One of the best fragrances in my collection. The mix of burned sugar with Saffron that gets more vanilla centric the longer it dries down makes this my favorite Sweet fragrance for males. But guess what, there is this understated metal note that also follows it that balances out the sweetness and makes this a unisex masterpiece to my nose. Performance is great in all regards and if I had to describe it in 3 words it would be Heaven in a bottle.

IDK but it smells so simple i have had this fragrance for like 4 days i don't agree with the most of the notes but i've heard that i should let it on the shelf with no cap for like 2 weeks for me i like the scent but i think u could get something better with this price value

The projection and sillage are moderate to heavy with Instant Crush Mancera. I noticed that oil was left on my skin after spraying. None of that bothers me in the least as I expected it to be strong. I actually wanted that, after all it is Mancera! It doesn't matter to me if it is a male or female scent because if I likes it, then I wears it! Now I'm wondering if I've gone nose blind trying to decipher this scent because it is so complex in formulation. Initially, I truly was hoping, praying, and thinking as I had unboxed the package today saying oh yes, I am hardly wait because I am really going to love wearing this scent. Such a beautiful gold bottle with a magnetic cap in a lovely gold bag. The brand stamp does appear to be genuine and this was bought from my usual trustworthy company. What does Inter Development Infusion mean that is stamped on the bottom though? I was so damned excited simply because of the name Instant Crush Mancera and thinking that this is going to be a strong sweet Fanta orange vanilla opening going into a hippy like spicey sandalwood / patchouli afternote due to the note components involved. I spray, I sit, I wait, but there is just this sweet smokey spice after an ever so slight citrus open. I'm thinking is this what BR540 actually smells like as so many have stated in their reviews? I've never bothered to experience BR540 because of all of the hype, and now I probably really don't want to. I spray Instant Crush on a tissue and sniff contemplating am I perhaps missing something here? Is it my skin chemistry affecting the mix? I wait longer and sigh reminding myself that this scent has won an award. Now I'm wondering is it a bad batch? It's 2023. How is it even possible that the combination of some of my most favorite perfume notes are only producing the smell of sweet light spice smoke? I despise smoke and leather scents. Part of me says give Crush a chance, just wait because this is probably just going to be one of those scents that is going to react differently and individually with each person who is wearing it. Ok, now I am going to go get a shower next and re-spray. She better not haunt me tonight while I sleep! I'm obsessed in the shower thinking where is the sweet sparkling orange, the bite of ginger, the wistful patchouli, the dark spice of rose, the lush vanilla, the creamy spicey sandalwood? Those are stand out scents in the real world of perfume. What has kidnapped them in the mix? Is there a heavy note of saffron or amber wood takeover or some unknown creepy oakmoss in there that is strangling my favorites and masking them? Why are reviewers smelling something unusual that isn't even in there? Is this perfume challenging me to wear it as a female in public to get a response? Game on, let's see what happens! I'll even throw in my own challenge by spraying a towel and seeing what I detect on it the next day. Maybe we should call it Unanswered Questions not Instant Crush!

a strange one, but i adore it. all the reviews, the bottle, make u think its going to be a regular sweet vanilla fragrance, but i was confused upon checking fragranticas listed accords. receiving a 12ml decant of this, i now understand this fragrance, when i first sprayed it, i wasnt blown away, however the nuclear projection and 24hour longevity made me start loving this fragrance. moving into winter, i need a full bottle of this, although it is quite feminine, people around me also loved this scent. i would receive questions 8hours after appliance asking if i had just sprayed a cologne on, keep in mind these people were atleast 10 metres away. I this fragrance thrilling, and refuse to tell people the name only because of how strong it is. I think all fragrances $100aud+ should be this strong, especially niche brands. however, i wouldnt stand out anymore :(
Scent - 8.5/10
Longevity - 10/10
Projection - 10/10
Value for money - 10/10

P.S: Probably not a blind-buy.

bogidimitrova

You get a musky vanilla with a hint of orange. Do not blind buy, it is very specific and not for everyone. It is strong.

share

Gladys&Glynnis

This one is radioactive. Beware, it does not wash off. 50% intoxicating and 50% vile. Like other BR540 clones and interpolations, I smell sweet cinnamon Christmas cookies and pine forests (though the notes would not suggest this). But I also get cheap cologne and whiffs of drunk vomit. I can’t stop sniffing my skin but I’m also partially revolted. I don’t see this being a crowd pleaser at all. But it’s beautiful in its complexity and its inherit challenge to wear. Leans very masculine to me. I will of course wear it somewhere.

share

oofbear123

I get touched while wearing it.

Kaxq

Very airy but not at all weak. This stuff projects hard and it lasts forever. It has a "florally metal" note that works really well in my opinion. Everything else in the fragrance however, is crazy sweet. A lot of people would like this but I don't think I could ever wear it with how sweet it is. Pretty versatile too but maybe only use 1-2 sprays lol

share

Dior Sausage

If you wear this and have convinced yourself this is something you actually want to smell like, you have lost your way. Your nose has become sullied after years of smelling endless fragrances to the point you've forgotten the primary purpose of wearing a fragrance. I sprayed a sample once on the back of my hand and it's the only thing I've ever received negative comments on. Nasty burnt plastic bag.

this is amazing, makes me imagine a golden sparkly vanilla ice cream with a hint of orange

Yeah I can confirm this stuff is legit. It's atomic in its power and could choke out a Horse if you're not careful. Beautiful saffron and ginger sweetened with citrus which I'll admit is a little too potent in the immediate spray (my nostrils were actually tingling after a while and I felt buzzed like I'd been smelling paraffin) but it's the drydown when the magic happens....just a sexy gorgeous high quality fragrance that announces "yeah...I'm here...look at me bitches". Lasts forever too
I wore it to work, came home had a shower and I could still smell it on my wrists..... THAT'S power....my first Mancera frag and I'm looking forward to trying more.....

share

jazzlover

Honestly, I love this fragrance so much on the opening it smells like BR540 and I think it smells absolutely fabulous definitely leans towards being a daytime fragrance and definitely leans towards warmer weather, but regardless the opening of saffron, and the bottom notes really ties this together. 10/10

share

TonyG

Literally just got this in the mail.....I know you have to smell a scent for a few days before judging it but immediately got a WOW from this stuff. Alot spicier/gingery than I thought it'd be but the saffron is gorgeous in the opening and is just ...mmmmmmmmm. Very sparkly, juicy citrus....I can kinda see how its compared to BK 540 but they're not the same at all. BK 540 is ALL sweetness but this is sweet with a nice spice background with some woodiness in there too. I'll do another review when it dries down but so far it's beautiful.......

John_Barry.Smith

Better than arabians Tonka, this smells amazing.

This smells like I've smlled it a million times before, I do like it though. It smells so much like God of Fire - but I like Instant Crush better. It's that one you will wear to a food market with bad smoke smells, putrid cheeses but then someone comes along with Instant Crush bringing a whiff of fresh air and pleasantness to the setting. Love it! Cuts though and attention grabbing. It's also flirty. It's super fressssssssssssssh and aldehydic. Saffron is strong too :D

Edit on my review:
This is literally a beast. Just expect to be noseblind in couple of minutes. Stays 3days on clothes with moderate sillage. Performance is good at night time with below 17°c temperature. A bit feminine for me but still a beast for men.

Smells terrible and synthetic very cloying

Smell 3/10
Longevity 8/10
Projection 10/10 (fills rooms)

I fully agree with @rb12391 here it’s not worth copping. Decant first don’t blind buy.

share

carlozzi

Idk, but mine's not loud. I expected it to be loud and long lasting as everyone is saying. Probably just a bad batch🫠🥲 Last 4 hrs on me I really don't know why. Does it need maturation?

share

rb12391

Uninspired, synthetic, sweet bomb.

Smells like the hoard of screaming teens girl at the mall but on steroids.

Another day, another Baccarat dupe. Can we all collectively move on from this profile?
Longevity is insane; lasts roughly a week if you happen to get it on fabric.. so if you love it, I guess that's a plus.

Instant Saffron and Patchouli. Bold, daring, exotic. Unfortunately, not me. Leans masculine.

This fragrance is absolutely stunning. Upon smelling it you are immediately hit with an incredible sweetness coming from the beautiful vanilla notes aswell as some slight woody aromas. The floral mid and top notes make this fragrance stand out in a room full of others. The amber in this fragrance is immaculate. No matter what, this fragrance just becomes even more pleasant. The sillage is strong but not uncomfortable, it is just right. It stands out for a really long time and makes people fall in love.
An absolute 100/10 fragrance.

Jadelynn

Agree with @Stinkystench and all the other reviewers who said this is NOT for hot climates. I live in Hawai'i and tried about 20% of a 1 mL sample in the evening and it is still too much. The fragrance itself is beautiful, but the very definition of too much of a good thing. Within minutes it becomes cloying and it stays that way for HOURS, in your face and refusing to be ignored. It's... a lot.

share

Thymiik

Upon first encountering this scent, I was immediately drawn to its saffron and jasmine opening. It enveloped me in elegance, like a whispered secret in a bustling crowd. The amber wood and oakmoss base notes provided a rich, comforting depth a warm embrace on a chilly evening.

Here’s the twist: While I adore its scent, I find it unwearable for everyday use. Why? Because Instant Crush demands attention. It’s not your casual office scent or daytime pick-me-up. Instead, I reserve it for special occasions or evenings out. Picture a candlelit dinner, a black button shirt with a luxurious watch, and the lingering trail of this fragrance—it’s a statement waiting to be made.

And that’s precisely why I love it. Instant Crush is a hidden treasure, waiting for those moments when you want to leave an indelible mark. So, if you seek a daring and unforgettable fragrance, try Instant Crush. Just be prepared for its intensity—it’s a love affair with a scent that lingers long after you’ve left the room.

