Most posts here are about problems because people usually stay quiet when satisfied but speak when they have a problem.
But I think I owe you a note of appreciation for a highly useful feature:
When pointing the cursor at the battery status and volume icon on the taskbar, moving the scroll wheel adjusts the screen brightness and volume respectively.
I wanted to let you know that I don't take this for granted. It is extremely convenient. I use this all the time.
Whenever I am on a Windows computer, I notice how much I miss this feature. Windows users have to rely on third-party tools (taskbar tweaker, VoluMouse) for this.
It is one of those things that Linux had for a very long time before it became mainstream, like multiple workspaces. Linux had it at a time where Windows XP was the most recent Windows.
Does anyone know who came up with this idea? I would like to directly thank them.
Thank you for the task bar scroll wheel feature!
