Dell XPS leak lists Intel Nova Lake in 2027

Today, we are sharing details from a leaked Dell presentation for the next-gen XPS series.

We came across a presentation by chance while searching for information on current Dell XPS laptops. It seems someone has shared the entire product development presentation, which spans 300 pages and goes deep into every aspect of the laptop’s design process, including major components, issues, and challenges.

While the presentation is strictly about the XPS laptop powered by a Qualcomm X Series processor, one of the first slides reveals Dell’s plans for the next 3 years. This is the first presentation that lists new Panther Lake and Nova Lake laptops.

According to the XPS roadmap, Dell is planning to refresh its XPS 16 “Diablo” and XPS 14 “Pista” laptops with Arrow Lake-H processor in 2025. At the same time, NVIDIA is expected to launch its new GENxx architecture (presumably RTX 50 Blackwell), which will also be used for this XPS update.

The XPS 13 “Tributo” which has already been released with Meteor Lake-H28, will first be updated to Qualcomm Snapdragon X series (10 and 12 cores) and later (around August/September) to Intel Lunar Lake-MX CPUs. That said, this is the first known laptop to feature Core Ultra 200V.

In 2026, Dell will once again update the Diablo chassis with Panther Lake-H processor and will introduce two new laptops: XPS 14 “Huracan” with Panther Lake-Px40 and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Gen2 expected to hit 40W TDP. Alongside this update, XPS 13 “Divo” laptop targeting half of that TDP.

In short, this document claims:

  • Intel Lunar Lake-MX arriving in August/September 2024
  • Intel Arrow Lake-H arriving in February/March 2025
  • Intel Panther Lake-H in February/March 2026
  • Intel Nova Lake Q1 2027

The document lists GeForce mobile architecture and their refreshes. However, as we know, there is no refresh of the RTX 40 series yet for laptops. In fact, nothing suggests there will be one, given that Intel has already launched its 14th Gen Core and Intel Core Ultra 100 laptop series. In any case, the document is from August 2023, so there are almost certainly changes to the schedules.