Don't use this in temperatures over 20 degrees celcius.
I got a decant and sprayed it once. I live in the Caribbean. It's hot here.
This one is waaay too sweet for me. Cloying, overpowering and almost impossible to wash off.
Not a fan.

My Personal favorite from the house of Mancera. An Incredibly sweet and rich fragrance that is seductive yet strong. Unfortunately, wearing this at anytime outside of winter/fall unless it is unusual cold is a death sentence by suffocation. Moderate Projection with a good/long lasting longevity. In any avid collectors collection this peice is a necessity in my opinion. Great Blind Buy.

share

Tay_huggs

This is nice...for a man. It definitely has the profile of an MFK perfume which I was surprised about. The saffron, sandalwood, and the amberwood gives the perfume a male sophistication in my opinion, which is nice, but not what I was looking for.

share

Genetos

For me, this is the perfect amount of sweetness. Baccarat rouge is too sweet and feminine and so is atomic rose by initio. This smells like atomic rose but tweaked a bit towards men more with the woody notes. Really enjoy it - 9/10

share

katatuulikki

I like this perfume but it leans bit masculie for me. I would love it if a man smelled like this! It's interesting because some say it's too feminine for them. Majority of people seem to consider this unisex though. The opening reminds me of Arabian's Tonka by Montale but the drydown is different. This for me isn't as sweet, this is somehow sharper. Great longevity and projection!

share

SMELLYNIGGER

I immediately loved this cologne upon smelling it for the first time. I put it on my hand before going to work, and after my 7 hour shift, I could still smell it! I also went to my girlfriend and immediately upon walking thru the door she said I smell great. Although I don't smell a lot warm spiciness, to me it feels more floral, with hints of vanilla and very powdery. What I will say it does smell a bit feminine to me, but it's very strong so that might overpower that feeling.
Great fragrance, but not for people that are looking for a very masculine scent. But you will get compliments for it, if that's what you want.

Gorgeous saffron note trailed by rose and jasmine with a hint of patchouli. There is a warm amber wood and creamy sandalwood accord with vanilla, musk a touch of oak moss. This is a warm, marshmallow sweet fragrance balanced out by the woody notes. Definitely reminds me of BR540 but less medicinal

share

s1llyvxidie

It’s honestly just marshmallows paired up with flowers to create this very sweet scent. I literally don’t smell half the stuff that’s listed on the notes like the warm spicy note, hopefully there’s nothing wrong with mine. This fragrance is very powdery and has a slight hint of wood on the base notes. And for some reason it’s sticky on my skin? but anyways it’s not a bad scent.

This perfume smells like Dubai; luxurious, warm and loud.

Scent is very unique. Definitely the best by Mancera. Sillage and longevity is beast.

wowowow
and again wow

Never smelled BR540 so I do not mind if they are similar. I like this a a lot. It is not overly sweet for me, it's woody, fresh, sweet, some citrus and some bitterness.

It lasts sooo long. I can smell it in my jacket even though I did not spray my jacket, only the wrists. And the sillage, so intoxicating! IMO you can wear it any time of the year, at night.

You may skip this, it's just my personal story with the perfume: I encountered this for the first time while wandering the old town in Syros, Greece, a breezy summer night. I followed the trail and located a couple and asked the girl what she was wearing. Turns out it was the guy.
Anyway, I always go back to Ano Syros castle when I smell it :)

BR540 I can see it
But like I always say I like it in other perfumes until I start to clearly see BR540 only

So this is yummy but I dont like the citrus note

And I dont like it when I can clearly smell br540 dry down

Smells luxurious to me, too bad the more I wear this perfume the less I like it till I start to avoid using it. Maybe you can learn something here that this is not a safe buy perfume.

My notes about this perfume:

-Depend on what region you live in this perfume to my nose got bad chemistry with hot weather so keep that in mind.

-It's one of the perfumes like lots of people say you go nose blinded to it fast. it is still there judging from the good longevity.

-About the performance it is not bad but it is not a radiant scent to me. it's like other may catch a gentle whiff of the perfume and it does not smell harsh despite the spicy notes in it.

I would pick Cedrat Boise over this one :)

Yeah this one is good! When I first smelt it from the sample lid, I thought oh, its pretty much just Baccarat Rouge & was a little let down. Not that Baccarat is a bad frag or anything, just that lots of women wear it in my area & I don't want to be thought of as wearing a ladies perfume lol. When you actually wear it however, it doesn't smell that similar to Baccarat & the scent bubble it gives off I find to be more masculine than the aforementioned & it smells pretty damn awesome. It didn't really take me long to decide on putting a bottle on my buy list. Extremely pleasant.

My friend bought a sample of this fragrance and I absolutely fell in love with the way it smelled. This is a perfect starter niche fragrance. it is sweet but not in a way you would be used to. The notes that I mainly get in it is floral flowers with the perfect mix of vanilla not to mention the creaminess. The only thing I would say to do when applying is do not spray more than 3 sprays on you. It has great silage and longevity. for me it is a 9.9/10.

Noses work funny. When I spray BR540, I think of burnt sugar and candy floss. It creates a super sweet sugary cloud of fluff. I don’t get any Ambroxan or wood.

However, with Instant Crush I mostly pick up wood, lemon, and something a bit bitter (possibly saffron). Not for me, unfortunately.

share

taylorcake1

I was so excited to get my Instant Crush travel spray in the mail, it ticks all the boxes of things I like. But there’s something in here that just irks me so badly! I wish I could put my finger on it. I usually love saffron, could it be the ginger, or the amberwood? I like BR 540 so I wonder what’s different here. When I sniff the atomizer I frown, cant bring myself to spray it on skin because it’s so strong and yucky to me.
If you like it keep rocking it! If you’re curious, I suggest sampling first :)

I don't see this as super sweet as most other people on my skin this is a masculine woody floral vanilla scent it reminds me of Versace Eros EDT in a way wouldn't overspray this stuff though i sprayed it once on my wrist and its pretty much STUCK in my nose.

share

fragheadny

Super sweet, gingery, saffron-y, floral heaven. Beautiful scent trail that lingers forever. I can see the similarities to BR540, but I much prefer Instant Crush. BR540 feels more thick and creamy while IC has more of an airy quality, probably coming from the ginger and citrus notes.

share

doc_strangelife

The last time I tried this I sprayed it on paper because I remember how they only way you can get this off your skin is to remove your skin. Headache inducing, booming sweetness. I don't know how this passes for unisex much less masculine. I threw it in the kitchen trash so I couldn't smell it in this room. I went to the kitchen a while later and could still smell it so I threw it in the outside garbage. No birds have dropped out of the sky yet so there is some limitation to the projection.

Although Mancera Instant Crush and Montale Arabians Tonka share several similarities, primarily due to their composition and use of common fragrance notes. Both fragrances belong to the oriental fragrance family, characterized by warm, spicy, and resinous accords. Key shared notes include tonka bean, vanilla, and spices such as cinnamon and cloves, which contribute to their cozy and inviting scent profiles. Additionally, both fragrances may contain elements of oud wood, adding a rich and woody depth to the composition. the similarities in their notes and overall scent profiles result in a comparable aroma, making Mancera Instant Crush reminiscent of Montale Arabians Tonka. me personally, i enjoy Mancera more because of the slight floral feel i get that is refreshing.

Two years ago i gave this to my boyfriend because i just couldn't handle it myself.

It was outrageously powerful (almost radioactive) …strange ….and extremely masculine.

I liked it, indeed i found it extremely intriguing…but i felt uncomfortable wearing it myself.

Alas, boyfriend never wears it (hes not into fragrances like i am).

I finally found the bottle in his stuff this weekend and i tried it again.

AND… this baby is coming back home with me.

This has mellowed out in two years.

Its irresistible now.

I LOVE IT!

Perfectly unisex.

The only way i can describe it:

It smells like some kind of artisan brown sugar & ginger oil body scrub.

Like you had a spa, and you feel marvelous, and the smell of ginger, essential oil, and sugar are still radiating off your skin.

These types of fragrances are like Uggs.

Played out for many, understandably, and i thought they were played out for me, too.

But for those who love them, it doesn't matter, because they are too cozy to resist.

This is my favorite amongst them all. By far.

As well, now that this has mellowed in the two years since i purchased it, its absolutely perfect for warm weather. Its all weather perfume, in fact.

Smells like a ginger-ale vanilla float on a hot day, both refreshing and comforting.

LOVE.

Cant stop wearing it. Ive worn it two days in a row, which is rare for me.

Super sweet, almost like (joop) super rosy and that's why it's a pass for me. If they made more dry and got rid of the rose, made it a bit more masculine. Then it'll be buy worthy. but as of right now, peace out ✌🏾

Grate profile for the alphabetical community lol.
Just a joke 😃

UPDATE UPDATE
SO, almost immediately after posting my initial thoughts this darn thing changed lol .
The sweetness and the rose does settle down and now ohhh now it's speaking my language. Its more woody and almost sued like 👍🏾 this is working it's magic on me and I'm sure it has more to say the more it dries down 😉

Got a bottle and loved how it smelled but was super unimpressed by the performance, however I shortly realized I was just going nose-blind. No joke, this lasts 24+ hours on my skin, and stuck to me even after showering. It projects for a solid 10 hours as well. Only issue is finding an occasion to wear this just because of how strong this is lol. DO NOT OVERSPRAY

share

Khushi95

I don’t know why everyone says this i a crowd pleasing scent because in my opinion this is one of the hardest fragrances to wear. I just don’t reach for it ever as there aren’t many situations for which this is suitable. Thats the only con of this fragrance in my opinion. Other than this the performance of the fragrance is fantastic. I do get the citruses n sandalwood n little bit of the white florals. It takes sometime to appreciate the fragrance particularly the sandalwood note. Tbh I find this perfume quite redundant and you can do without this. For me its not worth the hype.
P.s. this is not a BR540 dupe…only 5% of it mildly resembles BR540.

chowder.man

i was indifferent to it the first couple of wears, but i'm starting to really like it.

the flowers in this absolutely shine. the saffron (which is usually paired with nutmeg, a combination that makes any perfume an instant pass for me) is just amazing here.

the performance on this stuff is crazy as well, like 5 hours after applying, the people just standing around me can still smell this stuff. it projects and lasts, period.

great warm floral vanilla.

