I love the sharpness and uniqueness of this cologne. The punchiest and realest citrus peel note that I've smelled yet. Lemon/lime peel, green, and slight hints of wood. Longevity is a slight issue, but it's not a super expensive cologne so I can't fault it too much for that.
Impeccable fragrance. Best citron I've ever smelled in a cologne. It's not overly complicated, either. The juniper comes through nicely, the zest with that make it rather fresh. After an hour or so the citrus calms down and the woody base notes come alive. Juniper hangs out. I'd give it a 9 out of 10, and the only reason it loses a point is because its longevity is absolute trash. It diminishes 80% after four hours on my skin. Whispers of what must have been a fragrance remain at six hours. Though I wish it lasted longer, this makes it a great morning fragrance, if you have evening plans could swap out fragrances easily later in the day. If in a rush, wouldn't even need to shower this off.

Amazing opening. Longevity is lacking due to it being so fresh. Excellent for summer and casual wear.
I finally got around to picking this one up a couple of months ago, and I've now worn it a few times. Comparing to Eau Tres Fraiche, it's similar but I prefer Eau Tres Fraiche. The projection and longevity is less than ETF as well. It's good, not great.
This is an insanely good citrus note, with a light layer of aromatic elegance. Very fresh. I didn't really like the original but this one has a bit of an edge, it's sharper. Very good choice for the dog days. This is quite light though so it's not something I'd choose for an evening out (something like The One EdP would be much better).
Great opening which, on my skin, comes off as slightly mango. Dry down is less spectacular, resembling Mont Blanc Explorer.
Bitter, sour, citrussy. In the best way possible!
Perfect fragrance for hot weather, and I mean HOT. This is when this one shines. I'm currently wearing eau givree in 39° C and it's a banger. It's refreshing and will definitely please most people around you with it's amazing scent.
The opening is the best part as you get a blast of what resembles grapefruit. However, this aspect is short-lived and the fragrance quickly loses its charm.
Overall this just ended up being a worse version of TDH in my mind. By trying to be a fresher alteration of the original, it loses character on the drydown and fails to last as long. Yes, it's definitely better in high heat, otherwise I'm picking the original every day of the week.
Not a fan of the gin-smelling frags, but this one isn’t over the top like say Costa Azzura parfum. This is subdued juniper berry but also lemonade-y. Refreshing af, perfect for a hot summer day
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
The opening is a blast of bitter citrus, orange. The terre d'hermes DNA is there.
Smells really pleasant after the initial citrus blast. Fresh, orangey, great for spring and summer and in the sun it projects and you can really smell this fragrance.
First 2-3 hours the projection is great! Then you can still smell it after that but closer. Well blended beautiful, unique DNA.
Punchy Citrus
A superb scent (in my subjective opinion). From French, Eau Givrée translates into English as frosted water and it is superlatively cold. I love the punchy citron in the head notes along with the juniper. It will rattle and shake you as if you took an audacious dip into an ice bath; that is one impression.
The notes de facto have been divided and listed here on this page. In the head, there's certainly the punchy citron and juniper berry. To my nose, the Nepalese Sichuan pepper weaves and laces through with a soft presence at the top, but it isn't overwhelming. The head is certainly my favorite expression of this fragrance, followed by the tails.
In the heart, the minerality does start to express its individuality. Some flintiness starts to shine through, and It's tied to the rest of the notes.
Following the heart, in the tail, the Iso E Super comes through brilliantly with the subtle cedar, and dry, dusty gravel undertones. There is a trace amount of minerality left. I am a simple man, and when I smell Iso E Super, I lean into my skin for an olfactory affair.
However, here is the caveat: Vis-à-vie to the impressions and expressions on the mind, this may or may not be what you are looking for. I appreciate the singular notes, however, in juxtaposition, the olfactory impression is certainly imprinted with mental images of glossy magazines reflective of the light and even Blockbuster in the heart of the fragrance.
Yes, the now-defunct video rental chain that went out of business in the early 2010s. Yes, I can smell the inside of the store with its sterility and rentable movies found inside their black plastic containers.
Proceed as you wish.
Am I the only one that thinks this smells just like Un Jardin Sur Le Nil ? 🤷🏾♂️?! For realz?😮 I have UJSLN body wash and lotion and use them both when I am wear this ! Anyone else?! Love it BTW. Great for summer every day … also layer it with Thé Matcha 26 which works well. I think. 🤔.
My favorite of the line, just ahead of Eau Intense Vetiver. The opening makes my eyes squint and I get that sour, tingly sensation on my taste buds - an involuntary reaction, as if eating an actual citrus fruit.
This fragrance made me like citrus notes again. For a minute I thought that citrus dominant fragrances were not for me, since they often reminded me of lemon pledge. But this type of citrus I enjoy - uplifting and invigorating.
Decent performance for this day and age (2022 bottle).
So many mentions of grapefruit (which does exist, particularly in the drydown - a characteristic of a certain grapefruit aromachems, as natural grapefruit oil is a very fleeting and volatile top note), but very little mention of juniper, which is the star of the show here - or, at least in the top-half. It really is a gin-like fragrance. I'm not typically a fan of gin themes, only because they're so difficult to do well, so most are disappointing, but I adore juniper in any context - even as a fantasy accord, and, for a predominantly synthetic fragrance, this one is done exquisitely well.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Terre d' Hermes line. The EdT and "Parfum" iterations are okay, and I get the appeal, but I find them boring, as it's essentially just 50% Iso-E Super, with a ton of Vertofix, vetiveryl acetate, and some other sheer woody/cedar/vetiver aromachems with a synthetic waxy orange accord. I can deal with the IES, but the fake vetiver overdose is grating to me.
Here, we see a similarly massive dose of Iso-E Super (to me, it smells more like Iso-G Super or Sylvamber), but rather than being weighed down and muddled by synthetic vetiver, of which I do still detect in the form of vetiveryl acetate, albeit dosed much lower here, there is a conspicuous and diffusive juniper berry note, that the IES serves to prop up, rather than it (the IES) being the unimpeded star of the show. It's bracingly fresh and vibrant, but there's zero terpenic noise. No camphor or cineolic notes, nothing minty or green/vegetal. You get the aromatic, herbal, semi-coniferous side of juniper berry, with more emphasis on the clean spicy fruity-peppery side. This is further-emphasized by the brilliant pairing of Timur pepper co2 (likely one of the only naturals in the formula), which lends an almost "Sauvage-like" note to the top, minus the loud metallic sweetness you get from pink peppercorn, and replaced by the subtle citrusy zing of Timur pepper. The citron note is reserved, and ties in perfectly with the other gin themed notes, growing softer and oilier as it dries down. Unlike lemon, citron is a pretty tenacious citrus material, and can persist well into the heart. It opens with a sparkle and shimmer, without even remotely hinting at lemon floor cleaner or disinfectant, and eventually melds into the other aromatic components.
It's a pretty simple fragrance. There are some cedar-like materials that round out the bottom end and lend some structural character, but by-and-large, it's really about the juniper, citron, Timur pepper, IES, and "vetiver". Given the sheer, transparent nature of the base, it makes for a very linear and seamless blend - simple, yes, but almost deliberately so, in a minimalistic way. The IES serves as a clean canvas, providing a neutral, clean, mineralic and woody backdrop, allowing the fresh aromatics to persist into the dry-down, which does come soon, and no one would be fooled thinking this is some powerhouse extrait.
It's like a cologne, and should probably be treated as such. A fresh, clean, and bracing fragrance, with a minimalistic and ultra-modern feel, and just enough naturalism to where, despite being synthetic, doesn't smell "chemical" or screechy in any way. Given the cool, grey, woodsy juniper accord, this would actually feel quite appropriate in late autumn and winter, just as much as in the heart of spring. I'd just apply a bit more liberally in the cold, to allow it to cut through.
But a fragrance that wears equally well in the dead of summer as it does in the heart of winter is a hard feat to pull off, and despite this being a synthetic mainstream designer, and, at least on paper, a super boring and simplistic one, I actually quite like this, and will probably even seek to obtain a full bottle.
This is my idea of a mass-appealing "dumb reach" designer done right.
In my opinion, this is the best and most unique of the Terre d'Hermes collection.
That citron note is quite strong, zingy and overpowering. It almost feels like stinging. So you have to like that to appreciate this fragrance. Good for summer days. But I do miss some depth as this stays quite linear. Hermès is a great designer house and I have only smelled good to great fragrances from them. This falls in the good but not great category because I find the opening too aggressively citrusy. I prefer the original Terre d’Hermès, which is a masterpiece and much more versatile.
My mom randomly gave this to me a few months ago. I like it but not really into it that much, most of my friends like it too, never had that much people like my fragrant before. It’s an easy compliment getter for sure.
Fragrances often go through what I like to call the infatuation phase. In this phase, you instantly fall in love with the scent but haven't yet gotten to know its quirks or fully understand how the fragrance develops. I am happy to report that after a year of owning Terre D' Hermes Eau Givree, I still love this fragrance. The opening of the scent is mesmerizing as it opens with a photorealistic interpretation of pink grapefruit; it smells like freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. As the fragrance settles, you get some similarities to the Terre D' Hermes Eau Fraiche but with a stronger, more pronounced citrus/citron. The full dry-down is slightly woodsier but unmistakably Hermes. It is a bright, uplifting, and refreshing scent that I love.
In my mind this is a "situational fragrance". As in there are very specific situations where this is the exact fragrance you want, but it's not necessarily a daily wear. It reminds me of oranges on a warm summer day in a field of flowers. It is a lovely fragrance when you want to embrace a nice warm pleasant day. Think light clouds and open blue skies. I think it is unisex, perhaps leaning masculine very slightly. It plays a very specific role in the collection.
