Australia DDoS attacks Round 2.
Cyber Army Russia Reborn and Hacknet have returned, and this time conducted attacks during Australian Daytime hours.
The first two attacks were against two of Australia's largest Ports.
The Port of Melbourne website.
The Port of Fremantle website.
(These continue to be targets who have been attacked before by pro-Russian groups)
These attacks took place early afternoon, so both sites are working at time of posting.
The 3rd target is a program offered by the Australian Geospatial Intelligence Organisation. An Australian government intelligence organisation. The site is working at time of posting.
Regardless of the success of these attacks, the intent they showcase is a keen appetite of Russian state aligned groups to attempt to disrupt Australian society via DDoS attacks and are indicative of geopolitical motivated hacktivist activity.
