16 Star “WR” - 18:59 by Marius M (holymoly2207) October 2005 is spliced

On Cheese’s recent 120 star WR video I noticed this comment:

I went to check it out as I had never heard of this person before and to my surprise he did have 2 videos (2 part 16 star) with over 100,000 views on part 1 and over 30,000 on part 2. This run was later beaten by Myles (or not beaten because it was found to be spliced by Caivs) in 2008.

I was honestly suspicious watching this run.

I downloaded the videos and opened the sound up in Audacity to check the spectrogram (the method used to find Akikan, WhiteAris and Myles’ runs to be spliced) and I will show pictures of all the parts that didn’t look right to me. The first couple I’m not 100% on but the rest are without a doubt spliced. I need to mention that the 2 channels are L and R because someone thought that it was what it was and what it should look like (not the case).

This is when he enters the Dark World pipe to face Bowser. (not sure)

This one is when the game loads out after he gets the Dark World key. I’m not too sure about this one because of the noise that happens at this part (check video).

This is when it started to get obvious and more frequent. This is when he enters Fire Sea.

.This is when he exits the stage after re-entering Fire Sea to go upstairs.

This is when he enters Sky after doing the BLJs.

This is when he enters the Sky pipe to face Bowser.
