- The current pro-Russian hacktivist campaign is now the largest conducted against Australia.
- New Zealand saw some hacktivist activity from Anti-Israel Hacktivist groups.
- The ZircoDATA ransomware attack by BlackBasta had nothing to do with the Russian government.
Despite the fact that pro-Russian hacktivist attacks are having limited impact on Australian networks, I would suggest Australian network defenders and analysts still maintain Situational Awareness of the situation.
Cyber Army Russia Reborn has strong links to Russian government hacking outfits. In particular it might be wise to cover off on the latest information related to APT44 (Sandworm) if feeling extra precautious.
