Fellowship for Undergraduate Students Examination (2025)

  • The Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics of Economics, Major in Economic Analysis is scheduled to change its name to the Department of Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics in Economic Data Analysis in April 2025.

The Fellowship for Undergraduate Students program is as follows:
Kanagawa University has its own scholarship program.
It has been implemented since 1933.
This is a traditional scholarship program.

This program is not just for the purpose of financial support, but for the purpose of recruiting excellent human resources from all over the country and developing their talents.
The Fellowship for Undergraduate Students examination is a three-subject type similar to the General Entrance Examination. You can take the test regardless of whether you are active or have already graduated, and no recommendation letter is required.
This exam is not a full-time application, and you can freely apply for it at the same time as other entrance exams of our university or other universities.

POINT 1 Up to 8.8 million yen will be paid over four years

If you enroll as a Fellowship for Undergraduate Students, you will receive the following scholarships.

  1. An amount equivalent to the admission fee (200,000 yen) will be paid in the first year of admission
  2. Faculty of Law, Economy, and Faculty of Human Sciences: 1 million yen per year x 4 years benefit Management / Foreign Language / Faculty of Cross-Cultural and Japanese Studies : 1.1 million yen per year x 4 years benefit 4-year benefit
  3. Furthermore, for those who go to school outside the home *, an annual living aid of 700,000 yen x 4 years will be provided.

  • * In principle, 700,000 yen per year will be provided to those who go to school outside their home (those who take more than 2 hours to go to school from home and go to school from a boarding house, etc.) for 4 years.
  • After announcing your acceptance, you will need to pay the admission fee (200,000 yen) by the deadline for the first admission procedure and pay the tuition fees, etc. by the deadline for the second admission procedure.
  • In the first year of enrollment, the amount equivalent to the enrollment fee (200,000 yen) will be paid at the end of May.
  • The scholarship is provided based on the Yoneda Yoshimori Education Scholarship Kanagawa University Fellowship for Undergraduate Students Regulations and Enforcement Regulations.
  • These figures are based on fiscal year 2024 results and are subject to change.

There are two types of passes :

There are two types of passes for the Fellowship for Undergraduate Students exam.
Even if you are not accepted as a Fellowship for Undergraduate Students , you may be exempt from taking the General Entrance Examination . (The dates of announcement of results and enrollment procedures are the same as those for successful Fellowship for Undergraduate Students.)
In addition, those who have already been accepted to our university through a recommendation entrance exam etc. can still take the exam (those who have passed the AO entrance exam or those applying for the designated school recommendation entrance exam are limited to the same department).

  • You can take the test regardless of whether you are active or have already graduated, and you do not need a letter of recommendation.
  • There are no household income or grade requirements in the application criteria.

POINT 3 Results will be announced on January 12th before the university entrance examination. You can check your score online.

At the same time as the result is announced, the score for each test subject and the minimum pass score will be disclosed, so you have a chance to measure your ability!

POINT 4 A tradition since the company's founding! Exams are held at 23 locations nationwide

Is the Fellowship for Undergraduate Students exam more difficult than the General Entrance Examination exam?

The exam consists of three subjects and the difficulty level is the same as that of General Entrance Examination, so the questions are not particularly difficult.
These are standard questions, so you can tackle them by studying mainly from the textbook.

Can I apply for the Fellowship for Undergraduate Students exam together with other entrance exams?

You can freely apply for other entrance exams of our university and entrance exams of other universities. In addition, those who have passed the AO entrance exam or who have applied for the designated school system recommendation entrance exam can challenge the Fellowship for Undergraduate Students exam after securing the right to enter only in the same department.

Is it possible to apply for multiple departments at the same time in the Fellowship for Undergraduate Students examination?
