[ENM] Confidence Isn't Hereditery

Despite having some interest in practicing at-home nudism, Eric found himself constantly feeling self-conscious or embarrassed being seen naked by others. Sure, it helped that his mother Melinda was so supportive, and even participated in the nudism herself. But, the fact that she was so unashamed, comfortable, and confident made Eric feel even more ashamed for not being more like her.

While Eric thought that he would slowly learn to become more comfortable by easing into it, Melinda was much more of the "sink or swim" or "trial by fire" mindset. As he stood there, slowly beginning to regret his own decision of stripping off, Melinda tried to console him. She walked him around the house, showing him that he could be at ease in their own home. Eric began to loosen up little by little, and Melinda wanted to capitalize on the progress. Seeing that he was still very much in his own head about this whole "nudist" thing, even though it was his idea, she thought, "The sun!" Feeling the cool breeze and direct sun on his body would surely help him realize the comforts and advantages to spending time in his birthday suit.

Except Eric was so lost in anxious thought that he was just following his mother around on auto-pilot, and didn't realize that she had lead him out onto their front porch until he heard a car drive by. They had a very long front yard, with few direct neighbors, so it wasn't as if they were attracting attention from anyone. But still! He was naked for all his neighborhood to see, if they looked! Yet, somehow, his mom stood there, uncovered and unashamed. He wished he had that sense of pride and confidence.

Maybe one day he'll get to that point too...
