Jordan Files Part I | King is the son of Hussein, who is the son of Talal. Talal is the son of Abdullah I. Abdullah I was born in Hijaz (Mecca). His father, Sharif Hussein, fought alongside the British against the Ottomans. The UK created Jordan, which historically did not exist as "Jordan," but only the Jordan River. The lands west of it were called West Jordan (now known as the West Bank), and the lands east of the river were called East Jordan. As a reward for Sharif Hussein's betrayal of his fellow Muslims, Britain appointed his son Faisal as king of Syria. His other son, Abdullah, was made king of Jordan after it was created and named after the river. King Abdullah I was ordered by Britain to normalize relations with Israel and he visited occupied Palestine... The Palestinians were furious over his public betrayal. A normal Palestinian tailor from Jerusalem named Mustafa Shukri Ashu took it upon himself and assassinated the British-appointed king in 1951. The main objective of creating this artificial kingdom, which relies heavily on handouts and foreign aid from Europe and America, is to protect the eastern borders of "Israel."
