This announcement by Cyber Army Russia Reborn is worth noting. They attempt to reassure the citizens of Spain that they will not be the target of upcoming ddos attacks.
This largely goes against the large majority of hacktivist attacks, which predominantly attempt to disrupt the day-to-day of everyday citizens of a country of organisation of target.
This messaging also comes after Mandiant formally linked the group to APT44.
The group remains driven by the intent to conduct attacks triggered by geopolitical events.