Instant Crush is the second most hyped fragrance from Mancera, after Cedrat Boise. I am mentioning this from the beginning because I blind bought it since everybody was talking about it. That was two years ago before owning Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait and Orientica’s Amber Rouge, which is my most favourite copy of BR540 from all I’ve sampled.

Instant Crush is a great fragrance with stellar performance sold at a very reasonable price. But in my experience it’s not smelling similar at all to BR540. And that was the main selling point of all the reviewers who were hyping this up. It’s a standalone scent!

If I was to judge it as a unique creation, it’s a 10/10 scent. Beautiful warm spicy, ambery, vanilla with soft flowers and a very prominent saffron note! I think this is a good perfume to sample at least if you’re interested in saffron.

As a BR540 dupe, I would give it a 6/10 mark. Yes, they both feature a prominent saffron and jasmine note, but besides that they take different directions. This has less sweetness than BR540, more vanilla, citrus, woods, amber and flowers in the composition. Also it is a bit spicier than BR540.

In a nutshell, this is a unique smelling perfume, a standalone scent, with a stellar lasting power and projection. Very close to what I would call a beastly scent. And I love that…

Therefore, if you’re on a hunt for a BR540 Extrait dupe, look further. This is not it. But otherwise, I can’t recommend Instant Crush enough. To both genders!

Phenomenal juice with outstanding performance! Big compliment getter.

Absolute beast mode of a fragrance. I blind-bought this, and I am very happy with the outcome. The smell is a very sweet and complex smell. Although the opening gives me a bit of a headache, I am a big fan of the smell.

The performance Is out of this world. This fragrance should never be sprayed more than 3 times, and rarely even 3. 1 spray will let everyone around you smell you. This is my biggest compliment-getter, and I rarely even wear it.

My one critique about this fragrance is it's very hard to wear. There aren't very many situations where this is a fragrance you should wear. To me, its almost only a date night fragrance, or a get-together where you want everyone to notice you.

AdamDrenovac

This was my first Mancera fragrance. At the time i got it i kinda liked it but not so much. I decided to keep it in collection. In the meantime i bought Red Tobacco, Tonka Cola and Jardin Exclusif (Decant) which are all good fragrances in their own way but Instant Crush grew on me so much it became my favorite Mancera and probbably my favorite fragrance in collection.

Still wouldn’t recommend blind buying this if you haven’t tried BR540 or something simular. If you try it and like it, just go for it. It’s not expencive and it’s a huge compliment getter, people love this stuff.

This is probably the best Mancera fragrance of all time. The price is way to cheap considering it is a unique niche fragrance detailedly made to be a sweet spicy frangance that can be used for almost any occasions. Its smell transmits a sense of elegance and exclusivity while at the same time also being targeted for the young people. Its sillage is amazing, it is strong but not strong enough to be annoying, and the longetivity is amazing and can last the whole day. As a young person who was a hard time finding a fragrance that lasts enough in my skin, this is perfect and matches with my exact necessities. People might say that it is similar to Versace’s Gingembere Petillant, but it has a floral note that is overwhelming to some people and ruins its essence; such as Tom Ford’s Rose Prick, which also has different notes. It is not a perfume I would recommend to blind buy because its sweetness (which isn’t excessive) can be annoying to some people. To people who like sweet perfumes like Parfums de Marley Oajan, Angels Share by Killian and Yves Saint Laurent Babycat, this perfume is perfect. I would give it a solid 10/10 and buy it as many times as possible.

A great fragrance. Its unisex but in my opinion leans feminine. You can pick up nice vanilla, lots of sweet florals and some wood in the background. Never smelled BR540 so i can neither confirm or deny that it smells the same. Great sillage, amazing longevity. Solid fragrance from mancera as per usual.

I just blind bought this fragrance and was expecting a really worthy blind buy, fortunately I was completely right this fragrance lasts up to 8 hrs on my skin and projection is crazy, other reviews state that the fragrance is really feminine, for me it is more masculine, when you first spray this scent you get notes of rose, musk, and powdery, however when this dries down it is woody, vanilla, and for me smells like chocolate, really good blind buy if you like sweet fragrances, the atomizer is also a really good pressurized atomizer, and the packaging is always a 10 from mancera, I would really recommend this as your first fragrance!

This is an incredible take on that br540 DNA. It takes that same sweet, warm and cozy scent signature of br540 but makes it unisex and adds some mild florals. It's a fantastic versatile winter signature for anyone. Performance is amazing getting 12+ hours with room filling projection. This fragrance is very easy to get nose blind to so be careful with overspraying. In most cases 2-3 sprays is fine but if you want to be extra loud than maybe 4 or 5 but no more. This is well worth the price and can be worn by anyone in the colder weather.

When I first sprayed this fragrance, I was not met by what I expected. This was not totally in a bad way though, but not in a good way either. The opening is a very citrusy scent that then quickly dries into a very, very rosy middle that, on my skin, was seriously the only thing I could smell. On my skin, this fragrance is far far more rosy than I expected, and rose being a note that I don't love, this was an unpleasant surprise for me. The rose lingered far throughout the dry down, and was still a very present scent even 4 hours after the initial spray. The dry down, however, does match the notes shown, with it being a more vanilla woody scent that's more of a gourmond with hints of powder than a floral.

Overall, this fragrance is a perfect example of a unisex fragrance that can be pulled off equally by both men and women, though it is overall more known as a men's fragrance. It is very very floral until the deep dry down, so be warned that this fragrance is hyper feminine, and usually that doesn't bother me, but this time it sort of did.

I rate this fragrance a 7.4/10

Really feminine, can only pull it off if you have the "pretty" look as a dude. or if your really bold. Bought it for 74 dollars on aurafragrance. enormous sillage, weeks lasting on clothes.

The only thing that reminds me of BR from MFK is the opening with that slightly ‘metallic’ facet. Although the opening also has some differences. Otherwise, I don't really find much of BR; anyway, not enough to call it a clone.

A lot more things happen here and not in a good way according to my tastes. It seems to me that it smells cheap, synthetic and for me it is constantly headache inducing, sorry. I'm not exaggerating, headache and sneezing, I don't want to offend the lovers of this perfume. I get some loud jasmine I think, some ambery-sweet chemical (maybe that’s another BR-like thing), some patchouli, vanilla, and something woody. Very sweet. But it is far behind BR, which is a sweet but airy, clean, and classy synthetic compared to Instant Crush. (I don't praise that one, it's not my scent profile either, but I can appreciate how it's made.) So, if you're here looking for a dupe, no, look for something else! This one is trying too hard.

The good part is that it is a performance beast, for those who like it. I don't get rid of it even after I wash it, and on the skin after application you can see some very oily spots, so there are some serious oils there. This seems to be the philosophy of the Mancera house, which in theory should be a good thing; 2-3 sprays and it lasts all day/night, you don't have to buy two bottles a month.

The bad part is that either some people become anosmic to them after a while, or they feel the need to be sniffed within a radius of 500m, because I frequently see people complaining about the performance and saying that you need 8-9, up to 15 sprays to feel it. I really had a good laugh the other day after someone left a review on the website of a local perfume shop, at Red Tobacco, if I remember correctly, that it's a fantastic perfume, but he was given time off from work and sent home, so that the others in the office wouldn't suffer. I can't imagine what it's like in hot weather.

I'm very pro "everyone should wear what they like and what brings them joy", but with a perfume with such projection and sillage, moderation is the key, don't bathe in it and try to adapt it to the environmental conditions and occasion.

First thing's first - this is not a dupe/clone of BR540 but the comparison is definitely warranted. I kind of think about this one almost like an unofficial flanker to 540 - it has a similar DNA but is very much doing it's own thing. The thing I love most here is how complex this scent is, I've worn it probably 4 or 5 different times and somehow it always smells a little bit different than what I remember from the last time I wore it.

You can maybe think of this like 540 with a little extra sweetness, some added vanilla, and amplified floral notes. Because of this the saffron kind of comes in and out for me - sometimes I smell this and the saffron is the most noticeable note and then other times it's like it's in the background. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of here is how loud the floral notes are in the opening - which makes it lean a little too feminine for me. However, once it dries down the balance and complexity of this scent really starts to shine through.

All in all a great unisex fragrance with really a intriguing profile and awesome longevity for what I think is a pretty reasonable price.

I took a leap of faith with this blind buy, and I couldn't be happier that I did. I had a feeling I'd fall in love, especially with saffron listed as a top note – a scent I knew would captivate me. At around 90 bucks, it felt like a worthwhile gamble, and boy, did it pay off.

The initial floral blast caught me off guard, but within minutes, it transformed into something truly extraordinary. The vanilla and floral combination became my personal masterpiece, instantly earning a place as my signature scent.

And let me tell you about its staying power – it's unreal! This fragrance doesn't just last all day on my skin; it lingers on clothes for days. A few spritzes and people can't help but notice – Mancera's atomizers make sure of that.

Compliments started pouring in from day one, and they haven't stopped since. It's become a bit of a secret treasure for me, something I'm tempted to keep close to my chest to preserve its uniqueness.

And here's the surprise – it works like a charm even in warmer weather, blending seamlessly with its versatile floral notes.

