Project introduction
The Russian military invasion of Ukraine that began in 2022 has been protracted, and since October of the same year, missile attacks and shelling targeting power and energy-related facilities and civilian facilities in Ukraine have continued, forcing repeated evacuations to shelters and rolling power cuts, making civilian life in the country increasingly difficult.
Although concrete efforts have already begun in Phase 1 of this project, Phase 2 has been initiated because further assistance is needed to meet the enormous recovery and reconstruction needs of Ukraine.
(1) Purpose of the Project
This project will procure materials and equipment necessary for emergency restoration in Ukraine, thereby contributing to the country's emergency restoration by building the infrastructure for full-scale restoration and reconstruction, rebuilding the lives of displaced people contributing to their return, restoring agriculture as a key industry, and strengthening Governance which is the foundation of support for democratization.

(a) Details of facilities, equipment, etc.
Equipment] Mine and explosive disposal equipment, equipment for rubble and disaster waste disposal, equipment and materials for restoration of transportation and traffic infrastructure, equipment and materials for restoration of power and energy facilities and related equipment, water supply-related equipment and materials, medical-related equipment and materials, Education-related equipment, agricultural-related equipment and materials, broadcasting-related equipment, and related equipment for the aforementioned equipment and materials, etc.
*The contents of facilities and equipment are subject to change according to the needs of the recipient in light of the current situation.

(c) Procurement and construction method
Based on the content of equipment and delivery date and Ukraine needs survey in Japan, while giving priority to procurement from Japan, the recipient country, or a third country, depending on the content of equipment and materials, the selection will be made among Japan, the recipient country, and a third country.
