, halting all of the debris in place until he thrust his hand forward, launching all the bits directly toward Grav. Orvtre stepped in to blast the debris away with a massive burst of lava as Sapphire and Sigma closed in to melee range.

"Unwise," was all the Supreme Warboss said as he swung his left arm around, nearly slicing Sapphire in half with his claws before socking her in the stomach with his right tail. His left one came around to parry Sigma, the edge of his tailblade vibrating audibly against Sigma's energy blades. As he pushed the Platinum Pikmin away, Sapphire called out.

"Got some of your energy~" she said, followed by unleashing a massive burst of frost from one of her hands, layering ice over Black Scythe in a few seconds. A casual movement was enough to free him completely, and then Sapphire had to rapidly retreat as the Black Pikmin leader spewed a gout of black flame in her direction.

'How many abilities does he have...?' Orvtre wondered, noting that the excited grin hadn't moved from Black Scythe's face. How long could they hold out against... this?

<Epsilon>

Most snipers would have panicked under these kinds of conditions, being forced into a close quarters fight.

Epsilon wasn't most snipers. Keeping a calm head was the most important thing to do.

The first thing he identified was that Mithril would not be stopped by merely dumping shots into her. It would vaporize some of her material, but it didn't seem to cause any appreciable damage.

'Find a weak point. Something that'll cause damage,' he thought, 'She's an elemental, she has to have a core somewhere.'

665 had enough bits that he could easily riddle his opponent with shots, searching for the core, so he set about doing that, keeping most of them close to himself while sending a few around behind her to take potshots from oblique angles. It still wasn't easy, with how high-powered her attacks were. Any given one could end his life with a direct hit, so it was a matter of making sure none of them were direct.

"Cobalt Crusher!" Mithril roared, swinging a massive, blue, rocket propelled hammer in his direction. He didn't bother moving, instead using his bits to slice off the arm the hammer was connected to, sending the rest of it careening off course and through a building, where a swarm of bits proceeded to blast it to dust. She was fond of collection-type bombardment attacks; he'd leave her nothing to collect.

"Dolomite Drill!" she continued, pulling up another huge drill and launching herself at him with it. Epsilon responded by launching a few dozen bits at it, applying them in precise positions before firing with full power. Just before the drill struck him, it shredded itself apart with its own momentum, the structural integrity lost to his assault. That left him with an opening to fire a massive blast directly into Mithril's head, vaporizing it entirely. Still not enough to stop her, apparently, so he fired a volley of suppressive fire to cover himself and gain some space.

"Beryllium Buster!" echoed from entirely too close behind him, and he just barely got a wall of bits up in time to stave off the worst of Mithril's surprise attack. Right, clones. As soon as the attack struck his bits, he fired off a full salvo, blowing a massive, steaming hole through anything in its path, including part of the clone that had struck him from behind.

"Osmium Obliterator!" came from above him. Osmium, extremely dense metal. For this one, he formed his bits into a pair of thrusters and shot himself out of the way of the massive strike that shook the structure of the city, the shockwave enough to push him back even further. It wasn't enough to stop him from throwing a small bomb at the massive sphere of osmium Mithril had just tried to drop on him, though.

The bomb burst into a thick, green liquid as it hit the sphere, and then a most curious thing happened, the sphere suddenly glowing as it heated up to melting point in an instant. A figure shot out of the rapidly distorting orb of metal, Mithril retreating before the heat could get to her as well. So, it had been wise to pack those Spirium bombs...

?-Orvtre-?

The initial barrage hadn't gone over too well; Black Scythe hadn't been bothered by what Hero Squad had brought against him thus far. Unfortunately, Upsilon was busy fending off the Black Pikmin Boyz, so fusing with Upsilon and using the Electric Gate supermode was not really an option here. Furthermore, the Supreme Warboss had already defeated another electric person previously, with said electric person being a demigod.

Black Gate wasn't an option either; Black Scythe took next to no damage from darkness.

Broxigar's Blood Flare and Grav's Fiend weren't controllable enough to be good options; they carried the risk of doing more harm than good in this situation.

Decent looking initial option: Have Sigma cut up Black Scythe at long range with his monomolecular energy blades while Orvtre and the others played a support role. Orvtre in particular can buff the other Hero Squad members; this will probably prove pivotal in this fight.

Here. We. Go.

After shi began dual wielding the Prism Cannon and Gurgurant, Orvtre immediately made a lot of clones and then launched a lot of lava and lasers at Black Scythe. The Supreme Warboss countered by swiping his scythe blade again, with this slash being a darkness one. That took out more of Orvtre's clones than shi was comfortable with; Orvtre nonetheless continued to produce more clones to try to keep some semblance of pressure on Black Scythe.

Orvtre began to buff hir teammates. Broxigar and Grav used a combination attack; with the Bloodseed throwing his axe at the Supreme Warboss again while Grav increased its mass and used gravity to make the thrown axe more dangerous. Sapphire hurled more ice Black Scythe's way, while Sigma attempted to use this opportunity to spam long range energy blades to try and cut up Black Scythe.
________
!-Libra-!