I'm already planning to restock this gem for life. It's not just a fragrance; it's become an essential part of who I am. In my eyes, it's an 11 out of 10 for both longevity and scent, and overall, it's a perfect 12 out of 10. It's my signature scent, my favorite of all time, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Great blend of sweet, spicy, powdery, fresh, and fruity makes it wearable year round for most occasions. Unisex scent but smells more like a perfume than a cologne. Mancera makes some powerful fragrances and this is no exception. I’d say one to two full sprays is enough as the longevity and projection are insane. When I first smelled it I thought I’d love it on a woman but probably wouldn’t wear it myself, then decided to wear it myself because damn I love this fragrance.

The Wolf

Lots of amberwood and ethyl matol lends to a very long lasting perfume. The saffron saves this from being a complete snooze fest. BR540 has more depth and is using a better saffron, this one is just sort of a non descript sweetness layered over an amber. No burnt sugar. Smells like there's a touch of caramel buried in here but it's not prominent so it doesn't turn me off. I feel it's a more feminine perfume (feel the same way about BR540) and it lasts pretty much until you sweat it off or shower. Good value from a performance aspect if you like it. Better for the younger crowd but I can see the attraction - smells like candy

Gorgeous scent! Sweet, warm with a hint of floral. I love how mancera balance the masculinity and feminine of the scent. Although it leans more on the masculine side than female but can be unisex because of its median floral notes such as rose and jasmine. An easy compliment getter from women; For everyone who wants to collect their compliments. 3-4 sprays should be enough for good 12 hours. An all around season type of cologne. One of my favorite niche brand! A must buy!

I tried a sample and I think that was the quickest I’ve ever gone through a 2ml vial. I purchased a full-size bottle!
I don’t really see where the similarities are to br450 that people are referring to, but if I had to guess, it would be at the dry DRY down where it smells slightly airy and woody; otherwise, I don’t get it. It lasts FOREVER! The initial spray is a bit intense but does seem to die down pretty quick. I thought 3 sprays was a tad too much for me, so, maybe less is more with the larger sprayer! I feel like it can get away with being unisex bo problem.

genec123

Jeez. People are clueless. It's nothing like arabians oud or tonka. It's nothing like shaghaf oud.

It's not that sweet. I'd give it 6 out of 10 on sweetness

It's halfway similar to br540. It is beast mode, and you can go noseblind to it. 6 sprays maximum.

Does have ambroxan like chemical in it. They call it amber wood. That's ridiculous, it's basically ambroxan. Has a good bit too.

I think this is an all season fragrance, except for high heat.

People seem really divisive about this. I thought it was feminine at first, sort of is, I think unisex. I love it, it scratches the br540 itch. Saffron, vanilla, ambroxan, touch woody, bit denser than br540.

share

MaceyJoy

This is absolutely nothing like BR540! I don't know how anyone can say otherwise. This is the reason I bought it as it was compared to it - what a disappointment. Will be giving this away at Christmas!
To my nose it's masculine more than Unisex and very synthetic. I don't smell any fruitiness or fresh scent as described. I wanted to wash it off straight away. I love musky, cedar, oud unisex smells as my signature scent is Molecule 01 but there is something in this that is awful - doesn't suit me or my nostrils. Too strong and unpleasant, not sexy at all.

share

Similar to both br540 and arabians tonka but less woody, fresher and sweeter. Really nice but leans ALOT feminine.

Way better than baccarat tho

When it comes to mancera fragrance they have some of the best openings into niche for beginners and I am very familiar with niche but this one is great and I've gotten compliments from girls in-person with this which is surprising because I personally can't smell much accept a sweet florally scent but it's very very good nonetheless.

Love this. One of those that make your knees weak the first time you test, and keep going back to your collection to smell it off the atomizer. Leans slightly feminine, but I’ve received compliments from both sexes. Don’t understand people bashing performance on the supposed “reformulation”. 8+ hours on skin with 4-5 very hours of very solid projection. Candy floss, floral, and fresh in the opening. Dry down is an addictive musky vanilla that maintains that freshness. I love fragrances that project and last like this one, but also remain light and airy. The hype for Instant Crush is well deserved.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I am making this my signature sent because of how much I like it. It’s sweet but in a non-overpowering way allowing it to be unisex, also allowing it to be a multiple season fragrance especially winter and fall. I actually believe people only say it leans feminine because it does on a tester strip. On my skin it’s definitely on the masculine side but it’s not overpoweringly masculine. I haven’t had a person say they didn’t like it and I get continuous compliments at school both from people who are into fragrance and people who know nothing about it. An easy 9.5/10. Only .5 missing is its availability but websites like jomashop and beauty house have it. Definitely will repurchase when out

One of the best fragrances I’ve owned in a very long while infact a very good contender to BR540 in this price range aswell.

I was looking to purchase BR540 back in 2022 but it didn’t fit my budget at that current moment so this handy dandy came in full clutch and I ordered it right away.

I love it so much because upon
First spray I felt the BR540 DNA asap but then upon the dry down it got a very very very different floral and powdery approach

The top notes blend so well w the mids
The sandalwood, mandarin, ginger, rose, ginger and the ambers along with the jasmine

It’s like a gourmand
masala caramel
rose chai milk cake
But it’s also very powdery the sandalwoods and musks come through real well

And then the base notes of the mosses and the woods and patchouli and the metallic notes add this slightly contrasting depth to it.

It still preserves the BR450 DNA but also does it’s own thing I’d say it’s 78% similar to BR540.

Longevity and projection wise I get nose blind very quick to this on clothes but it’s a beast mode fragrance 10-12 hours realistically with 5-7 sprays.

This is not really that preferable of a scent to do layering with because this is very potent and it can overtake a weaker scent

Anyhow I’m gonna order lattafa confidential private gold soon so can’t wait to layer it with that.

This fragrance gets wayyyyy better the more you keep it around.

Stays on clothes for the next day aswell.

Overall rating:
Longevity:10/10
Sillage:8.7/10(too potent within 2-3 ft)
Projection:8.3/10
(4-5 hours with the 4th and 5th slowly fading but the fragrance is still wayy too strong and lingers around till the 8th hour)
Overall performance:8.8/10
Worth the price?:
many dupes of the fragrance it’s similar to but it smells pretty high quality imma be honest.so yea maybe.I like it.

Interesting fragrance. At first, I definitely smell the citrus notes with the bergamot. It has a light, freshness out the gate and smells very wearable, balanced, and like a great everyday scent. Then the saffron note shows up and now I smell what people are smelling when they compare this to BR540 and I get it. It does have saffron, jasmine, amber, and oakmoss in it after all. Is it a dupe? Not at all, it still carries its own DNA and it only is reminiscent of BR540. Then, after that phase and the heart and base notes take over, it becomes a woody spice bomb. At this phase it doesn't remind me of BR540 at all, it actually reminds me of Boquet Ideale from Casamorati or Angels' Share after it dries. I get vanilla, I get spices, and a subtle patchouli and jasmine note peeking through the sweet spices anchored with sandalwood. What a fragrance journey this one has taken me on. Let me also say the bottle is big and beautiful and with 4 oz. I should be enjoying this for years to come. Also, the atomizer creates a fine mist, which I love. I'm a fan of Instant Crush.

share

EvaNicoleFragrance

Comparing this to BR540 does a disservice to both fragrances.

They’re very different. BR540 is a saffron and ambergris bomb and the smooth fir resin in the base gives it a beautifully sweet and aromatic air. Some ppl get dental office, but I digress.

Instant Crush is as if they took the dna of Roses Vanille dialed the vanilla way back, added a mega dose of ginger, and wrapped it all up in a beautiful orange saffron essence.

It’s gorgeous, and is completely its own fragrance. It does not have “BR540 DNA”. Yes, it has saffron and Jasmine, among a slew of other notes that are more prominent, and the way the notes are presented is not the same at all. BR dries down into aromatic burnt sugar. Instant Crush dries down to steeped ginger, rose and honeyed orange. Let it stand on its own, it absolutely deserves to.

I have to agree with the review from jbozz on 19Oct2023. I tested back in 2020 and believe this was the impression I got too. 4 years later, this year, I found a spray sample of Mancera Instant Crush, along with Soleil d'Italie, randomly while cleaning my drawer in a pouch from two residences ago. Guess I lost it when I moved. I've been testing again and it's the exact impression. Of course it has the BR540 dna but it is lifted with ginger especially. I like it better and don't get the infamous synthetics people associate with Mancera.

The ginger is perfect unlike other fragrances with their own spin that add bright or sweet citruses. Some others verge into the dental, latex, toothpaste territory. This works for me and has always been in my loves, even on here. I just forgot about it because there were others higher on my list. Of course you won't be disappointed with performance. I have never been anosmic to the BR540 dna, so my opinion on performance is subjective.

It has this amazing gourmand smell that just can't be ignored. This is just beautiful.

Versatility: 9/10
Value for Money: 9/10

Mancera is a great starter niche brand to begin with and instant crush was definately a good DNA that I love, i dont know the MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 but this is a very sweet, rosey, saffran type fragrance, feminine but can also be easily pulled by a confident man.

Very powerful as usually all Mancera scents.
Do try a tester before you buy.

This lovely is sweet and strong. 2-3 sprays on the shirt and I am projecting for 12 hours or more. I love that about a fragrance. If I wear this to work it is one spray on my chest under clothing so the bubble formed is not nuclear! I feel like this leans heavily on the female side but I still wear it because there is a note in it that drives me crazy. This is one of my most complimented scents. With that said I CAN NOT wear this multiple days in a row because the sweetness gets to me and I lose interest. Amazing performance and a great scent that I wear twice a month. This bottle will last me a lifetime.

Just recieved this one and honestly i'm sceptical about the scent, would've been much better without the fruity notes, guess i don't like fruits in vanillic-ambery winter fragrances i just noticed it, it's not the first one. It has to be well done and this blend is too simplistic, you get the notes you see with nothing being special or discovered.

