Weird but clever!

This was an absolutely beautiful tribute. I could picture them in my head perfectly. I'm glad you decided to write this. Rik's death hit me very hard, as well, as I grew up watching him, too. Bottom will always be my most favorite show that he and Ade did (and I felt sooooo hard for Ade at Rik's passing). Well done. 3

As a life long Mayall fan I was beyond devastated at the news of his death and have struggled to come to terms with it even after what has been a very long and hard year knowing there'd be no more of his comedic blessings on the world. I wish I had found this story when it had happened as it has done exactly what you've set out to do, provide closure to a hole in my heart I never thought would close. Though it will never fully disappear it's at least given some comfort knowing my favorite character of his is not stuck in limbo and is instead exactly where he should be, with his best pal Eddie in the Lamb and Flag awaiting their audience to rejoin them for never ending Bottom fun!

Thank you for this, I'll be returning to it yearly on that fateful day in June.

This was amazing. Made me feel like shit, though. Sigh :( My husband and I watch random episodes of Bottom whenever the occasion calls for it (which is whenever we need cheering up). I'm always left feeling slightly depressed, though. Anyway, thanks for the little story. It was good. Sigh. :(