The original Terre d'hermes is probably my most worn fragrance. I absolutely love it. So this was obviously a must try for me. The opening is perhaps one of the most sharp citrus opens I've ever experienced and it's great. The first time I smelt it I was a little taken back. It's sharp, aggressive and potentially off putting if you're new to fragrances. I do really like the opening alot actually, it was just very surprising. The dry down is a little disappointing. It's a faint weaker take on the Terre DNA. It definitely has the original DNA in here. It's just not as soild and full bodied as I was hoping for. I want to test this again but I can see myself buying it. It's a soild like for me, not a love. If you're new to fragrances sample. That opening may be too much for you. For me that opening makes this possibly worth a pick up because I really like it. The original is the the best for me. This is very good, not great.
Update: I re-tested today at sephora and I think I'm ready to buy it. That opening is absolutely incredible. I feel I got better performance this time around. I picked up whiffs throughout the day with a couple sprays on the hand. I still think it kinda lacks a backbone with a dry down that smells like a weaker version of the original Terre. I'm in between a like and a love.
I thought this would be a safe likeable scent for just about anyone. Turns out it's not. According to my fiancee, this makes you smell like a menthol tree and I kind of agree. Definitely not for everyone, please try before buying.
I disagree with other reviewers who say this doesn't share the Hermes DNA. It definitely does! Take the original, replace the sweet orange top notes with a sharp citron and juniper, and lighten the heavy flinty mid notes so that they're not quite as strong and you get this. I think it's better than the original, at least for spring and summer wear. An excellent buy if you like terre dhermes but want to stand out a bit more.
Wandered into the Hermès store in Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta, last week after a business lunch. I have Terre d'Hermes but have never given the rest of their fragrance lineup a real go. Out of the current lineup, Eau Givree definitely stood out to me positively.
@spartaksci mentioned this in their review below, and I agree: While they don't smell identical, Eau Givree and Eau de Rochas Homme share definite similarities. Eau de Rochas leans more heavily on the citrus, though, while Eau Givree is much greener. You can also definitely tell Eau Givree is a more modern fragrance against the Rochas. The Rochas definitely smells like it is a child of the 90s (those Aldehydes, lol), but I personally don't think that is a negative at all for the Rochas.
If you're looking for a similar "vibe" that Eau Givree puts out or a cheaper alternative, i.e., something still within this classy herbal citrus DNA/family, give Eau de Rochas Homme a go.
As for Eau Givree, it's now firmly on my "to buy" list.
I love this scent so much! I hope it will stay a lesser known member of the terre line, altough it differs a lot from the original terre edt/edp, lot less mosquito spray vibe. Doesn’t project as much, no different from other citrus dominant scents, but it lasts long time as long as you hydrate and use vaseline. scent is 10/10 for me, longevity 10/7, projection 10/5, versatility is 10/4 as it is mostly a summer scent in my opinion.
Opens up with this fresh grapefruit almost pomelo scent and dry's down to a fresh lemonade/lemontree auqa scent with a wood base
scent 9,4/10
longevity(on my skin) 7,8/10
sillage 6,2/10
this is a really safe blind buy if u like sour/fresh scents BUT always TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
Wow , What a fragrance , Now i was a fan of the original TDH but this is just another level , incredibly vibrant and sour citron opening that is just so lively , as it dries down the citron gets tamed but i STILL pick it up throughout the life of the fragrance , the juniper and aromatic notes and the earthy notes and woods start to shine through near the 30 minute mark. The citrus in this might not be for everyone as it is very rindy but i personally love it , Citron isn't a very commonly used citrus so i'll try to explain how it smells , it's basically like a grapefruit-lemon hybrid citrus , But more lemon than grapefruit.
Scent : 9.5/10
Performance : 7.5/10 , For a Fresh summer fragrance this is great , You're getting easily 5-6 hours if not more with a solid 2 foot projection the first couple hours
Price : 8/10 , This will run you around 80-100$ Which is a solid price considering the quality of ingredients used
Overall : 9/10
And the appropriate weather for this is obviously Spring/Summer , You could stretch it and say it works in the fall too because of the earthiness but there are better options , but this fragrance really shines when the heat is above 25 degrees celsius or around 80 fahrenheit
This one is superb. They've mixed this beautifully. At the opening I get everything, but it's so smoothly blended that it just works. You'll pick up on the cedar along with the powerful citron note, which I think is just a combo of grapefruit, juniper and lemon. Interestingly, I do pick up pine needle oil and pamplemousse. After a a little bit of time, what dominates the fragrance for me is that mineral note along with the juniper berry/grapefruit. This combo sticks around for some time.
I do see the resemblance to LBF and I do feel a slight resemblance to H24, but I wouldn't say they are that close beause this one doesn't have that powerful and sour fruity note that H24 does. After Eau Givree gets more in the mid, I pick up on a flint note! Someone who reviewed this said that in about 10 years from now people are going to start calling this a masterpiece, just got a backup bottle after 10 minutes of time with the newly arrived Eau Givree. 9.5/10
Opens with orange rind, then settles into summery lemon trees. Don't get too comfortable, though, because for me this wore off within an hour. Cannot justify buying anything that short-lived.
Smells like you're peeling a juicy, tasty grapefruit. Smells amazing, it could easily be more popular than Torino21 for example if it was sold by Xerjoff. Unfortunately the longevity isn't really there, which is... to be expected from this sort of fragrances. But even so, the smell is so, so good I had to get myself a bottle. Sometimes 1 hour of greatness is much better than 10 hours of mediocrity.
One of the most refreshing fragrances I've ever smelled. Need to try on my skin but I can easily see this being an excellent everyday summer fragrance.
Unfortunately smells more like a H24 flanker, rather than Terre D'Hermes. You can notice the style of the new in house perfumer. Not a fan of her to be honest.
It has the original Terre d’Hermes dna, but is fresher, brighter and more modern. The mineral and elevated citron notes make this to the best in the TdH line. A masterpiece.
As I was testing this, my wife asks me "Why does it smell like mosquito repellent in here?" LOL. Yeah I was kind of enjoying it up until that point.
Would have been amazing if it lastet longer, but some scents aren't made to last long. This is very masculine and signature-worthy. Smells like gin & tonic. Smells also a bit like Dior Homme EDT, but more cold/cool, like there's some ice-cubes added to the scent!
The opening reminds me a lot of Xerjoff's Torino21. Very natural smelling, almost like a lemon tea. And of course, the infamous gin & tonic-like smell is also prominent. Very pleasing summer-time scent, that I'm gonna enjoy having in my rotation!
Scent: 8/10 - Drydown is not as good as opening, but really good still.
Longevity: 7/10
Projection: 6/10
Price per ml: 7/10
Beautiful and refreshing summer juice. Will be wearing this as my signature scent throughout this summer.
Thank goodness this lasts on me!
Smells great.
I blended it with Torino 21 for Nio and those combos are fire.
Year round!
Gorgeous!
This scent is okay, it comes off very citrusy and smells fresh, although with the mid notes, it doesn't get much more complex, it has a mix between a bundle of lemons and oragnes, and a backing of pine. Its not very masculine, nor femine but would not be a cologne to wear.
I have terre de hermes and eau tres fraiche and I really like in terre d'hermes in a weird way. The original to me is very pungent at first from the bitter orange and vetiver, but somehow I just really enjoy it and feels very classy too me. This one trades that strong bitter orange for a juicy grapefruit and tones down the vetiver, but the vetiver is still very prominent. To my preference they perfected the formula. It's still citrusy but a strong grapefruit fresh feeling, but not light. It's still a strong vetiver, but not off putting but just right. The blend is beautiful. It's one I want to wear all the time. It is perfection of the terre d'hermes dna and signature scent worthy. Going to my top 5
I will preface this write up with an opinion that will be contrary to most here. This has very little resemblance to the Terre D’Hermes line up. I own the complete series and Eau Givree is the flanker that has the least in common with the previous releases before it. I’m not saying that it isn’t any good because it is. It’s just that the lineage is vaguely apparent and I would even consider this a creation of its own right. Great opening with that citrus blast and mineral essence but, It kind of goes flat from there. None of that orange semi dirty with flint like accord that is a signature of this lineage.
Eau Givree is good but, not quite like the OG and it’s flankers. It has quality without the heritage and prestige of the former creations. Jean Claude-Elena created timeless masterpieces. The new perfumer is good but, not in the same class as JCE. Just my 2 cents….
Breathe in the Icy Air of Confidence: My Review of Terre d'Hermès Eau Givrée
..First Impressions: The citrus blast hits like a splash of icy water, invigorating and attention-grabbing. But it's not just a fleeting zing. The grapefruit note lingers, interwoven with a subtle, spicy whisper of juniper berry. Think less forest floor, more sun-drenched Mediterranean cliffside. The green pepper adds a sophisticated kick, a touch of intrigue that keeps you guessing.
..The Heart of the Matter: As the fragrance settles, the magic happens. The earthy, woody base emerges, a comforting counterpoint to the initial freshness. It's like the sun warming the cool mountain air, bringing out a masculine warmth and depth. Cedarwood and vetiver ground you, while a touch of mineral water adds an unexpected twist – like the icy meltwater carving its way through the rock.
..Lasting Power: This isn't a fragrance that fades after an hour. Eau Givrée holds its own, evolving throughout the day. The citrus softens, the pepper becomes more prominent, and the base lingers like a subtle, smoky ember. It's a scent that leaves a lasting impression, not just on you, but on those around you.