It's mass appealing for sure and a compliment getter aswell.

And to the People bringing BR540 up, you definetly have to verify if everything's good with your nose. They have 0 point 0 similaritys with each other, not in the opening nore in the middle and in the drydown neither.

Edit : this is really not for me. Glad i could sell it this thing smells cheap.

Faverinsky

I just received it and I'm already in-love! First impressions are that this perfume truly is unisex so, though sweet, balmy and creamy, I'm certain that a man could rock it too! As a comparison; I used to own Club de Nuit Untold; which is a bit similar in the opening due to the saffron, jasmin and amberwood notes they share, but to my nose, Club de Nuit Untold leaned ever so slightly masculine, so I ended up gifting it to my boyfriend who made that fragrance really shine (he LOVES it and it gets him a ton of compliments). Instant Crush is for me and, as my first "androgynous" scent I'm going to wear the heck out of this potion this fall, winter and spring! (it's summer in NZ right now and you cannot wear this one in the heat).

UPDATE: For those who are calling this a "clone" of BR540 or that they are "tired of these dupes" I own both BR540 edp and the extrait and, this perfume shares 3 notes with the baccarat line-up, that's it! This is NOT a clone, it's a fragrance on it's own! What you are referring to is a "trend" as in the current obsession with marshmallow/citric/orange blossom combos in women's designer and niche fragrances, or about 5 years ago when every women's frag had tonka bean in it (for clubbing), or the trend that Delina started in 2017 of mixing roses with "sparkling" fruits such as lychee and rhubarb. Just because an overly hyped fragrance starts a scent profile that becomes trendy, doesn't mean they own the ip of those notes (i.e. MFK doesn't have a patent on saffron, jasmin, amberwood combo), or that the perfume is a clone or a dupe.

One of my all time favourite perfumes, this has everything I love in a fragrance. I always say to people if you like BR540 you will love this as I definitely see the similarities but find this more complex and more unique as well as being a lot more affordable! The citrus ginger and rose give this such a nice freshness paired with the sweet base notes. Longevity and sillage are both really good too

Well, the good news is that I just bought an 8-ml travel sprayer, so I'm not out a hundred bucks or more, which would suck, but even so, I wish this was a sample bottle. I thought for some reason that I would love this, based on the Fragrantica score and the listed notes, but I discovered something: I think I hate saffron in perfume. A pity because I love love it in rice and other dishes. But Instant Crush isn't like a powerful attraction to me, as in the "I've got a crush on you, sweetiepie" kind of crush. It's more of a crushing disappointment, or a crushing blow, perhaps to the sinuses. There is altogether TOO much going on in this perfume for me: a harsh, chemically minty, metal-tainted patchouli, and way way way too much saffron, which doesn't even smell like the saffron you might find in a fantastic bowl of risotto, but more like you knocked over a spice cabinet in a field of patchouli. This is very much not for me, but I see that I am in the minority. At least I'm pretty confident that I will hate BR 540 now, since their notes are so similar. I just want to take an unscheduled shower, change my clothes, and get this odor off me asap. Sorry to its many fans. Don't blame me: I'm just a silly flo ho. (And yes, I know there are floral notes listed, but I don't smell them at all over that pungent saffron/patchouli juggernaut.)

Update: It was making me feel sick, so I scrubbed it off, but I feel like it's still lingering. I covered it up with another Mancera scent I actually like, Roses Vanille, so with any luck those nuclear musks will counteract each other somehow. Instant Crush was for me an Instant Fail.

Update: Husband also finds it vile. I wonder if we got a bad batch, or if it is supposed to smell this way? I like other Mancera fragrances, but this is so far from up my alley that it might as well be in another stratosphere.

I fell in love with this and impulse bought it in store. This fragrance is so strong that I only do a half spray, just to not choke people out. I’ve decided it leans slightly masculine at first spray, with the heavy ginger note. However, the dry down is beautiful, and definitely becomes more feminine. If I know I’m going somewhere, i’ll try to apply this 30 min to an hour before!

Although I don’t think this is a ‘dupe’ for BR540 if you have the nose blindness problem with it, you’ll probably struggle with this as it’s definitely the same family, but slightly more masculine and less sweet, I actually prefer this but you could absolutely have both and they’d have they’re own places. As with all mancera / montale there is a slightly synthetic note, which I don’t hate but might not be for you if you don’t get on with it. Silage and longevity superb as always and super lovely warm fragrance but perhaps nothing particularly unique with so many saffron / woody / amber / vanilla fragrances on the market at the minute

Instant crush is just gorgeous. It is the most candy sweet, thick spicy vanilla bomb with ridiculous sillage. This perfume annoys me though because it smells really great on my brother, and yet on my own skin it really amps up the musk and it smells dusty and overpowering. I've managed to counteract this by spraying it only on my clothes. SO GOOD.

This is one of the examples I give when I say you can still appreciate something even if you know it's not for you. This is a gorgeous fragrance but it is way far from what I like to wear. Spicy, Amber, vanillic and resinous with powdery nuances from the saffron. I wore it however on Christmas Eve because it felt appropriate. Since it was way to sweet for my taste I layered it with English oak and Hazelnut by Jo Malone to give it some extra woodiness and oh mamaaa... it was the best Christmas fragrance combo ever! And its lasting power? Eternal. It's been more than a week and I can still smell it on the pair of earrings I wore that day.

Instant Crush is a tingly oud wood scent with strong powdery floral notes. Spicy to the nose is definitely an apt description for this one.

Great fragrance for winter. It's a lovely, spicy vanilla that suits everyone. On first sniff, I smelled saffron and ginger, but this scent is such a nice, complex vanilla. It has so many layers, next I smelled that classic vanilla mixed with sandlewood and oakmoss. This isn't overall sweet; it's more spicy and woody on my skin, which I love. It's so warm and refreshing for the winter that I'll definitely be wearing it out on some cold nights. Do I dare to give this a 10/10? I think I'll have to wear this more and let the scent develop before I declare my love for it.

LOVE at the first sniff! The performance? Even better than the perfume itself. As a feminine-looking feminine woman, it did not feel masculine for me, at all. I mean even Lira feels more masculine for me than Instant crush. I got it yesterday, wore it immediately on myself since i had no perfume that day, and been driving for 2 hours i needed something to make me feel better, a little makeup and some good fragrance. It is BEAST MODE as everyone tells. I got home after eating out, shopping like basically after 3-4 hours, my dad asked me my perfume as soon as i went to his house, and when i showed him he just smelled the cap a little bit then sprayed on himself about 10 sprays lol. That night i went to shower at 4 am, after 10 hours i sprayed the frag on myself, exfoliated myself HARD and when i came out of the shower, i still slightly could smell it on myself. Today i met my dad in the afternoon, mind you we both wore different clothes yesterday, and i could still smell this perfume on my dad a little. This is the longest-lasting perfume i ever own. Amazing! Chef’s kiss!

One of those "love at first sniffs"! Apart from a great outward sillage, I think for me it has one of the most beautiful sillages turned inwards. It stays with you long after the perfume is gone.

I think it's found home in some corner of my olfactory cortex.

I really don't know what happened with this one.
At first it smelled like a softer version of a citrus warm perfume that I own, and smelling it more I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not.
It was very complex, couldn't put my finger on it, so I decided to spray it on myself and as soon as I did, the most awful burnt rubber, chemical/plastic smell filled my nose. I had to try five times to scrub it off.
It then became all I could smell on paper.
Extremely disappointed.

I find myself on the fence about this fragrance, still uncertain whether I merely find it okay or if I truly love it. Let's address a couple of points upfront—this is not a BR540 dupe. While it doesn't strike me as cloying, it teeters on the edge of that territory and certainly doesn't lack in performance. Interestingly, Ariana Grande's Cloud bears more resemblance to BR540 than this fragrance does.

I own the magnetic atomizer, and while I can't confirm any reformulation claims, I can attest to its impressive performance.

Now, diving into the fragrance itself:
The initial burst is an enticing blend of sweet vanilla and a hint of saffron, maintaining that profile throughout its lifespan, with the sweetness gradually mellowing. This fragrance skillfully navigates between feminine and masculine notes, making it perfectly unisex. The scent trail it leaves behind is likely to be well-received, and it's remarkably potent—you may find that even a single, half-assed spray is more than sufficient due to its strength.

Update 1: I put on this fragrance after about 2 months of it sitting in its packaging, and I’d like to say it has developed somewhat. The notes seem to have balanced themselves making it feel let dense overall. The sweetness has settled a little bit and I get more saffron and that BR540 resemblance everyone seems to talk about.

Mona708

This started out somewhat like a toned down version of Arabians Tonka minus the nutty chocolatey accord. I didn’t notice the citrus or saffron much at all honestly. Then it started reminding a bit of Cloud minus the fruity notes towards the end. I liked it more than I thought I would and I would happily recommend it to anyone who wants to try sweeter scents but doesn’t want something overly sweet.

share

BabogTheCat

My first impression was that it smelled like green bell pepper. Once it settled in more, I got lots of patchouli, amber, and ginger. I'm not mad at it, but there's not a whole lot of sillage or mystery here. It's pleasant and I'll wear it again for something casual but there's nothing particularly remarkable about it, either. It's nice enough.

I've had this scent for a while now and am just getting around to reviewing it.

There are some scents that you know will be a favorite as soon as you take the first sniff, and for me this was absolutely one of them.

This starts out as a sweet, musky citrus cloud. I find it stays pretty linear throughout the dry-down, until you're left with a tangerine-like musk towards the end. The overall scent profile is somewhere between a bed of roses and a tangerine, with just enough musk to balance.

Regarding this scent being unisex, I find it really sits in the middle between masc and fem more than most most unisex scents I've come across. The sweet, cloudy top notes do come off as feminine, but the musk is present enough to make it work on men. I do think it does lean more feminine, and it is most likely more wearable for a women in general. As a man, I pretty much only wear this when I'm alone or doing something intimate.