This was a rather awkward position. Libra and Chi wanted to neutralize Aeonus as quickly as possible so that they could go ahead and stop Black Scythe from getting whatever he was after in the Path of Time. However, Aeonus and his swarm of Infinites was not making it easy; they were now clearly stalling to prevent Libra and Chi from helping the other Hero Squad members in repelling Black Scythe.

Throwing up some walls of sand, Aeonus blocked some rays of light that Libra hurled his way. Aeonus and several of the Infinites attempted to break the Hourglass of Time again, but with one massive barrage from Libra, countless Infinites were shot down. Aeonus kept the barrage from hitting him via the use of sand, but Chi burst through the sand wall and brought an energy mace down upon the Infinite Spawn.

NyteLurker 6 years ago#188
Aeonus countered by parrying with an energy blade of his own. Chi pulled more blades and spiky stuff through time to try and stab at Aeonus, but the Infinite Spawn replied by dodging aside while pulling some shooty guns through time to shoot at the other time travelers. Chi acquired some guns of his own, firing away at his counterpart with loud energy blasters, while Aeonus pulled through some shields to block the incoming fire.

And that was when Chi pulled a huge jetpack through time. Strapping it onto himself, Chi then made a rocketing kick at Aeonus, who took one of the shields he had generated to block it and fend off the worst of the blow. However, the blow itself forced Aeonus back... right into the path of Libra.

"Star Rend!" Libra roared, delivering a vicious kick infused with shining power. Aeonus hastily put up a wall of sand at the last moment, but the attack still did quite a lot of damage, causing the Infinite Spawn to hiss in pain. Aeonus growled and fired off a huge temporal blast in retaliation, to put some distance between them.

Aeonus and the Infinites made a renewed attempt to break the hourglass in an attempt to put Libra and Chi on the defensive, and to stall for more time. Will the other Hero Squad members be able to hold out against Black Scythe?

<]-Mithril-[>

Shockwaves and explosions rang throughout the area where Mithril was chasing Epsilon, the metal 'min relentlessly hounding the Warboss in an attempt to land a lethal blow on him. Adding fire, electricity, explosions, and shockwaves to her attacks meant that even though Mithril's blows hadn't landed a direct hit yet, the indirect damage dealt to Epsilon would wear him down.

That said, time was of the essence, and Mithril wanted to kill Epsilon as soon as possible; Black Scythe was currently on the Path of Time and had to be stopped; the sooner Mithril killed Epsilon, the sooner she can go down there to help fend off the Supreme Warboss.

Epsilon was busy trying to search for a vulnerability, however he was under a false impression. There was one important factor in this fight that he couldn't have ever known:

Mithril was never a normal elemental.

Epsilon's attempt to search for a weak point was recognized by Mithril; it would make sense for the Warboss so used to eliminating enemies via headshots to search for a similar weakness while fighting Mithril. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt to take advantage of this... let him think he's found a weakness.

"Iron Impact! Bronze Baron!" Mithril screamed, rushing at Epsilon. The Warboss was, as always, attempting to snipe at Mithril with lasers while dodging aside. This time however, Phase showed up again and shoved Mithril, barely knocking her off-course and postponing Epsilon's demise.

One of the lasers shooting Mithril was now hitting a different spot because of the unexpected shove. And then a loud crack resounded.

Mithril hissed, generating an omnidirectional flurry of exploding spikes while shifting herself around. Confirming her suspicions that he had been searching for a weak point, Epsilon attempted to shoot that same point again multiple times, only to realize that Mithril had moved the "weak point" elsewhere.

"Did you think it would be that easy?" Mithril roared, suddenly generating half a dozen clones and attacking with even more ferocity. The fact that Mithril was now utilizing clones further meant that Epsilon had to divide his efforts even more, both in attacking and in evading incoming blows.

"Platinum Piston!" "Rust Buster!" "Chrome Cleaver!" yelled the Mithrils, as the ones that made it past Epsilon's full salvo bore down on him with even more force.
(edited 6 years ago)
<Epsilon>

Multiple targets at varying ranges, all closing in. Horrible, horrible situation to be in. Nevertheless, Epsilon remained calm, releasing as many bits as he was comfortable with and turning himself into a spin to unleash a massive, omnidirectional barrage of laser fire. It was enough to take down a few of the clones, but not all of them. With his remaining bits he pulled together a laser grid around himself and braced for the impact of her attacks.

The first glanced off his laser grid, but the second punched through and skimmed past him, sending him whirling end over end across the street. A third clone immediately redirected to strike at him while he was off balanced, but Phase clipped it with a quick strike, distracting it long enough for Epsilon to right himself and blast it away. He then took a massive backstep as yet another clone dropped onto his location with an attack that s***tered the street, kicking up rubble in all directions.