?Who is This For? The Eau Givrée man is confident, yet approachable. He's comfortable in his own skin, but not afraid to stand out. He appreciates quality and craftsmanship, and understands the power of a well-chosen scent. Whether you're scaling career heights or exploring hidden coves, this fragrance is your companion.
!The Verdict: Terre d'Hermès Eau Givrée isn't just a fragrance; it's an experience. It's a breath of fresh air in a world of olfactory monotony. If you're looking for a scent that's invigorating, sophisticated, and undeniably masculine, look no further. This is more than just a thumbs up; it's a standing ovation. Trust me, gentlemen, this is one icy peak you won't want to miss.
P.S. Don't just take my word for it. Try it yourself and see if it doesn't become your new signature scent. The compliments will roll in, guaranteed! Now go out there and conquer the world, one confident sniff at a time.
Beautiful citrus opening but performance and longevity is abysmal. I Even tried spraying it on my shit to get it to last longer but was very disappointed. You can go heavy with the trigger and it will still vanish in an hour.
Full disappointed with this "flanker", once, and again. What's the point create these water bombs one after another again and again?? If I had to work with such a thin line of ingredients accepted anymore, I would re-educate as parfumer to lawyer or something else. And by the way, it's not juniper at all, maybe a little hint of blackberries staying two seconds in the wrest....
This opens with fresh orange, lovely juicy orange or manderine with the skin just being broken into and the zesty spray coming out kind of smell. Half an hour to an hour later it's citrus has died down and it's giving much more floral aromatic notes. If it had better longevity I'd score it quite a lot higher in terms of value because it does smell nice. Or if wasn't so expensive. It's pricey at 100e for something that's all but gone within a couple hours. It's detectable with my nose pressed up against my skin now, 8 hours later, but only just.
Projection: 4/10 (moderate in the opening, non existent in the dry down)
Longevity: 3/10
Quality: 8/10 (I really love the opening)
I started with demo mini bottle, and it was just like in the reviews, fresh clean, you just know that's Hermes family fragrance. But it was not long-lasting... Then I go with 100 ml of it and surprisingly turned out it IS long-lasting, maybe near 6-7 hours!
I would for sure recommend this perfume if you already have classic terre, but you looking something for hot spring and summer days, something more sporty less classic. I really like this luxurious notes in perfumes from Hermes
This is one of the very best fresh fragrances I've ever laid my nose upon. Incredibly refreshing, natural and luxurious.
For a citrus fragrance, it lasts a good amount of time on me. It's just a very strong bitter lemony citrus that stays pretty linear.
It's not to my taste though, it's almost sour in it's bitterness, closer to concentrated lemon juice than a freshly squeezed lemon.
Wow the citron really packs a punch ! Unique and classy. Not really my style but it’s a fragrance that has to be respected for not following the trends which will make it stand the test of time in my opinion
This should have won the perfume of the year award, not the over hyped le male elixir, this is the best sour citrus fresh perfume to date, super versatile and put a smile on the face. 10/10 👏🏻
Finally a fresh designer scent that smells distinctive and doesn’t blend into a sea of sameness. The bitter citrus and strong juniper have a lot of punch and surprising lasting power. There is a sharpness here, the juniper and mineral, that keeps my nose from going blind to it.
This will be a great one for the warmer weather. Simple strong notes.
I just adore this scent. Versatile everyday workplace safe scent profile. What more to say.
It’s a 9.5/10 and the 0.5 is due to moderate longevity other than that I absolutely love the smell
could you guys stop calling it "a summer scent" already, please? it's a perfect everyday scent, much in the tradition of italian men's colognes from the past. almost forgotten species which is so-so surviving in a fragrance world dominated by juvenile sticky sweetness, both designer and niche. a laughable trend.
i admire hermes for being brave and different.
10/10
Elegant perfume amazing quality, I wish most people didn't know about this. My precious...:)
If anyone has a bottle of this and is willing to trade it, go ahead and message me directly so we can negotiate a potential swap exchange please 🙏🏼
I was wearing it today on a winter rainy day and it is so good, really didn't feel out of place.
Also this lasts for very long.
It has something other summer fragrances don`t, seriousness. Great for the office in the summer.
After weeks I can say this fragrance is phenomenal. Dirty, manly citron with herbal-woody drydown. EXTREMELY refreshing !!! But very WEAK projection and longetivity is only 1 hour !!!
Tdh is my all time favorite but this one is a little bit off-putting to me. Wouldn't buy
This is a fantastic summer perfume . I would say a must have if you live in a hot & humid area . The scent is all about fizzy citrus and nice woody little sweet dry down . But its very juicy from the begining . Very much suitable for office environment . The performance is moderate . But I do not care actually . Fresh scent doesnt last long anyway. You may carry a decant with you and can re spray whenever you need to. But the scent profile is definitely top notch .
Nice opening, but garbage performance... I'm actually really surprised the votes are so high. I will admit that the first time I smelled it, the citron made my mouth water, but it's just not worth buying to respray every hour.
I LOVE this scent. The best way I can describe it is "woodsy citrus spice". It feels like there's a bit of mistique to this fragrance, and it is incredible. I love it, but my wife describes it as "interesting", haha. Something you should know is that it starts off with the burst of citron, and an undertone of timur pepper. The citrus fades significantly (but does not entirely dissapate) after about 20-30 minutes. Then the Juniper and pepper come to shine with an undertone of woodiness and citron. closer to the end, the pepper fades a bit, and it's a more woodsy juniper with whispers of citron and pepper. It's a cologne that transforms as time progresses, which just adds to that air of 'mistique' that I feel when wearing it. It's fresh the whole way through, and makes me feel great.
My only issue with this fragrance is that it sits WAY too close to the skin for me. My nose isn't the most sensitive, so I need a cologne to have a bit more projection to be able to enjoy it without sniffing my wrists every once in a while to notice the scent. Some of this might be nose blindness, but a lot of it is just that once the citron settles down, the projection is gone with it.
My wife's nose is a lot more sensitive, and she tells me that it leaves a silliage when I walk by. So I suppose, it's performance is fine if you're looking for something more intimate, or if you have a more sensitive nose than I do. For me, I'm going to need to check out the original since I've heard it's a similar scent with a bit more projection.
At this point I need to just admit that the Terre d'Hermes DNA simply doesn't work for me. I have tried the EDT, Parfum, and now Eau Givree. Off of my skin, the DNA of this line comes off sterile and medicinal like a doctor's office or O.R. Eau Givree in particular brings me back to my childhood but not how I had hoped.
On top of the sterile quality to it, it also has a burnt plastic smell in the opening. Apparently I used to be Sid from Toy Story because I would use a magnifying glass to melt my action figures and the fumes that came off of that smell alarmingly similar to this. For me the drydown is citrus, juniper, "metallic," and burnt plastic (but smoother than the opening). I really wish I smelled what everyone else seems to with this line.
Love this one. It can be worn even at winter because of the realistic woody base note. A masterpiece! Long lasting and it develops and transforms. The opening is a gourmand citrus and then it turns little sweet from the juniper berries and ultimately after many hours turns into a very realistic masculine woody earthy scent.
Doesn’t move me in any way or shape
I’d take the original any day of the week and twice on sundays over this
I’m secretly waiting for something epic in the TdH- line
Currently wearing this
First time I applied this I wasn't completely sold, it was a straight citrusy lemon scent for me.
Next few days I applied it definitely smells more complex, mature, pleasant, refreshing and clean scent
Thinking about buying a big bottle specially since I live in Florida and its usually hot and humid around here
9/10
The opening smells excactly like if you were in a bar taking a sip of a crisp and refreshing gin tonic while picking up silage from someone wearing the original Terre d'Hermes.
The dry down is more or less like the original EDT minus the distinct "dirty orange" vibe, a bit fresher, with the vetiver more pronounced and with some hints of juniper added.
Interesting scent but a bit redundant as a purchase if you have the original.
It’s very nice but it doesn’t hold a candle to the classic TdH. Arguably a little more summery than it’s Dad, it lacks the glacial punch.
Terre d Hermes and it's flankers are always so tough to describe as the notes are often opposites you have the clean freshness of citrus, given complexity by adding mineral and Vetiver notes. This on is no different, the difference is that the citrus is much brighter, and the mineral notes are gone leaning towards a fresher cleaner fragrance than the edt or intense Vetiver. This juice performs well even if projection has been dialed down from the others. This was probably necessary to get the desired summer fragrance they were aiming for with this, however despite their efforts, it still smells like a year round fragrance not a summer cologne. I was hoping for something with a little bit of sweetness to bàlance out the bitterness of the citron and maybe the Vetiver toned down. This instead follows very close to the original dna, which is great because
the edt is amazing, but at the same time a bit of a letdown as I was hoping for something that deviated slightly more and is more summery, this instead borders on being redundant as I see myself wearing it in the exact same situations, and i honestly prefer the edt. Longevity is great for a fragrance of this type but again the edt edges it in this regard as well. I'd rate this an 8.5 out of ten I just prefer the dirty orange and high projection of the edt to the subtle citron in this.
What an amazing and refreshing scent!
In my opinion, this is a mix between Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche + D&G Light Blue Forever
(I own both)
Because of its bitterness (just a tiny bit) is more suited for the spring time and not for the hot humid summer days...
On the other hand, i can see myself wearing it through the winter when i want to smell fresh and clean!!
Amazing longevity and projection off of my skin!!
An all year around Swiss Army knife of a fragrance to add in ur arsenal 🔥
Refreshing, bitter, realistic citrus. My favourite of the whole line (based on sampling). Finally a summer citrus that doesn't bore me with typically masculine accords.