While I do love this scent, there are some issues that make it imperfect. The first few seconds after application are very alcoholic, but this is only a brief issue. The sprayer on my bottle (magnetic cap) is quite weak, and longevity does not seem to match with the old batch. Still this is a very strong scent, with.1 or 2 sprays being enough to keep you smelling great.

This is one of those scents you can smell one time and never forget. Even though I love it, it's not perfect and the bold notes could drive someone away, so I give it an 8.5/10.

Deliza1997

For me it is love at first sniff. I get a spicy, fruity, saffrony opening and a drydown which is similar to BR540 but with more vanilla and added rose and fruity notes dancing in the background. For me it solved the nose blinding aspect of BR540. Performance is also great. Yes it has similarity with BR540 but it unfolds itself in a very different way that makes it a separate perfume on it’s own.

So I'm not a fan of BR540 for a few reasons... too many people use it, mostly women, and there are too many clones. I like the extrait, but it's not worth the price, IMO. On top of all that, it is 70% feminine. Men CAN wear it, but with so many female perfumes copying it, you're kidding yourself if you call this a masculine scent.

I decided to blind-buy Instant Crush by Mancera with every intention of giving it away (as I have all my other BR540 clones) but will definitely keep it. It leans more masculine, and the longevity is incredible. 9-10 hours and it's still going.

Stop with Story fairytales... beast mode saffron vanilla that opens up like BR540 for a bit and then does it own thing. Easy 12+ on skin (I have bad skin chemistry) and weeks on clothes radiating !

I tested it 2 years ago using a 10ml sample so I'm not sure what year the batch was. It's mildly sweet, radiates sweetness everywhere but doesn't make people uncomfortable, the effect is suddenly hidden and suddenly appeared like MFK 540. It stayed on my pillowcase for a week, it's actually amazing, the best Mancera scent I've ever tried. For me, this is one of the three female scents I love the most, followed by Afnan violet boutique and Lattafa Amethyst.

A very peculiar fragrance. I first sprayed this on a year ago and didn’t enjoy the forever jammy rose vibe. Last month I went back to give it another try. The liquid has completely changed color and is now a dark amber brown. And it’s now a very complex fragrance profile that has a dr jekel Mr Hyde quality. At times I get the toasty sweet saffron and other times it smells like a spicy floral woodsy scent that reminds me of the 90’s. And still other times I get Tom fords black orchid vibe. I’m still not sure I love it…I think I do…

This radiates like crazy in my skin. Longevity is eternal and I constantly get whiffs of it during the day. BEAST MODE. Too sweet for my nose, passing on this one. Sample first.

i got a newest batch and when i spray it 4 times as usual and get somewhere, there is no chance passing unnoticed. Harsh openning, i close my nose when spraying sometimes but worth the impressions afterwards. Maybe slightly emasculine smell but it is addictive so it won’t really matter. For men buying fragrance to be noticed its safe blind buy IMO(it happened to rub off but it happens to every scent sometime). Got complimented by people with collections and them asking what am i wearing so they must have it… Smell is specific so if you are a woman it’s definitely not a blind buy. Got complimented for smelling good quite a few times. for me its 8.9/10

Oh, Instant Crush... it truly was love at first sniff. An instant crush, if you will.

This has got to be the easiest fragrance to wear that I've ever tried. I was expecting it to be loud and spicy based on all the reviews I've read, but this is surprisingly soft and delicate.

I mainly get rose from this, with saffron, musk and vanilla in the background... an absolutely delicious concoction. I'm not a floral girly by any means (let alone roses!) but this rose is so CLEAN and soft. Not jammy or overbearing at all.

Instant Crush is airy, sweet, long lasting, and suitable for all seasons and situations. I can't even tell you how many compliments I've received wearing this. It does lean slightly more feminine but I would absolutely devour a man wearing this... do with that what you will.

One of the more popular picks from Mancera. Touted as a true unisex fragrance everyone can enjoy, and a solid alternative to Baccarat Rouge 540. I couldn't find a tester anywhere close to me, so I had to blind buy it. Let's discuss;

Scent:
Opening is sweet, spicy, and floral. Right away the main notes I get are rose, vanilla, and saffron. The rose is the strongest of the three to my nose, followed by the vanilla and saffron. The dry down is sweet, woody, and spicy. The main notes I get are vanilla, saffron, amberwood, and sandalwood. The vanilla and saffron come across the strongest, followed by an ambery note from the amberwood and creaminess from the sandalwood. From opening to dry down, it carries that middle-eastern fragrance vibe.

Performance:
Initial projection is nuclear and easily fills a room. Sillage matches that intensity with a heavy scent trail. After a few hours the projection is still a bit further than arms length and there was still a noticeable scent trail. At around the 12 hour mark the projection was still about arms length and there was still a noticeable scent trail. 24 hours later there was no projection or sillage, but I could still smell it on myself. Certified beast mode performance.

When to wear:
Even though this is very sweet, I would say this is an all-season fragrance suitable for day or night time wear; just dial your sprays accordingly. This scent is much too strong for the office, but could work well for a date as long as you don't go overboard.

Blind buy:
I wouldn't necessarily call this a safe blind buy as it can be too middle-eastern or feminine for some peoples' tastes. However, if that's what you're looking for the scent and performance won't disappoint.

Final verdict:
Now for the big question; does it smell like BR540? The answer is yes, it does. It goes without saying that BR540 is going to be of better quality and blend, but Instant Crush does a respectable job of capturing the BR540 essence. Outside of that, it's a solid niche-quality fragrance on its own. Smells more expensive than it is, performs like a beast, and commands attention. If you're looking for something unisex and sweet, or you're just looking to wear BR540 without spending BR540 money, give this one a shot.

Scent: 8/10
Longevity: 10/10
Sillage: 10/10

Sadly seems my nose is not tuned in to fragrances like this (including cousin Baccarat Rouge 540, and recently D&G The Only One). I get only the acid from the citrus and none of the flavour, the "spice" from the ginger and none of the character. It's like they turned the treble all the way up, I get all the intensity of the notes and no subtlety, joy, or balance. All entirely synthetic and chemical-y :(

share

leesam

This is absolutely a "beast mode" fragrance. From a tester, I dabbed once, and the smell was overwhelming. After washing my hands and taking a shower, I can still catch whiffs of it. While the performance is great, I am not a fan of the scent. Based off of the notes, I was hoping for a more complex scent than what I actually picked up on. Mancera's Instant Crush smells exactly like Atelier Cologne's Vanille Insensee on me. The vanilla is overpowering and makes this very sweet and a bit generic. I'm disappointed that there wasn't more to this.

share

Sweet? Vanilla? Where?! I definitely bought this scent not completely understanding how the notes could come together, but this still smells horrid. It's woodsy and masculine, but it also smells like strong chemicals. It kind of reminds me of those oriental rug stores in the mall. The cutesy name of this perfume doesn't match the scent at all!

(Just received a bottle of this in a swap-trade)
Oh....
My....
GOODNESS!!!

This is sooooo awesome!! I've been looking for a replacement to my bottle of "L'envol de Cartier" EDT when it runs out. I've been auditioning various "Citrus" fragrances to see if any came close, and none had over this entire summer and fall.
Until Today!!
While "Instant Crush" is not directly comparable to "L'envol de Cartier" EDT....it's a super fresh, mega-strong, citrus-vanilla fragrance that has the mind-bendingly powerful DNA of "Mancera" fragrances. I sprayed twice to my chest and I've been getting wafts of this citrusy-vanillic rosy-woody beauty for the past few hours since it arrived. On paper it seems to lean more towards the citrus aspects of the fragrance, but on skin...oh it's magical!!

I layered it with "Bianco Latte" for funsies but it actually mixes and layers better with "Lush - Let the good times roll"....I think I just found a new primary-scent-combination that I'll be wearing for the next few weeks!!! I'm definitely wearing this for the first week at the new Division for in-processing and training.
I need something that will last through it all and still stand strong...like me.

23NOV23 update:
The test strip that I sprayed it on when it arrived a few days ago now smells strongly of amberwood, oakmoss and creamy vanilla. 2-3 days later and it's STILL got at least a 3-5 inch scent-bubble around this test strip! Amazing performance! I almost want to spritz it with heated steamwater from the iron and see if it re-energizes the fragrance and makes it re-project! I get the feeling that it absolutely would re-energize with heat...bodyheat or otherwise. This has absolutely nuclear performance JUST like my "Bharara - King" bottles. I absolutely love this....wow.

I don't get the hype around this one. To me, it's just old fashioned, overly sweet saffron-vanilla that I associate with shaving foam my grandfather used ages ago. The whole old bathroom used to smell like this. I don't even want to use my 2ml sample, I had enough after first sniff. Don't get me wrong, I can imagine that this might be the perfect scent for somebody. It's just not going to be me.

I might try to give it a chance in a cold weather, perhaps it will bring something else than the sticky, sickening sweetness I despise so much... But I would be really, really surprised if this ever gets into my wishlist.

I wore this to a concert last month and this did what it needed to do. It lasted all night and was projecting. I got multiple compliments, even from people who weren’t anywhere near me. I had one woman ask me the name, she said she wanted to buy her husband a bottle.

This fragrance was one I had to grow to love. It projects and lasts LONG.
It’s a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
This is a perfume worth trying.
If your someone who enjoys “beast mode” fragrances look no further!

Very warm yet dark, it's a strong one! It's a perfect blend of sicilian bergamot, moroccan rose and white musk. I sometimes find it very charming and sometimes it gets way too strong for me. I think it's much better for males, they will love it more!

