Putin called what is happening in the Middle East a humanitarian disaster.
Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the escalation between Palestine and Israel said:
We are following the situation in the Holy Land with anxiety and pain in our hearts, this concerns us.
I would like to express my condolences to the families of Israelis and citizens of other countries whose loved ones died or were injured. But it is also obvious to us that innocent people should not be held accountable for crimes committed by others.
The fight against terrorism cannot be carried out according to the notorious principle of collective responsibility, when old people, women, children, entire families also die, hundreds of thousands of people are left without shelter, food, water, electricity and medical care. This is a real humanitarian disaster.