Reviewer below nailed it by saying it’s the "not so serious version of the original TH EDT" It has almost completely replaced my use of the EDT. Has very much same DNA but opens so much brighter than the EDT or Parfum. Opens with a strong burst of Citron and juniper berries then dries to a very similar dry down to the original. The Citron is dry and tart and the timur gives it a grapefruit scent without any musk. Lemonade with a shot of gin and a grapefruit floating in it. Does not smell like BO like many grapefruit fragrances (Light Blue Forever). It is very similar to the edt in the drydown but stays alitte more fresh and young. Doesn't last as long as one would wish but for this type scent it’s acceptable. My all time favorite warm weather fragrance. I love it so much I wear at home all year just to catch the whiffs of myself. If you like any Terre d'Hermes this one will suit you fine 9/10
This one smells so good, even better than 'eau tres fraiche' in my opinion. In terms of scent only, I believe this one topped even the original EDT.
The only downside of this perfume is the longevity, I really wish this one has better longevity.
In Indonesia, peoples rarely compliment each other especially to strangers, but when I'm using this perfume I get compliments from left & right
Summery grapefruit perfection! Starts off with a fresh burst of Citron and Grapefruit for around 20 mins and then dries down to juniper berries and light woody notes. The only issue is that it doesn’t last very long on my skin (+-6 hours total) and projects for around 2 hours. Average sillage.
I love this scent, it’s quite dissimilar to the original DNA but is a great addition to an intermediate collection. I use it in high-heat daytime situations, to early evening summer-time occassions.
Think chino shorts, linen shirts, white leather sneakers, semi-casual functions.
Definitely worthwhile buying.
Rating: 4.75/5
Recommendation: Buy
Decent longevity.
Smell is very reminiscent of gin given the citrus and juniper notes, but not in a bad way. It doesn't have as much depth as I would've hoped, but in some ways that plays to its strength, if what you're looking for is a fresh, clean and simple summer fragrance.
If you want more complexity and depth, go for the normal edt of terre d'hermes, but if you want a simple, citrus forward fragrance, this is a safe bet. But... Get a sample first, or try it in a store. I wouldn't recommend blind-buying it.
Tried a sample and loved it. This has a green a bit fruity note that is very prominent in the L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert Sisley, but here it is more subtle and blended with lemon and juniper. The opening is surprisingly realistic citruses that are very enjoyable and that green fresh note is there all the way. Was expecting a generic freshee but it took me by surprise.
I wore a sample today and the hairdresser who cut my hair complimented the scent and said it was better than other guys wearing perfumes, soft, smooth, familiar
Tried a decant of this recently. To my nose it's basically Terre EDT but an EDP. That's no bad thing since I luuuuuuvvvv Terre. I know it's supposed to have different notes but I detected nothing different except the orange smelled fresher and it finally projected and lasted as long as I wanted. She's a winner. Thanks Christine Nagel.
Very nice and refreshing, not very long lasting unless you spray your clothes. It’s way more juvenile than Eau três fraiche but I prefer that one, as it’s got a more macho vibe. You can’t go wrong with either.
The only good thing Nagel did so far for Hermes.
The combination of notes smells like Guava fruit.
This one is pretty good, and dare I say, even better than Eau fraisch.
Bought three different fragrances at the same time (relevant to the review).
Le Beau Le Parfum, Invictus Victory Elixir, and Eau Givree Hermès.
Sprayed the Elixir on the left hand, Hermes on right, Le Parfum on the upper forearm.
I bought Terre d'Hermes Parfum Hermès a couple of years ago and this fragrance has ALMOST the same opening as that one. Slightly more fresh imo. Overall I prefer this (Eau Givree Hermès) fragrance over the other one.
Great for warm weather. Smells kinda like a dirty orange.
The reason I mentioned the other fragrances, I read A LOT of reviews stating this fragrance has zero longevity.
At this moment, I sprayed the juice between 6-8 hours ago. I had to eat and washed my hands twice at different times.
I STILL smell Eau Givree Hermès as much as the others. And the other is an “elixir.” I smell it more than the Le Parfum which hasn’t been washed at all.
Perhaps it’s because the other two smell somewhat similar. I don’t know. But I don’t think the longevity is bad at all and it projects heavily.
This is a safe blind buy in my opinion. Not a bad price either.
I’d have to rate it an 8.8/10
Edit: After giving it some wear. I had to come back and review it again. I love citrus notes for warm weather and I have PLENTY of citrus fragrances. This is my top three if not two favorite citrus scent. It projects heavily for the first couple/few hours and eventually settles down to be an arms reach scent. This is easily a safe blind buy. I cannot see how anybody would find this off putting. Unless they simply hate citrus.
Definitely worthy of a blind buy
This has gone from a bit of indifference, to a like, to a love for me. After wearing it more over the weeks I have come to love all phases, especially the immediate top, and eventual end. Back up bottle(s) worthy.
Borderline 😍. The opening is perfect. I thought I smelled mineral grapefruit soda with berries in the overtone. Omg. But that quickly devolves into a more earthy, woody, citron / orange peel vibe. Like fruit that just left the earth and isn’t quite ripe yet.
It’s still very nice, but less fresh and zesty. So it goes from 😍 to borderline 😍 or just 🙂. VG.
The original is already an orange smell, this is lemony/citron + mild grapefruit smell.
Smells like an upscale men's clothing store (not a department store, but specifically a gentlemen's fine clothier), where all you really smell is very light, gently clean fresh and mineralic cool air, mixed with the smell of high quality solid wood furnishings/wood framed display cases etc.
I use this when I dont want to use sprays of MFK Gentle Fluidity, since they serve the same purpose in my fragrance wardrobe.
Similar to the original, but with a more pronounced citrus note in the opening. Performance is remarkably good for this type of fragrance. Others in this genre fizzle out after a few hours, whereas this one goes strong the whole day.
8/10
This whole range is raw sex.
It's outstanding.
Light and carefree but with a few drops of sohisticated and peppery juniper/conifer.
The citrus here is not turning it into another variation of CK One, only adding a few diluted notes into the original painting. This here is a high class on summer vacation.
This is safe, pleasant enough, and quite generic. I had high hopes for this, and they were dashed.
The opening is great, but develops into the next phases quite quickly. It becomes a skin scent within half an hour on me.
Not in the same league as the glorious eau tres fraiche.
Try before you buy.
This stuff is fantastic.
It's a lovely Gin & Tonic with Lemon and ice on a scorching hot day.
Longevity, for a fresh citrus cent, is very good in my opinion.
First Impression:
A ton of Lemon juice droped on a very clean and bright wood. Pleasent though
The citrus is very invigorating, sharp, fresh, but the performance is pathetic. Project ok for 1 hour then skin scent for 3 hours.
To me is the best Summer 🌞 perfume.
Opens with citrus and after it goes floral powder. Big Love....
Despite the fact that I like this fragrance very much, it's shame that this is what we get instead of the glorious Eau Très Fraîche. This one is close enough to Eau Très Fraîche, though it's not a complete substitute.
It's the same citrus that we are all familiar with Terre d'Hèrmes line, but this one smells more herbal/aromatic than Eau Très Fraîche, and not as bright. I really wish this one came separately and the other remained, though.
Dry down is very similar to Eau Très Fraîche, so at least in that aspect, I'm happy.
Summer banger! Outstanding flanker to the OG Terre D'Hermes. Has a killer opening with the citron which transitions fairly quickly to juniper berries (smells like gin) and timur, which smells like grapefruit, but even better.
Strong for a freshie with good performance, unlike most freshies. I'm getting right at 7 hours with Eau Givree and my skin usually drinks fragrances. You can pay a lot more and get a lot less. This is value for your money.
I've never been the biggest fan of the original TDH. I like the vetiver flanker pretty well, but Eau Givree has become my absolute favorite from the line. Custom made for Spring and Summer.
Today I'm using Eau Givreé, a perfume that was my entryway international perfume, I went to a store here in my city and fell in love with the first spray. I bought a few others after him and today I have a humble collection with 34 units. But Givreé is my favorite, my girlfriend's favorite and here at work (air-conditioned office) people always ask what the perfume is and I, out of jealousy, don't say. The opening is wonderful and the cider accompanies the perfume for a lifetime, fabulous!
This is an amazing fresh, but unique scent.
The citrus is very realistic, and the juniper berries are very prominent too.
Perfect for a summer signature.
A true gem in the sea of basic freshies.
Very high quality.
Longevity is a bit below average, but it's a fresh scent. Projection is pretty good.
This became my favourite fresh fragrance, truly love at first sniff.
This is my favorite TDH and one of my favorite freshies overall. The vivacious youngest child of the grayish, sedated TDH family, here to have fun but retaining an element of refinement and modesty of its more stoic older brothers. First spray is sparkling iced juniper and citron which only lasts for an hour or 2, which is why people say the performance is bad, but that's how top notes work. I've gotten compliments hours after application. The peppery metallic light woody base is what lasts, also possibly cashmeran in here that gives me the feeling of a new book. It's also slightly futuristic with the metallic quality, almost like Hermes collaborated with Mugler. For me 2 maybe 3 sprays is enough but this is one you could spray more liberally. This is my antidote for oppressive heat because it cuts right through with its citrus and pepper effervescence
Juniper Berries and citron, but this citron is unreal realistic, like fresh cutted citron, lovely
longevity is terrible, also scent itself, it much likeable, but for heat weather in summer, is ideal for wear it till day
I was super skeptical of this fragrance so I held off on smelling it because the OG was a masterpiece and H24 was straight garbage. BUT, this is an incredible flanker. The OG is a 10/10 for me but this MIGHT even trump the original. Gorgeous, fresh and bitter citrus opening but its in no way off-putting like I thought it would be. (nothing like LB Forever) Dries down to the original TDH DNA with a hint of added juniper. Performance seems to be a bit better than the original as well which was also a shock to me. Awesome juice.