I bought a 1mL decant of this fragrance, and immediately decided to buy a full size bottle after 1 wear. Instant Crush is this beautifully, sexy, warm, inviting, cohesive blend of spices, floral notes, subtle sweetness, and this beautifully woodiness/earthiness that tie it all together.

It's this beautifully complex scent that everyone around you will love, which is good because this scent lasts for 14+ hours easily on my skin (eternally on clothes) and projects for a good amount of that time. I constantly get whiffs of this throughout the day with only two sprays on my neck, and it makes me feel like I'm three inches taller because of how good it smells, and how good I KNOW everyone around me thinks I smell. I'm currently in college and someone who gravitates towards pretty generic/inoffensive scents with minimal reach because I want to make sure I don't smell obnoxious during class in a packed lecture hall, but this is one scent I can comfortably wear despite its projection because I know it smells so good. You only need 2, max 3 sprays of this to guarantee this crazy performance as well. It is also an incredibly versatile scent, one that works across most occasions and seasons. I think this may lean a bit heavy in the summer, and I think other scents may cut through the cold better for winter. However, this is perfect for fall and spring in my opinion, and still incredible for the winter. I will definitely being wearing this through the winter just because I love it so much.

What's not to love about this fragrance? Incredible smell, crazy longevity and projection, and the value is insane ($95 for 4oz on Jomashop with how little you need per day makes a bottle last forever). The only reason I could see to not buy this is if the unisex nature of it is offputting. I don't think it leans very feminine or masculine (as a guy), to me it simply stands independently of gender (even with the rose and jasmine notes). 10/10, changed how I view and buy fragrances. Please go grab this.

I created a fragrantica account just so I could review Instant Crush by Mancera. First off, IC smells like BR540 for like 5 minutes of the opening. However after those 5 minutes, it becomes its own fragrance. So lets just stop comparing the two and move on. I am in love with this fragrance. There is a reason its named "Instant" Crush. I blind bought this and have no regrets but I cannot ensure everyone will have a similar experience. To put it into simple words, it smells like saffron vanilla custard with Rosey undertones.

I am so glad I tried this one before blind buying and I’d strongly recommend anyone else to do the same. Instant Crush is definitely its own fragrance and only similar to BR540 in scent profile. The ginger and woody notes in this give it a spicier and brighter feel, but honestly the overall blend is just not all that smooth to my nose, not like BR540 or even Cloud for that matter. The opening is harsh but once it settles it gets a bit more enjoyable, though only mildly so. It does smell much better in the air for sure, but as the one wearing the fragrance I want to enjoy the experience. This was disappointing but a relief to me at the same time. No offense to anyone that likes this. This actually reminds me a bit of a lighter, spicier version of 1 Million Elixir, but I’d much rather wear that (one of my favs). Guess I’ll just save up for my own bottle of BR540 because that was an instant love for me when I first sampled it.

share

ambervxyjul

I wouldn’t suggest blind buying this at all. This is BR540 + heavy dose of woody notes. You can smell the depth, it’s not airy or light whatsoever. I love ambroxan scents so I really like this, but many people who I’ve shown this to are repulsed and give the worst face lol. I think once it settles, it can be liked by majority. I don’t spray this often because longevity and silage is insane (people will complain) but amazing for the price! It’s unisex but to my nose leans slight more masculine although I wear it sometimes and I’m a woman! To each their own.

Not really sure, but as time passes, this DNA is getting boring... Already smelt Baccarat Rouge 540, Armaf Untold, and this.
Later on, I just find it is getting boring and not a fan of saffron-based perfumes anymore...
I have sold my bottle and I glad I did cause I am getting tired smelling the strong saffron...

The silver-lining, I used to get compliments with this perfume but as it starts to grow in me, the scent starts being suffocating and decided to sell it off...

For everyone saying it doesn't smell like baccarat rouge - IT DOES.

The opening is almost identical because of the saffron, and it smells in general like you mixed BR and Roses Vanille by Mancera together due to the creamy airy sugary sweetness of the fragrance. A few reviews mentioned it being masculine but to me, this is completely feminine and is just as sweet as Roses Vanille, my boyfriend said he wouldn't wear it due to it being so feminine although he wears Roses Vanille and loves it.

For all my UK girls, buy your Mancera and Montale from allbeauty as the discounts are insane

GoodSmellsOnly14

For maybe 5 seconds baccarat rouge hits the nose then it takes a completely different turn. It’s warm and cozy. Woody and sweet, this could lean slightly masculine but also very feminine? A true unisex. Most perfumes, even the ones we call beast modes, do not last on my skin no matter how much I moisturize and lather myself in Vaseline and heavy lotions. THIS perfume is out of fucking control!! I will put it on before the gym, come home and shower and not reapply and as I walk into work 2 women asked me what I wearing because I smelled so good. One said it was almost overpowering. I am in shock at how powerful yet soft this is. Let it macérate for a month or 2 and this will turn into an absolute powerhouse.

share

Hifza

This one is very soft yet strong too. I once gifted this to a friend who is a doctor and she loved it because she has long working shifts, sometimes 12 -14 hours. This stays like forever on her clothes and skin. Also, her male colleague also uses her fragrance at times, and he also find it very enchanting.

Oh gosh, this made me so nauseous and dizzy. I really don't like this perfume and if this is how that BR540 smells like, keep it away from me. This is so masculine, it's compensating for testosterone. I feel like this is what those "alpha podcasts bros" smell like.

share

Cinnabomb

So close.
Almost everything is there - the spice, the vanilla sweetness, the wood... but there's a medicinal, metallic quality that jars. Perhaps it's the saffron.
On the other hand it's smooth, luxurious, well balanced and very potent. It leans slightly to the feminine side of unisex IMHO.
I haven't yet put my nose to BR540, but if it has that same note, I won't bother.

share

Sassafras23

This is not a patchouli bomb at all, rachaelol. I can’t even feel patchouli (which is one of my favourites) in this. This fragrance is dominated by amber wood, vanilla and saffron.

This may be one of those that have some attractive aspects but the bulk of the scent is not my type. The opening saffron & ginger smell musty. I like it more when the floral notes begin to come through. I felt the rose when the scent transitioned to the heart. The deep dry down that sticks to clothes forever is rather addictive. It’s cozy-rustic rather than elegant, and as such it would be out of place in working environments. Not ‘sexy’ either. Potent and conspicuous, I personally wouldn’t wear it for fear of controversy.

So many people have been comparing this to Baccarat - but is it weird that I see more similarities to Kalan? I mean, take away the perceived unpleasant earthiness of Kalan, add on some sweet, woody notes, and maintain the spiciness, and you get Instant Crush. To me, it's perfectly unisex, in that it'll smell equally sexy on people of any gender. (Hence, the name, I suppose.)

The scent profile is complex and layered. It is a saffron bomb at first, but it does not read in the same way as Baccarat's saffron note does - this feels much more neutered with light, sour citruses and doesn't blast you with the explosive, toothache-inducing sweetness Baccarat does (nothing wrong with that sweetness, but Instant Crush is a different vibe). The heart of the fragrance starts to delve into a benzoin-like ambrous quality, and quickly develops into the sweeter drydown. Vanilla plays a role in sweetening the accords, but combined with the woods and musks, it feels softer and more powdery as opposed to sugary - it's almost clean and soapy. My only quip about the drydown is that it's extremely subtle and light, and barely detectable even as a skin scent.

I have to say, given the reviews below mine, I'm a bit disappointed in the performance.During the first three hours of wearing the fragrance, it does leave a nice sillage of about 3-5 feet. However, it's been about six hours since I sprayed Instant Crush on my skin, and while the atomizer is absolutely beautiful, I cannot smell the fragrance on my wrist anymore. It lasts slightly longer on clothes, but it doesn't project out. Maybe I've just gone noseblind? I'm not sure.

None of this alters the fact that Instant Crush is an apt homage to its perfect name. I feel like an absolute stud wearing this myself, and I think it'd work perfectly on literally anyone else. Well done, Mancera. You have my stamp of approval with this.

This is not BR 540 this has its own identity but reminiscent of it none the less. I tried this in store and loved it so I purchased a full bottle. Even though it ended up not working out for me I have no regrets. I guess I’m just tired of this type of DNA, it’s time for something new. The saffron is wonderful, it’s also sweet in a bit of a cotton candy type of way especially in the opening. In the dry down I noticed it gets very animalic maybe it’s just my skin chemistry, which is why once I’m done with my 4oz bottle I will not be purchasing another, at least I gave it a try!

I have a 2021 batch 21L336C (12/2/21), and performance is NUCLEAR- on par with Dior Sauvage Elixir.

The opening right after spraying it, similar to Savauge elixir, is so unbelievably strong my nose actually hurts. If I know I'm going to be out of the house for 10+ hours, I usually pick either Instant Crush or Sauvage Elixir as 3 sprays will last over 12 hours easily. Insane projection the first 4-5 hours, becomes more moderate up to the 8-9 hour mark (on clothes). After 10 hours, it becomes faint, but still noticeable when moving around or when close by.

The most common comparison seems to be BR540. I have both, and I can say that BR540 is a way more lighter and airy scent. Performance is very good, but not nuclear level like Instant C. It for sure leans a bit feminine, especially with all the clones of the scent profile out there specifically marketed for women. But any guy with the confidence can easily wear it and it wouldn't seem out of place. Instant crush on the other hand has a way heavier, darker woody sweetness to it, along with a noticeable lower scent quality. Something in the extra heaviness in the scent makes it more masculine than BR540.

With BR540 for a guy, I get more sophisticated, classy vibes- something I'd wear to a nice dinner with colleagues or a date. Instant Crush is a more in your face, life of the party vibes- more suitable for a party, club, or some sort of casual night out with friends.

Agressive vanilla punches you in the face and then runs away. Mancera perfumes don't unfold, only disappear.

