Sorry, that is what I meant. Android 14 changes included in that update blocked access. On my S24U, while I can see the folders and subfolders in Android data, the files are not visible. You can still see and manipulate files in Android media though.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
CX Explorer
This app has been working in /data/ and everywhere else I need it, since I got the S23U. It continues to work through v6.1 + latest updates

Before CX Explorer, I used Root Explorer (with rooted and non-rooted phones) for many years, so I have some Explorer app experience.

I don't know that it's possible for CX to cling onto permissions, grandfathering the app through new firmware updates. If so, a new CX Explorer install might not work for you.
Just tossing that out there. Anyone can feel free to tell me that's not possible.

try files commander or total commander
None of those work for me, though they asked permission to access all files, they still need rights of system file manager to modify files.

On my S23U (S918B) on 6.1 I can still access Android/Data folder with the native Android file manager.

Not with Samsung My Files app. I think that Android 14 prevents access, not OneUI 6.1...
Good news
My device is S918B-DS2, now can access and modify all files now with Shizuku (without root). I followed instruction running Shizuku through adb, and set in Zarchiver run with Shizuku, work perfectly now.

Well done! Which thread's instructions did you use for getting Shizuku and Zarchiver going?
I've stumbled upon a few threads, and am in a similar scenario, although unrelated to explorer apps' All Files Access.

My device is an SM-S918U, which already had bootloader version 2 firmware, preventing the BLv1 OEM unlock method. US Cellular said that installment payments need to complete for them to enable OEM unlock.
So, I'm at a hard stop for rooting until there is a new method that works with the BLv2.

I followed Shizuku instruction, it's in the app, install app and you'll see how to do via usb debugging.

Nice, thank you.

As a follow-up, for anyone that finds this thread later:
I tried Google's own Files app and it prevented access to /Android/data/

CX Explorer is still working with All Files access — old permissions must have gotten carried to Android 14.

The February update to OneUI 6.1 locked down access to the Android data folder. The previous loophole that allowed file managers to access that folder has been closed. You now need root to access the data folder.
Root is required to modify files and folders in /sdcard/Android/data. You may be able to change permissions but you won't be able to edit or modify anything without root.

The files method still works, google recently updated the app via play store to patch it. So u have to use version 6.1 of the files app to access and modify android/data.

I can also confirm this works on the may security patch (CXD3)

To protect your privacy, choose another folder.
I absolutely can't stand Google's fearmongering.

This is yet another benefit of MicroSD: control over your data. You can rip the memory card out of your phone and insert it into your personal computer which runs a non-Google operating system that gives you access to all files on it.

Indeed, no root = no ownership. I learnt it the hard way.

Is this feature of android 14? I still can modify files with Zarchiver in One UI 5.1 without root, but not in One UI 6.1.
I honestly don't know, I don't have an Android 13 system to test on. I doubt it would have changed, though.