As for a citrus freshie, this one is gold. I compared it next to the latest Dior Sport, and this one was just far superior on my skin. And just a tad more unique and sophisticated to me.
First impressions: it's like a mix of terre d'hermes with dolce & gabbana light blue forever.
If i have to choose from these 2(Light blue forever and Hermes eau givree), i'll go with Eau Givree.
This actually performs a lot better on me than I expected based on reviews - I’ve had a full work day with it on and I can still smell it on me. (And both the opening and the drydown are fantastic, especially on a hot day.)
Very weak performance lasts for 2 hours, and it has prime silliage for 1 hour after that it becomes skin scent and lasts for another 1 hour, you need to reload it each 2 hour.
The fragerance is adorable, it quite similar to 2006 flanker but in freshness-way and suitable for sunny warm or hot weather.
It little bit overpriced.!!!
Got a bottle when they first released.
Smelled very astringent and sharp to me. Not for me. But near photorealistic Citron.
Just got a 100ml bottle, and have zero performance issues.
For the scent - hmm... I'm not sure if they are able to come up with a flanker of that line that would be successful without carrying a heavy dose of the original dna. I love the original, but I would expect a more substantial twist for a summer flanker. It is nice aromatic/fresh at the opening but then gets back to a kinda formal feel known to all of us.
I get a blast of zingy grapefruit in the opening and then that grapefruit blends in with the woody and salty/mineral dry down. I first tried this in a store while I was searching for a summer fragrance. I made my mind up 10 minutes later, knew I had to buy a bottle.
There is definitely a sweetness that lingers around, I guess that's the berries. It's pretty much a Gin and Tonic. Not sure I'd wear it to the office on a regular weekday but maybe on a Friday. It's very sharp and punchy.
This is one that I feel is for older gents who go on holidays to the South of France and Italy and Greece regularly. If you're in the UK like me, there's barely every a time it feels right to wear this on a normal day. It's for going sailing or going to the beach or going on a cruise ship around the Mediterranean something like that.
I used to love it, but I find it gets sticky and overly sweet in hot, high humidity weather. Spraying it on a less hot summer day is still a nice experience.
I really like it, wouldn't choose otherwise for a summer fragrance, but longevity is weak on my type of skin.
I absolutely love this one. Fresh, cool, citrusy classy. Im surpried to see the performance votes. On my skins; I get wiffs of this through the whole day. Other people notice and give compliments as well. Easily last well over 12h on my skin, seems to have decent sillage as well. I voted eternal and strong based on my experiance with it. Add that to that it smells amazing. I got a fairly big fragrance collection. This is my signature for the summer. Nothing but praise from me 9.5/10
This is my current favorite, starts with icy green lemon and turns into a gin & tonic. The TDH DNA is in the dry down when it does the dirty orange thing. This stuff cuts though the Caribbean heat and humidity like nothing else. I overspray before work (4-5 sprays) and it's still going after dinner. It definitely has a dressed up vibe.
Reminds me a bit of the California central coast... a light and cool breeze filled with juniper and coastal pines. Lovely citron at the start that hangs out, but steps back. Not a huge performer, but it doesn't need to be. It knows what it is. A great summer fragrance. I'll throw a bottle in my bag, as I'll want to apply throughout the day.
It's like a nice cold sweet Limeade and some wood. I had this fragrance for a few months but it took just today to really impress me. Although it does lack silage and performance. I had to put a good 6-7 sprays, and no i don't expect it to last more than 5 hours.
Love at first sniff. Opening Smells like pine needles/citrus with that underlying sophisticated and sexy hermes DNA.
The citrus/pine needle opening smells exactly like the candied orange in mists of time by gallagher fragrances. but hermes eau grivèe smells so much better
Strong 8/10 due to below average performance.
Got it in Canaries at a great discount. Wife just loved the sillage of it after testing in a store. I had to return to buy it.
Scent is addictive and doesn't get cloying or boring however You need to apply it heavy so 50ml makes no sense. Go for at least 100ml. It does remind the og terre but it's not as serious, 25+ unlike og being 35+. Smells light, juicy, dry, resemblance with gin is correct and you could call it a summer party scent- crowd pleasing but only within close distance. You won't turn heads with this scent but you will have an asset up your sleeve in it, if your persona draws some attention 😜
This flanker has a opening that resembles a creamy mix of soursop and yuzu. Followed by citrus peels and woody base. Very appealing and convincing fruitiness. I personally prefer the OG Terre with it's peppery and sharper opening.
7.3/10
This perfume to me is one of those special summer scents which are instantly refreshing and uplifting. Now you may say most fresh summer scents are like that. But this is in a special category within that range. Instant happiness in a bottle. The gesture of application is the most enjoyable part. There are only two others I know of that make me this happy when applying, LV Afternoon Swim and Chanel Paris Edimburg. Made for the high heat and only to be used then during the day. It has the TDH DNA. It’s brighter more effervescent, more peppery and mineral. Due to a large collection performance is a big factor to me if I am to add another bottle. But I make an exception when it comes to a scent like this. The joy is in reapplying it and smelling that magical opening.
An exquisitely crafted fragrance worthy of being a signature scent! It has swiftly become my favored choice for the summer, with an addictive quality that leaves me craving more.
10/10
while I guess I see the comparisons to Light Blue Forever.. this is so much better. I just like the Terre DNA better than that entire Light Blue line. the D&G is kind of a grapefruit bomb.. clear grapefruit smell, that stuff gives me headaches not gonna lie. This Terre Eau Givree uses Citron, so to me it smells more like lemons. Plus obviously that unmistakable Terre DNA, I like the way that this one is blended a lot, second only to the Terre Pure Parfum. It's not really cooling to me, like "Eau Givree" would imply, ("frosty water"), but can see how it is refreshing when it's hot out. I am almost done with this sample and entertaining picking up a full bottle..
Really nice fresh citrus 🍊 scent for an amazing 3 hours ! That’s it!
Love it but only wear it to short lived occasions not an all day or night affair. If it takes you an hour to get there you only got 2 hrs left of that scent. Plan accordingly…
It's good. It's exactly a mix of the two "reminds me of"...Terre and D & G Forever. This is nice but like OG Terre it's very formal/semi-formal. You need to be dressed up a bit such as for a fancy lunch. For a more casual choice, def reach for D&G Forever. I just can't classify this as a "fun in the sun" fragrance like some people here. Essentially a worthy twist on the original. 35 and over on this one.
really great Summer fragrance
Suit for my country (That can be go to 40cc in midsummer)
Juniper berry and metalic note make it more musculine.
good to have it
This is so delicious! Refreshing and great on a hot day. Am I the only one who smells a bit of ginger in this?
Very refreshing. Clean, Cold, Citrus. Longevity 1-2 hours then it becomes a skin scent for about another hour.
Overall very juicy, clean scent for summer.
8/10
I like Eau givrée. Opens up really spicy, citrusy and metallic, but after 30mins it settles down to a nice, fresh, juicy citrusy spicy woody fragrance that is perfect for the warm weather. In the dry down you have a faint 'Terre D'Hermes' (woody-vetiver aspect)' dna but does its own thing. Projection is not bad, longevity is ok, you have to re-apply during the day.
Love this, so fresh and balanced. The other TdH versions I tried were the edt and Pure Parfum. Compared to those two, this one has less pronounced smell of the vetiver it almost can stand as a new fragrance by Hermes. When I tried the first time yesterday I instantly reminded of a freshie in my collection which is Comme des Garcons Blue Cedrat. I wonder which note is similar in both fragrances, and it is the the juniper berry. While the drydown of Blue Cedrat is more daring with its musk and the wood notes, this Eau Givree stays fresh. Love it. Such an easy perfume to wear.
To me this one is an enhanced version of the original Terre. While the original has a lot of citrus notes and can be overwhelming, this one is very well balanced and rounded as the wood notes add warmth and depth to it. The overall experience is improved and the base notes after a few hours turn out lovely. The only down side to me is the performance, since the sillage is on the intimate side i would like more longevity, after a few hours you can barely notice it. The overall experience is very pleasant and i would definitely wear it, it is made with high quality ingredients and feels fresh and natural on the skin and on the nose.
@sancho11 how did you determine longevity and projection?
I have Terre d'Hermès Eau Givrée, D&G Forever, and D&G Italian Love, and I would say longevity and projection for Eau Givrée is pretty solid. Maybe you went nose blind?
Also, not everything you wear has to bring a room to tears. Most of us don't care whether you're here, therre, anywhere. Strong perfume is only going to enhance that :-)
On its own, the scent does not last nor project. But when you layer it with Acqua di Parma Oud, the two are simply sublime together
Addictive opening, very unique and intriguing. Sadly, this has seemingly no longevity/projection. Within a couple of hours I don't even smell it up close anymore. Compared to the original EDT, which lasts forever. H24 also outlasts this in the heat. I really wish it had staying power, because it's a very special scent. Won't be buying a full bottle.
Wow. This scent made me super happy for some reason. It smells absolutely beautiful. My dad didn't really like it, but I REALLY like it. The only bad thing is its longevity and projection. It becomes a skin scent after only 10 minutes for me. I would really like to buy it but the longevity is a problem because this isn't really a cheap fragrance. So do what you want to do with my review i suppose :D
I would give the scent 10/10
But longevity and projection is bad, like a 3/10
So I don't really think I'm going to get a full bottle of this sadly :(
You guys are sleeping on this one.