Smells spot on/copy of Soul of My Soul from Etat Libre D’orange. Funny enough as I wanted to try this and wanted to buy a bottle of SOMS! Similar opening to 540 but is absolutely different in its own regard when smelling the heart and base notes. So happy to have this for fall and winter :)

You know what this smells like? Ariana Grande’s Thank u Next 2.0
Update: smells like TUN 2.0 but make it bitter as heck from the saffron.

Bought an 8ml to test and was really excited following the reviews. However I was really disappointed upon smelling this perfume as it smells exactly like Zara red temptation. It’s a very sharp and scratchy scent to me. I have Zara red temptation and I smelled them to compare.

Selling a brand new bottle!! I’ve sprayed it 3 times max, so it’s pretty much unused. I’m nose-blind to the scent, otherwise I would keep it.

Strong BR540 in the opening, more woody and less airy sweet dry down

I strongly dislike BR and strongly dislike Instant crush - there is this suffocating vibe about both of them. Can’t really put my finger on what is it that I don’t like. Probably the saffron and roses combo. Really makes me gag.

smells like a tamer BR540, which i say as a compliment because i HATED baccarat. it was nauseating, like an offensive rich old church woman that mad dogs children. consider this a day version of BR540, but don’t think it’s work safe, it might be too much for closed spaces.

It’s not bad . I am getting really worn out on this type of scent . The baccarat , cloud, scent . There are too many that are way too similar . This one does have more saffron in it . If I’d have realized it smells like baccarat I wouldn’t have chosen it . I’m looking for new scents , not the same smell from many different designers. To me this smells like baccarat with more saffron and also a touch of commodity milk or even gold . Those 3 perfumes mixed is what this smells like to me

It does smell like BR540 BUT it has more saffron, like a BLAST of saffron in the beginning. It is a bit too artificial for my taste but one spray on my arm lasted even after a shower and projected like crazy. It is not as medicinal as Baccarat BUT it has the typical Montale/Mancera artificial note

It’s just so good. Complex, smooth. I find it unisex even though it is sweet. It’s not gourmand, bakery sweet, not heady-floral or cloyingly sweet, but it’s there, tempered by fresh and floral notes. I get nervous when I see oak moss because my skin will blast it until i’m a musty, animalic mess, but it isn’t detectable on me, which just means it’s blended gorgeously to ground the vanilla and florals. The woods keep it from going too feminine. The patchouli isn’t distinct, so don’t let that turn you off (i know some folks detest it), it’s serves here only to add some depth. Really, I love this. It’s grown up but not tired, there’s a quality about it that is addicting, I think it’s sniffing through the different facets of floral, fresh, sweet, fruity?, woody. My brain doesn’t quite know how to categorize it. I would also cool off on the BR540 tip. Will this smell like 540 to some? sure, especially on certain chemistries. I find this much warmer and more wearable. more personality, less sterility. Instant crush? Fricken yep.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think the rose, jasmine, and patchouli ruin this. This fragrance is often lumped in with BR540 and Thomas Kosmala No. 4 and both of those are two favorites of mine. Both airy and ethereal. This doesn't really live up to either of them.

It's nice, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing special. There's something a little sickly sweet about it as well, and I don't really see this as an airy fragrance. It's weighed down by that Jasmine and Patchouli in the mid. Has the potential to evoke nausea and be cloying in the heat. It has average lasting power and projection.

I could possibly see myself getting a travel size of this but nothing more. Not worth it when TK4 exists.

5/10

I get whiffs of the BR540 but its subtle. Instant crush smells like a middle eastern fragrance bc of the other worldly synthetic-ey vibe. I'm trying to like this but its just meh for me now. I will give it some time and will try it again to see if i would like it

While everyone around me says this is fragrance, I truly lean on my opinion for this one. I think it suits my personality, wtth being a sober and mature fragrance for someone who really enjoys their own vibe.
This is DELICIOUS in the air. I wear it for myself but received quite a few compliments from people I've gone out with. It is loud and can be annoying in the heat, as long as you can't contain your finger to a few sprays.
Great scent bubble, confidence inspiring, and one that I just can't think about going without. Wear it in more outing situations rather than super close indoors, like a date, but still would surprise him/her with what you have on.
Totally unisex, but for me, a masculine man, I think it's the cherry on top.

This stuff lasts forever on skin and even longer on clothes. I have a bottle that's 98% full with a batch code from June 2021 I'm willing to trade. I'm in Columbia, SC if that makes it easier.

Have a 2023 version of instant crush, and I think it is very weak in its performance.
The scent seems to last a long time on the skin, but it has no projection.
Maybe it just needs to mature a bit.
Have put it away for a while and will return to it again in a month or two.

Update:
After 1 month, its just get a little “darker” in the vanilla
(on the skin, and very close to the skin)
…And after 2-3 months, its still got no power…

So far:

Scent: 8/10
Projection 3/10
Longiverty 6/10

Now I just put it away for 2-3 month, and then hope that some miracle will happen…

All in all, this fragrance has been allowed to stand for 4-5 months.
As described, it has become a bit stronger in the vanilla, but nothing surprising compared to how it was 4-5 months ago.
Either I got a bad batch, but I can see that there are still quite a few who have.
In any case, it is sad that it can vary so much.
It's not because I'm going nose blind, I've checked all that, I've just been unlucky with this bottle, like quite a few others.
At least it's great that Mancera has other fragrances that have the best performance.
But this bottle doesn't change.

When I tried it in a store, it had crazy performance. Massive projection for 5 hours, 12+ hours total. (also was a magnetic cap)

But when I buy it, it has weak-medium projection for 20 min, before turning into a skin scent with a total life of 4 hours.

I got a magnetic cap, February 2022 (22b035b) batch. Bough it from a reputable discounter, with an authenticity guarantee. I have macerated it for over 3 months. it's still terrible.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Edit:
I have returned it as I was tired of it not preforming, the scent was also not the same (it kept getting in my mouth somehow?). I really wanted to like this one...

Definitely getting saffron here. That's really all I can smell, and some slightly cloying sweetness from the vanilla. Surprised that many people say this leans feminine because it goes super masculine on my skin. I love a masculine-leaning fragrance, but this is full on after-shave manliness on me. I really wanted to love this one, but it does not love me.

Projection and longevity are killer. This outperformed about 3 other perfumes that I sprayed on that day at Saks. Even after showering, I could still smell it. If this works for you, I would say it is definitely worth the price.

I had an entire 12hr shift to fully sit and rate this fragrance from spray to when it died on my skin so here is my full honest review of this bottle I have from start to finish.

Opening is fantastic. I love the sweetness as I love sweet and/or spicy fragrances. This one does not disappoint in the sweetness category. 10 sprays is what I used to be exact.

The beginning of the drydown is where I start to have a problem with this bottle. I noticed it was really sticking close from the beginning. Two sprays on each arm and already had to raise my arm just to smell it. So added 1 more spray to each arm for good measure. It didn't help much.

So left for work and could smell it ok in the car. Not really heavy, but it was decently nice.

Got to work and it was 94 degrees outside. Now I'm getting a little trail walking in and got a compliment and a smile. I'm still not impressed but I appreciated the compliment. It took 94 degrees to create a trail. Not happy.

Got inside I could almost feel it instantly die. 3 hours later and it is just a skin scent. My buddy sitting across from me said he couldn't smell me all night.

So basically by now I'm done with this. When I get new stuff in, this one is getting trashed probably. To me it seems like a waste. I also have Aoud Lemon Mint and it is badass. This bottle of Instant Crush is truly a full on let down. I really expected more. A 12hr skin scent is not what I wanted or what I want in my collection. If I'm being to harsh, I don't mean to be. Just fully disappointed in this bottle.

Absolutely nuclear performance with +12hrs longevity! a must have if you don’t really care smelling a bit feminine

Worth the hype, amazing sillage with great longevity. I also tried layering it with Eros Flame and the scent was magical. Anyone else also tried layering it with Eros flame and how did you like it?

Slightly over rated Mancera top shelfer.

A sweet, saffron musk, 540-wannabe. Modern, magnetic cap formulation is less intense than the original, darker juice.

Pro tip: try Arabians Tonka instead.

Very strong on patchouli in my opinion. Im not a fan of this note so I was disappointed with this blind buy. For some reason I was expecting a sweeter more BKR scent.

In the first 30 minutes, this 100% felt like a female scent. It gets more and more unisex as it dries down.

crazy beast! smells great! stays forever on cloth

On me this is not beast mode at all, I think I'm anosmic to this type of DNA because I have it also with Baccarat.

The scent is sickly sweet to me and gets cloying very fast.

I absolutely love this. I seem to be living in 2 fragrances atm. This and Arabians Tonka. Even though they say this leans masculine, I personally find it truly unisex. It's addictive and lasts until the following day and I can't stop sniffing my wrist. You think it's faded and then it sends beautiful wafts your way. I get no metallics at all. Its a boozy, magical blend, with nothing standing out to me.

I got a microperfume of this to test it against BR450. Similar but not the same. I sprayed it in one arm and I sprayed BR450 on the other. I asked my teenage son to smell my arms and he was impressed by this one. When he smelled BR450 he said it was "too basic" This is a lot sweeter and stronger and it actually lasts longer on me than BR450. I am buying the full size for sure.

3 sprays on skin and will last all day in the office
This does stand on its own but way too much people asking me if im wearing MFK BR450

longevity 9.5/10
projection 10/10

I’m not getting bandaid but I was getting a heavy metallic smell and maybe camphor or menthol. To be fair, I tried this on my outer arm, not pulse points which makes a difference for me. The dry down was fabulous but it took over an hour to lose that metallic smell. I smelled this on myself this morning after almost 12 hours and I had to try it again. This time on my inner arm and wrist. What a difference! No metallic or camphor smell. Just florals, vanilla, amber and sandalwood. This smells divine and I can see it making my autum rotation.