"Just stand still and die already!" Mithril roared, creating and then hurling a massive barrage of blades in his direction. Epsilon didn't bother with a response, merely blasting each of the blades out of the air before renewing his attack on Mithril. A whisper from Phase was all he needed to know to fire a massive beam behind him, taking out the clone that had been charging an attack there. The next clone didn't bother and instead rushed in with a smaller attack.

"Platinum Pain!" the clone yelling, thrusting a sparkling fist at him. Epsilon threw up a wall of bits to block the attack, then fired blasting the clone away even as Mithril threw more attacks at him, forcing him to give ground, sweat dripping off him as he went.

'Where the hell is my backup? I'm not built for this close range s***!'

|||Barrack|||

Eos tower, unfortunately, did not have an elevator like Helios did. Rather, it had a number of teleport stones spread throughout its one hundred floors.

Unfortunately for the the Fist of Zeromus, access to use the stones wasn't something they had. The defenders did.

Unfortunately for the defenders, this was the Fist of Zeromus attacking them. Between the forces already in the city and the sheer power they were bringing to bear here, they didn't have a prayer of stopping them. The only real issue for the Black Pikmin was the climb.

Barrack had taken whoever he could ahead by using his own powers to teleport, but even he couldn't bring everyone. The rest would need to make their own way up. His group had, however, included Kazul.

"Sounds like Epsilon's in a spot of trouble. Kazul, back him up. I'm going to-"

"You'll go nowhere," a static backed voice cut him off. Barrack teleported out of the way as a massive bolt of lightning struck the spot where he'd been standing, his fellow Warboss turning towards the source. Dusk strode towards them, white lightning coiling all around him and his twin blades.

"This git. Didn't the boss take your sorry ass down once?" Kazul growled at him, the spikes along his arms raising up threateningly.

"Indeed. I've failed once... I will not fail again!" Dusk replied, firing another beam of lightning at them.

<]-Mithril-[>

Mithril could feel it. Epsilon's demise drew closer, ever closer. Each punch, each kick, each stab, each slash all drew the curtain ever closer. For every clone Epsilon shot down, two more seemed to take its place. For every attack Epsilon blocked or evaded, two more were initiated as a followup.

Epsilon was trickling blood at this point, dripping from many cuts. Even though he had managed to avoid any direct hits, even indirect ones took their toll. Sweat, blood, and misery. Exhaustion began creeping up, an envoy of the end. Epsilon was getting tired. While Mithril just. Kept. Coming.

Soon, oh so soon, the Fist of Zeromus will suffer their first Warboss fatality.

"Platinum Laser Crasher!" Mithril roared, as she and her clones began firing laser-spewing trucks that fired laser-spewing motorcycles. Epsilon fired the vehicles out of the air with a full barrage, but as the vehicles exploded, clones rushed out of the smoke, glowing ominously.

"GLACIERERASER! roared the superheated clones, unleashing hell with fiery punches and kicks. Epsilon shot down the clones with massive beams, but Mithril's clones Just. Kept. Coming. Even worse, Mithril had began to spam charged attacks with a few of the clones as well, forcing Epsilon to put up even more offensive pressure to stop her.

"Rust Wrecker!" yelled a clone, who swung a rust-colored wrecking ball at Epsilon. The Warboss, much like with the Cobalt Crusher, cut off the chain the ball was connected to. Unlike with the Cobalt Crusher, Epsilon was too busy with all the clones to destroy the ball itself at the moment. There were more pressing matters at the moment, such as...

"Silver Star Slasher!" shouted another clone, as it unleashed a brutal storm of fiery, bladed slashes. Epsilon changed some of his bits into some boosters to avoid the barrage of slashes, before spinning to fire a storm of massive beams at the clones. He missed one coming from above.

"Burning Elbow Drop!" screamed yet another clone, who plummeted down towards Epsilon's location at high speed. Epsilon was forced to use his thrusters to dodge back... right into a wad of liquid metal at his feet. Mithril's Metal Kaiser hadn't used all her metal scattered across the city...

"Iron Maiden," whispered Mithril, as she utilized that leftover metal for an instant charged attack. Epsilon was forced to destroy the attack with a full barrage, but that small delay was enough for the Mithrils to swarm towards the Warboss.

Gaze upon the metal reaper...

Phase attempted to intervene, but one of the clones kicked the leftover wrecking ball at him, forcing him out of the way. There would be no interruptions this time.

Epsilon blasted away at the clones, but Mithril herself burst out of the pack and grabbed hold of Epsilon's left leg, his saronite prosthetic.

... and know fear.

"Alloy Amputator!" Mithril roared, crushing Epsilon's saronite prosthetic and ripping it off of his body, a mess of blood erupting from where the prosthetic had once been connected. Epsilon, who was now bleeding profusely from where his left leg once was, fired off a huge barrage at Mithril in a desperate attempt to repel her, while simultaneously rocketing back with his boosters.

As she casually annihilated what remained of Epsilon's saronite prosthetic, Mithril's face morphed into a toothy, shark-like grin.

No more running.