The opening is very refreshing, like a glass of ice-cold lemonade!
Then it slowly returns to its original Terre d'Hermes DNA with the dirty vetiver vibe.
It is still Terre d'Hermes, just the lemon/orange peel cocktail version!
Incredible release in my opinion.
Almost a 10/10
I wish the top lasted a lot longer....boy is it good! Unfortunately it fades within 5 minutes and are left with a brighter version of the EDT. I'm gonna let it sit a little longer and put it to use in the warmer weather.
On the bright side, longevity is excellent. I put 5 sprays on my shirt the other day for work in the morning (6am) and could still catch wafts through the day. Safe to say I'm getting 8+ hours.
I can only imagine it will project more in the heat....can't wait!!
Cheers!
For classic citrus fragrances this one is actually different..the citron feels more zesty than lemon and less harsh than lime ...they replaced the musk and oakmoss or ambroxanewith the metallic base which give it a big modern push yet still unique
It fits every summer occasion really..could smell it on a beach...or in office or on a date ( maybe not a wedding)
Closest thing to it is light blue forever , light blue has better performance but the Hermes is nicer and smoother and way more versatile
Eau Givree is brilliant! A juicy realistic grapefruit blast that's intoxicating and complex. Juniper berries enter in the dry down. You could bathe in it in the summer and only attract compliments. If they made a 12 ounce bottle I'd buy it!
A lighter, brighter, more tart, less dirty, less vetiver version of Terre D'Hermes EDT. Wasn't crazy about the initial citron opening but enjoyed it shortly thereafter through the mid. Longevity is weak however...I can barely smell it 2 hours later. I'll have to give it more of a try again.
Scent: 7 / Sillage: 6 / Longevity: 4
As far as fresh scents go this is a 10/10. The opening to this fragrance is so fresh, and so citrusy that it actually blows my mind a little bit; then as it develops, the woody dry down is absolutely to die for!! If this isn't the best fresh scent on the market, please tell me of something better? The only other fresh scent that has impressed me this much is Bvlgari Le Gemme Tygar, but even so I think I'd still choose Eau Givree. I'm a big fan of the Terre d'Hermes range, with intense vetiver being my signature scent; I randomly picked this up in a store when it was first released, without knowing what it was..... MIND BLOWN!
The best way to describe this is that it has the Terre d'Hermes DNA, this is unmistakably a flanker of the original, but the citrus and the freshness is turned up to 100. Sillage is pretty good, but for me the longevity is unreal for a fresh scent. I can still smell this 12 hours later, albeit the scent develops more woody over time; it's at it's best a few hours in but it's still there. Haven't really had the chance to try this in warm weather, but nevertheless I've worn this in cold British winter weather and it's still good.
Definitely for those who love the original, and maybe also for those that don't. Probably more suited for warm weather and daytime, but this is not a one trick pony, I'd wear this anytime.
Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 6/10
GORGEOUS.
that opening - with the juicy, citrus-peel vibe with a little bit of spice - my eyes literally rolled back in my head smelling this in the store. verrrrry sexy.
Immediately bought a decant to try on my skin (the temptation to buy a FB was real), love love love that juicy, photorealistic opening. unfortunately (and understandably), that part doesn't last very long on my skin and it's gone within the hour.
i'm a woman, so on my skin, i find the dry down a bit too woody and masculine for MY taste (pulling a bit mineral as well), but on a man - absolute masterpiece.
overall, would rate slightly more masculine than feminine (the opening is unisex, dry down quite masculine), average projection and average-to-poor longevity.
Actually,i have found the longevity to be pretty solid with this one,i have sprayed it early at the morning, upon leaving my home and could take occasional whiffs ten, twelve hours later. Not to mention that the weather was relatively cold,so it should be even stronger in hotter weather.I dont know about sillage but definitely its good, fresh and minimalistic take on the original.I have bought 2 ml sample and im glaud i did it.Im now considering a full bottle, its so light and easy to wear and at the same time classy, modern, nothing putting off.I have come to the conclusion that i have to include an Hermes in my collection.
What can I say other than WOW!!!! Wife loves it. This has a refreshing citrus quality. Try it out and I am sure you will not be disappointed. It was out of stock at Nordstroms when my wife and I went to get fragrances on Valentines. I wasn’t sure what I was looking for but once I saw my wife’s face when she smelled this, that’s all it took. Had to wait a week to get it delivered, but good things come to those who wait. Will be used frequently this spring and summer. A solid choice for any gentlemen out there!
Very safe office scent when you want to smell nice, but not assertive, or overly blue. Does best on a warm day. Slightly ozonic, not overly clean or aquatic. The taste when you lick an envelope, it's that... but a bit sexy.
Bought it a week ago as it was on sale as I was interested on it for a while, and I was able to test it for a whole weekend on a trip.
About the smell, starts with an obvious piercing yet refreshing lemon note reinforced by woods and these cold juniper berries vibes. Really pleasing, won't bother anyone unless they dislike wood or lemon smells for some reason. Perfect scent for a beach day or mediterranean weather.
During my trip, on a southern city in Andalucía, Spain, with temps of 10 to 21 Cº, (beautiful city filled by lemon/orange trees. No better place to test this one :]) , I noticed that the longevity on my skin is not as I'd like, as it started to wear off pretty soon. Do spray more on clothes than on skin with this one, as the scent will dissapear quickly, specially while sweating/during a hot day. It projects, it stays around, but not as other stronger scents. I had to reapply each day around lunch time (13-14PM) going out around 9-10AM. Guess it was what I had to expect for a super-citric scent.
Yes, you can wear it during the cold, but it won't last much.
Once you get used to it, you'll start to notice more the woods and the other notes rather than the lemon at the beginning, which makes the scent more pleasant in my opinion.
Will always use it for my beach days, but won't trust it for more important/serious moments.
Awesome Orangy/grapefruit scent. It's a nice flanker of the Original Terre d'Hermes, brighter, fresher with a metallic vibe.
To my opinion, the metallic vibe is nearly the same of Azzaro Chrome but with the Terre d'Hermes orangy twist!
Longevity is good 6-7 hours with good projection
Very versatile, professional and casual scent. All year round!
Appropriate for mostly everybody because it fit the younger crowd than the original.
Do I prefer this one over the original? Hard to decide!
Try it!
I do recommand this flanker!
8/10
Gorgeous grapefruit / citrus opening, minus the vetiver of the EDT. Does a really similar job for me to Chanel Allure Homme Blanche, perhaps slightly cleaner / less gourmand. Could possibly wear this year round, day or night, where-as AHB is more Summery, or perhaps on a night out (with a decant). Eau Givre seemed fairly linear on my skin, to which it sat very close after a couple of hours. Would still take the original EDT over this if I had to choose, I feel like there are no shortage of bright, citrus options out there however finding a versatile (any time, any age), vetiver based designer is less common. Whatever the case, Eau Givre does not disappoint - beautiful, classy, bright, fresh and clean.
Eau Givree is in my top three fragrance list, along with Terre de Hermes EDT. I can’t explain exactly how phenomenal this scent is. I first smelled it two months ago at Sephora. I hadn’t heard of it, so I just nonchalantly pumped a couple of sprays onto my forearm and was instantly shook. Like smelling salts shook. My eyes popped open. As many here have said, the initial top burst of juicy citron—a lemon grapefruit sort of combo, but with a hint of dirt and minerals like an organic white wine, but not wine smelling (which makes no sense)—is fu3king great. It smells very realistic. I was amazed, but I also figured it would burn off after a few minutes, because virtually all citrus fragrances I own are volatile and do the same. But no. It stays through the whole show. I absolutely sense Hermes Terre DNA in here in the sense of the dirtiness that come though a bit more as the mid and base open up. It’s very interesting to me because there’s both a linearity of the citrus through the whole thing with an unfolding of deeper notes as it wears on. It’s just so good. I ended up buying a 4.2 oz refill straight away from an online discounter because I think it’s still too early to be discounting original bottles. I bought a glass bottle w atomizer on Amazon and filled it. It was 50% cheaper per oz than buying an original bottle from anywhere. I shower myself in this. Can’t really overspray. Performance is ok. I wear this whenever the fu3k I want to feel good—day, night, bedtime—and I think it can be worn in any season. It’s icy and it gives me icier vibes in the cold Northeast winter. It’s also obviously great for summer for the same iciness. Get it.
There is a forest on a clifftop in Andalusia where my family used to camp, and a spring came out of the rocks there, fed from somewhere higher in the mountains, amongst the bushes and the bright smell of herbs, it spilled into a rock pool big enough to bathe in, fresh and clear and ice, ice cold so you came out steaming and ready to conquer the hot, dusty day and rule the world.
Eau Givrée is that feeling in a bottle.
One of the best flankers. While I was disappointed with the vetiver, this is a winner
A masterpiece when it comes to summer! I find this a little more sweet than the original terre d hermes. I love it, the citrus smell more like grapefruit once the dry down starts and the juniper berries just makes it a 10/10. I used to wear Allure Edition Blance as my summer fragrance but this one is just out of this world! Love it!!!!!
By far my favourite Terre D'Hermes flanker! It opens with a sparkling splash of fresh grapefruit soda (It is described as citron but it smells closer to grapefruit in my mind) and the melted snow off of a juniper bush in winter. Over time it develops into the earthy, gritty Terre D'Hermes DNA but the top notes remain to keep it from becoming as warm or heavy. The longevity is terrific, even the top notes last 6-8 hours and the fragrance itself lasts all day. It is certainly best suited for spring or summer but it can be worn in any season. It's classy, put together without trying too hard, and although it leans masculine it could be worn by anyone.
