All of the Kids choice award shows are lost, I’ve tried looking for a very long time and have never been able to find rips anywhere. Everything is missing, including award speeches, sliming, pretty much everything besides some bumpers here and there. Are they locked in a vault? Disappeared?? How could they all just slip like this?
It existed since 1997? Wow.
I watched the 2012, 2013 and 2014 broadcasts.
The 2012 one was by far more epic than the 2013 one. The 2013 one was just a very long WatchMojo video.
I originally recorded the 2012 to 2015 broadcasts on a Telekom Entertain Media Receiver 303 device, but that device has three problems:
* Zero data portability (the USB port is practically nothing beyond a 0.5 Ampère charger) * Proprietary recording format (similarly to that very old Olympia Memo 99 voice recorder) * Planned software obsolescence since April 2019 (device no longer useable).
But I remember that epic scene with the 90-second countdown when Will Smith climbed down a rope from a helicopter onto the building's roof and then climbed into the stadium.

Actually, it was 1988 (1987 if you count The Big Ballot). Kinda wondering if 1997 was a typo.
Hey! so i found some clips from the Awards from 2019 on their Facebook page. Didn't watch through it thoroughly enough, but it seems close to what you're looking for. I'll still be on the hunt for the full thing!

Sorry for barging in here... but I'm actively trying to find old KCA videos and images. I recently watched the KCA special this past Sunday, and had a whole live tweet about it:
I've been continuing it to today, with stuff I'm finding from old KCAs.
I also have KCA Wikia which is where I put all the videos and images I've found. Not 100% positive, but from what I know, I think I've found some pretty rare stuff over time. I plan to have all the categories listed here in the future for ease, but for the current time being, just change the URL to find the year you're looking for: kids-choice-awards.fandom.com/wiki/Category:KCA_1987
Only years I really haven't been able to find ANYTHING from would be 1991 and 1994, though I did find a few things from 94. I've found literally nothing from 1991.
I also have recovered the full 1988 show using Web/Internet Archive, so I do have that. I also have the full 2019 show recorded (though nowhere to put it up because copyright...) I also have the full 1997 show saved to my computer. In addition to that, I have a full KCA show database on my Google Drive. The link is below, but please note, some of them don't work anymore (mostly my own uploads) due to them being removed for copyright. If I uploaded, I should probably still have it though: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17L5WaXc7BVrFAg5Xo41SGdEx9FIsPi9UV_iFSlHjbqk/edit?usp=sharing
Hope this post helps others here and maybe my massive KCA research can help others find stuff I'm looking for (mainly looking for images and videos from 90's shows, but would absolutely love full shows available!)

I remember you uploaded it to Archive.org, but it's since been taken down. Just wondering and you don't have to answer of you don't want to, but what happened with that?

Copyright :/
Weird part is, not necessarily that video. Basically, I had uploaded the premiere airing of the series finale of Two and a Half Men (from February 19, 2015), but that was taken down because of a copyright claim from both Warner Bros Entertainment and Link Commercial Radio Productions Ltd. My account was 'locked', but it seems when that happens, ALL of your videos are taken down and your account is permanently locked, with no option/wait time to get it back.
I did create a new account though, so since it seems like the KCA videos I had up there were fine (1988 full, 2019 full, 2019 full orange carpet), I may upload those again at some point. I do want to be more careful though, so that Two and a Half Men finale is definitely not being uploaded again... (Though I still do have it saved!)
There were some clips of (i think?) the 2009-2018 awards shows in the Best of the Kids' Choice Awards that they aired instead of the 2020 KCAs.
I don't have any screen recorder or anything to rip it off my TV, but it is still saved in my DVR if anyone wants it?
I recorded the full thing on my computer and it's saved on my hard drive, just no where to upload it for others because copyright. :/
Pretty sure that's the reason so many of the KCAs are lost: copyright. There's nowhere "safe" to upload them, and even archive.org, in which their whole point is to archive as much media into one place, has had copyright troubles in the past (i.e. Nintendo taking down all of the issues of Nintendo Power that were uploaded there a few years ago).
So for those who haven't heard yet... KCA 2020 will be virtual, airing next Saturday, May 2. Get ready to record it just like I am, another KCA to record & preserve!
Huge update: That YouTuber, Pop Arena, with the Nick Knacks series (whose video on Rated K/The Big Ballot is linked earlier in this thread) is quite awesome. Turns out he had a copy of the full 1992 show. Asked him about it earlier today, sent it to me less than 24 hours later. More KCA history archived! Hooray!

Woah, good find! That’s a step forward in the right direction.