The opening is a blast of freshness and I mean it. It's grassy, it's green, it's the perfect amount of tartness and sweetness.
The mid is a bit musky and something that will linger on for most of the fragrance mixed with the TDH woods.
The dry down is still what makes me love the TDH line so much till date, it's something you can't stop yourself from sniffing over and over again.
The performance is a little weaker than I expected but it's a great fragrance and the quality more than compensates for it
Very similar to Eau de Rochas. I have sprayed one in each hand and both smell like a fresh and sweet lemon juice. Eau Givree smells more green though, while Rochas a little more citrusy. Great scents both of them, but if you have Eau de Rochas you don't need this. If you do like Eau Givree though but don't wanna pay the asking price, get Eau de Rochas.
Terre de Hermes Eau Givree is a citrus, aromatic and mineral fragrance.
It has a delicious citrus opening, very similar to lime, but the notes described say that it is citron, in any case it smells very good, also Hermés knows how to handle citrus notes very well. After a few minutes some spicy and herbal notes are perceived and after approximately an hour the citrus attenuates giving way to a mineral and woody phase, with the DNA of classic Terre.
Terre Eau Givree is a fragrance to be used on warm days, spring and summer, both casual and formal situations, since it has that elegance that Hermes knows how to give to its fragrances.
In terms of performance, it is perceived well for the first few hours, but then it drops to skin level, where it remains for a maximum of 8 hours, which makes it perform worse than others in the Terre line.
I liked it a little more than H24, it smells fresh, it feels of good quality, the citrus fruits are well managed, although the performance is a little fair.
Smelt it in the store today. Instantly took me back to childhood. If you are related to a Mediterranean coastal town, you know what I mean.
Opening scent smells like crushing a lemon peel. Then match this in a summer morning, idk.... I would love to get drunk sniffing this and getting high while arguing with Wilson in a remote inhabited island tho lol.
Take the ‘dirty’ orange of Terre d’Hermes and make it frozen ice-cold, fit for the warmest of days, compliments of a refreshing Yuzu/juniper combo and sheer, minimalistic woods. Hermes nailed this one, concocting an immediately noticeable and direct lineage to its pillar fragrance, while also creating something altogether different from (the now defunct) Eau Tres Fraiche.
Eau Tres Fraiche is clean—pale yellow and white citruses mingling among a green backdrop of subtle geranium, slightly bitter, floral and watery all at once. It concludes in a solid woody base of cedar. Givree is more vibrant, electric, and icy…an energized Yuzu note right at the dividing line between yellow and orange, undeniably accented with the ‘dirty’ orange of Terre d’Hermes. Its base is less obviously woody and more intended to prolong the Yuzu, over an unobtrusive, cooly mineralic spine. You could own both, enjoy both equally, and wear them with minimal redundancy. ETF is the more complex of the two, while Givree is perhaps the more functional due to its simplicity. I can see myself using this a lot in the summer as a daily wear type of fragrance, a “dumb reach,” whereas I’ll probably choose Eau Tres less frequently, saving it for when a particular mood fits. Furthermore, I can also imagine giving my regular daily wears of Terre d’Hermes a pick me up by pairing it with this new flanker. The original is one of my favorite fragrances of all time, and I love the idea of brightening it up with a shot or two of the ice-cold yuzu in Givree.
To conclude, Terre d’Hermes Eau Givree is a solid, refreshing addition to the line and worth looking at if you enjoy the original and/or are looking for a nice option with warm weather versatility. I get very good longevity from it, at least 8 hours, and it projects nicely for a decent amount of time. Hermes choice to make this fragrance an EDP versus a standard EDT was a wise one, and it’s certainly paid off with its good performance. Finally, those of you who love the original Terre but have always found it too heavy for the summer, now have the perfect alternative in the closely-related Eau Givree. I’m sure a year-round seasonal set with the Parfum, EDT, and this new flanker will be coming very soon.
Maybe it's the Iso E Super that a few reviewers below me have mentioned (and that I am perhaps anosmic to) because the only thing I get from this fragrance is an immensely potent, tart citron note. It almost has a celery-like vibe to my nose; I find it more piercing than I do fresh or invigorating. I understand that this is supposed to be the "fresh" flanker in the Terre d'Hermes line (after discontinuing the superior Eau Tres Fraiche for whatever reason), but that doesn't mean it can't have some backbone.
Needless to say, this fragrance doesn't do it for me. I'll stick with the Eau Intense Vetiver.
Scentwise, Eau Givree is my favourite amongst the WHOLE line. Yes, it’s that good. The caveat is, and I know realistic citrus fragrances aren’t supposed to last 12+ hours, this is just too weak.
Eau Givree opens very vibrant, citrusy and metallic — to my nose it gives a slight aquatic vibe at times. After 10 minutes, it gives a fizzy, almost Sprite-like nuance. Deep in the drydown, it gradually becomes more and more similar to the other Terre d’Hermes versions.
It is an absolute banger for spring and summer. If you live in a tropical country like me, boy ain’t this a gem.
Unlike other designated high-heat scents like D&G Light Blue Eau Intense or ADG Profondo, Eau Givree is highly versatile. I wouldn’t mind wearing this in a dressier occasion, as long as the temperature fits.
Yea, the performance is weak — after 15 minutes you have to dunk your nose into your skin to smell it — but hey, the smell is too good, you just have to be ok with re-spraying.
Awesome scent.
First the good: This is a vast improvement on the repulsive Eau Intense Vetiver, and the sparkly grapefruit rind (citron) opening is promising with what seem to be high quality natural ingredients. The dry-down serves you a mouthwatering fruit sorbet tempered by green and peppery notes, which actually works well in spring/summer. However, this doesn't project much and it quickly becomes a skin scent. It is a far cry from the opulently exquisite Terre d'Hermès DNA, which is a shame. Over Eau Givrée I actually prefer the alas discontinued Eau Très Fraîche as a zesty summer banger, or the even more refined Voyage d'Hermès, both of which inherit the regal Terre d'Hermès genealogy.
Is Eau Givrée worth the price I paid? Certainly not. Will I get another bottle? Highly unlikely - definitely not at the price I paid for it. Although an altogether crowd-pleasing scent I would recommend you to try before you buy, as it is rather expensive for a poorly performing, though extremely agreeable light, fizzy citrus virgin cocktail. That said, I will finish my bottle.
A bright citrus scent. Opening is impressive. It's very citrussy; a lovely, natural, sparkling grapefruit blasts off the skin. The zingy citrus becomes quieter around 30mins (the entire life of the fragrance remains aromatic & "sherberty",) there's also vetiver emerging from behind the citrus.
Though it's not as earthy as the original Terre d'hermes there is an olfactory resemblance here, there's also a faint woodyness from the midpoint.
Overall a very memorable citrus, and a much more wearable and appealing fragrance than the original.
Suits both men and women, anyone aged 20+, spring and summer probably best but inoffensive so year round use acceptable.
Performance is good.
Like the reviewer below me, I, too, thought this was a ladies scent, and I was pleasantly surprised upon the first spray: grapefruit and juniper berries are front and center, and I usually don't like citrusy scents. I liked it enough, in fact, that I bought it a few minutes ago. I wore the fragrance all day at work, and it lasted all day on me. I'm interested to see what my husband thinks of it, and I'm interested to smell it on him.
I got this with a set of free samples from Sephora and tried it thinking it was for women. I like it a lot, the grapefruit and juniper are zesty and very nice. I probably wouldn’t wear it but I think it’s very sexy for men.
It’s winter, I’m female and I am loving this scent right now. It must be the juniper that gives me the winter feels - like the smell of fresh cut trees for firewood covered by some cold powdery snow. It smells a fair bit grapefruit-y as well. Love it!
As a lady, I hope my review is helpful for the gentlemen :) It's a light, very peppery and dry citron. I would say it's an inoffensive, uplifting and easy-going scent. Nothing complicated. I can see that worn in the spring, mostly at daytime. It's ok, but nothing to seduce or showing character dear gentlemen. Also, I cannot see this as a signature-scent. I would also say it's office-friendly. Any age.
I have to second the reviewer below me mentioning ISO E Super, a note that I'm very sensitive to and quite frankly turned off by.
I know this is one of the most celebrated releases of this year, but to me, it doesn't hold a candle to the original TDH. I have two test trips next to me, one with Eau Givrée and the other is the OG EDP. The original is way juicier, fuller, and more citrusy. I find the Givrée to be drier and more woody, but it's a specific woodiness that I find off-putting: that typical 'pencil shavings', in-your-face type of woodiness. Immediately it reminds me of Dior Homme 2020, and I think it's the ISO E Super that gives it both that quality. Not for me and prefer the original, but I can understand those who like it.
This should be called Terre d'Hermes Eau d’Iso E Super.
This is not a citrus fragrance. It’s a synthetic wood fragrance with a bit of citrus. In the opening I get a grapefruit-type citrus that comes off thin to my nose. The woodiness also comes out immediately and very quickly dominates. I get tons of Iso E Super or some similar synthetic. In the dry down I get a tiny bit of juniper but only if I really smell for it.
The level of woodiness in this is really off putting. I find this to be more woody than the original TdH by quite a bit. It feels like I’m sitting in a cloud of this stuff with 1 spray, overwhelmed by this slightly scratchy, oppressive wood scent. It is very weird the way it projects. It is hard to smell directly but the wafted smell is powerful.
Some people are anosmic to Iso E Super. Maybe I’m exceptionally sensitive to it and that’s why it’s so overwhelming? Regardless, this is a hard no for me. I find this actively unpleasant to wear.
Reviewing this just to say that I love smelling it on my man! It just smells really good. Citrus+earthy notes+minerals. Love it. It’s not challenging to be around, just grounding and uplifting at the same time.
Why is there always such a high volume of projection and longevity complaints about citrus-forward fragrances? If you want realistic citrus, you have to deal with the fact that it's not going to project 7 feet and last 16 hours, c'mon now...
Beutiful citrus scent, opening is such nice, but... it vanishes too fast. Poor longevity and sillage.
Smells nice when the dry down settles in. Givree is Light and spicy. Masculine. Last all day as a skin scent. Grapefruit lemony mineral fresh as if vitamins mixed in. If people didn't appreciate Eau Fraiche as it was discontinued, Givree will most likely be discontinued also in the future. Eau Fraiche is better
Just got this around black Friday in Sephora and I fell in love it at first smell.
I am picky when it comes to fragrances because I don't wanna waste money and I got this around black Friday for half the price and i started to love this fragrance. Grapefruit and lemon I first smelled on this when i first tested it on my skin and i had a moment with the fragrance. I Had some people look at me after I tested it and they went to test it.
My longevity on this fragrance is about 6 to 8 hours and on my other family members is less.
Projection is good in the first 2 hours but then it becomes a close scent to the skin.
If you manage to find this fragrance on a sale or deal it's a 100% must buy tbh
I cannot believe how short the longevity is.
If you've ever smelled neroli portofino by Tom Ford you will know the initial and most interesting part of the fragrance is over within half an hour. It's a citrus bomb that is eventually replaced by a lotion-like skin scent.
This is similar, it's a citrus bomb that hints to Grapefruit and Lemon and Citron, and the Timur adds an interesting excitement during the opening.
They do an extremely good job for a specific time period of making this flanker surprisingly reminiscent of the original EDT. About 10 mins after spraying, and then for about 10-15 mins after that, they are very similar.
But the similarities end there.
During the opening, the sour and tart notes are pleasant and very high pitched, reminding me of Melissa as well as Citron.
After the perfume is sprayed and has been drying down for 30+ minutes, it rapidly accelerates into a skin scent. By your 2nd hour it is nearly entirely gone. Nobody else will smell it, you may not even be able to.
This makes this fragrance fun to smell at Nordstrom, where you get all the benefit of the citrus explosion and the fun peppery moment.
But don't buy it. I'm giving a medium score just because the opening is fun and I enjoyed it. This is more like art than clothing to be frank, you can't really wear this.
It's oddly warm today in New York City (77 degrees in mid-November?) and I needed something invigorating to perk me up. This eau de parfum, with its grapefruit and pepper opening, did the trick! Fresh, spicy and just a little sweet, it's a lovely, stimulating tonic.
Like the edt, but edt-ier. Smells almost exactly like the edt in the dry down however more unisex and it's just way stronger. In fact I've found that one of the problems with the edt is it's fairly weak in performance. Eau Givree is beast mode, and kinda not in the best way at times. It can get cloying and headache inducing
Anyway the opening is exquisite. It's like a beautiful grapefruit, like the purest smelling grapefruit known to man, with the DNA of the edt in the background as a faint but fortifying foundation. At times in the first 30 minutes even the og DNA is lost in the just pure straight grapefruit. Sadly that fades and you're left with an almost feminie version of the original DNA only after about an hour. That's a loose statement because the edt is so masculine that lots of fragrances would be feminine leaning in comparison.
To my nose this smells around 80-85% similar to the edt in the dry down. So in a sense it is probably redundant to buy it if we're only judging by that earthy original Hermes DNA smell. However as I said, this is pretty beastmode with great sillage. Way stronger than the edt, and that grapefuit note in the opening is to die for. Is it worth it? I'd say if you have money to throw around and you love the original then hands down no contest get this. If you're on a budget then it's mostly redundant unless you hate the performance of the edt or felt the edt was too old school mascluine
This is a fall fragrance btw and shines in that regard
Now the two major differences between this and the edt is instead of that dark burnt orange you have a bright and pure almost essential oil esque grapefruit note. I mean it really has a killer grapefruit note in the opening. Cannot stress how pure that grapefruit note smells in the beginning stage. Literally like busting open a grapefruit, even more pure grapefruit than that if such a thing is possible. Again however, that note fades in about 30-45 minutes and you're left with mostly the original DNA with hints of the grapefruit mixed in. The second thing is to some noses this could come across as very feminine, we could say it's even unisex I suppose. It's so close to the original yet somehow way less manly. Not necessarily in a bad way. I imagine some will love this one, and some will love the rough edginess of the edt more
If you're looking to impress the opposite sex, I don't think they would find this quite as sexy on a man as the edt. To each their own, but the edt is definitely more rugged and unapologetically masculine.....and more old school, whereas this one is more metrosexual, youthful, and new school. But if you're a fragrance lover then you'll love this. If you're out to impress ladies then this may not be it for you. They'll likely like this but in a way where they'll want to buy it for themselves and not just rip your clothes off if that makes sense. But who knows maybe some will like it on a younger man. It could be the edt is not the right choice for a guy in his 20's because it's just too mature
This is by no means a panty dropper fragrance, rather just a very classy fall option that is a nice change up. Not an everyday runner in my humble opinion. But on a beautiful fall day with the chill wind and the leaves falling this sparks a certain nostalgic mood that is irreplaceable. I imagine this could be a signature scent for a lot of people for a few seasons and will bring back nice memories later on if worn in the right contexts
To summarize Eau Givree is dexterously youthful and young in a fun way that successfully retains the original DNA and some might not tell the difference in a side by side to how close it is to the untrained nose. Idk how they did that but they did. They took something quintessentially masculine and mature and toned it down to be more fun and young offering, while still retaining the DNA baseline maturity somehow. Anyway it's basically the edt for 20 year olds. You couldn't wear the edt out to a club or to go dancing, but this one you could. But as I said if you're a fraghead you'll love it either way

This stuff is beautiful. Its like Cold ice added with Eau Tres Fraiche version and added grapefruit.
A glorious blast of citron in the opening that is a little sweet, a little tart, a little bitter. The juniper is quite present and adds a perfect green aromatic and herbaceous touch. I'm not sure if I get any of the Timur pepper, either my nose isn't refined enough to pick it up or it is very well-blended into the fragrance. After the citron and juniper fade, I'm left with a woody (undoubtably Iso E Super) and slightly metallic scent. That metallic-ness of the mineral notes turns almost tart on my skin, giving me something similar to the citron opening and the illusion that it is citrusy all the way through. Very cool and refreshing and easy to wear, this is perfect for the heat of summer. In my opinion, given the notes, I think this would work beautifully as an uplifting and aromatic cold weather scent. I look forward to testing it this coming winter.
Gorgeous initial burst of smell tragically let down by extremely poor longevity and sillage. Gone within the hour, if not even less. So sad as it could have been my No.1
The notes on this fragrance give a really good indication of how this fragrance smells. It's bright, fresh citron rind up top. THIS IS EXTREMELY SOUR CITRUS & RIND FORWARD so if that’s not your thing, don’t buy this… The Timur gives this a slightly salty grapefruit like accord so lots of citrus. I do get the juniper which gives it a gin-like effect which is what I think is giving this an effervescent quality. I'm also smelling vetiver in here which is not listed in the notes. Not really getting any mineral notes other than the saltiness. This is a very straightforward scent. Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche has been replaced with this. I like both, but there's a cumin-like note Eau Tres Fraiche thats not my favorite and it has been either removed or very toned down in this which like.
Longevity is somewhat dismal. Projection is good for the first 45 minutes to an hour and then sits closer to the skin without fully becoming a skin scent for few hours. Citrus fragrances tend be a little volatile so this is where the performance may take a hit on certain types of skin. Is this worth retail ($137 for 100ml)? I would think most would think not. I had a bunch of Macy's Star Rewards so I got a bunch of money off and this was the only reason i didn't wait for this to go to discounters. Test before you buy, the citrus on this may not be for everyone. I really like it, but to me its not really mind-blowing in any way but definitely a solid release.
Before I had the chance to try it, I saw some reviewers (well, youtubers) sayin' it different from the rest of the line, didn't remind them of the original, had no vetiver, etc. Well, either my bottle is fake, which I doubt, or this reviewers don't even know how to recognise vetiver, or the Terre line for all that matters. The opening is indeed more bright, efervescent, less "bad orange" smelling, but otherwise you're in for full Terre D'Hermès territory. And it's simply fantastic, as always with this line. Though fresher and easier to wear compared to the original, it has one of the better performances of them all on my skin. Everything I could've hoped for a fresher take on Terre. On my rotation for life!
The scent's quality is new to me, It's fresh despite the fact that it has an old-fashioned feel to it. It's clean and tastefully put together. I couldn't stop smelling myself, How it makes me feel is wonderful. This is a clear instance where the less is more principle was applied to full effect. I am definitely adding this to my collection.
The first spray is a suckerpunch of freshly peeled citrus zest. It assaults you without mercy, knocks you onto your ass, and yet it's the most delicious, mouth-watering citrus you've ever smelled. Sweet and full of life.
Where the EdT had a more aggressive, slightly annoying and daring citrus in it that made your presence known to everyone. This one is a more laid back, sweet "Hey what's up" type of deal. It still smells great, it's still elegant, fresh, powerful. But with a bit cooler identity. The drydown reminds me a lot of EdP version of Terre'd Hermes, but sweeter and more rounded.
I recommend you smell it first if you already own EdT or EdP of Terre'D Hermes, for the rest? This is probably the safest and best version of it to blindbuy.
