Thoughts on the election

Now, beyond one's position, to a new generation

It's time to change our politics to one that transcends political parties and positions and ``makes Hidaka better.'' I think our generation needs to think about and create a future Hidaka town that will support everyone's lives. A new breeze to Hidaka! Our challenge is to work together with you to create the future of Hidaka City.

Introducing Mayoka Matsuo

41 years old. A family of three, her husband and her son.

Born in Oita Prefecture in 1982 . During his childhood, he moved around the Kanto region and the United States (Boulder, Colorado) due to his father's work, and by living in various regions, he was able to experience the goodness of each region.

After graduating from Private Joshi Gakuin High School and majoring in physical chemistry and biology at Waseda University's Faculty of Education, she joined IBM Japan and engaged in organizational change consulting. She retired on March 11th. After studying abroad in the Philippines, she planned a community development project based on tourism in a rural village in India.

Moved to Hidaka City in 2015 and turned to preventive medicine and health guidance. She also began classes on the koto and shamisen, which she had been familiar with since childhood. In 2019 , he was elected as a member of the Hidaka City Council for the first time due to the mega solar issue in Hongo . In the spring of 2023 , he will also be elected to the city council for a second term.

In 2024, he will run for mayor of Hidaka City in response to a request from the Citizens' Self-Government Association to Build Hidaka City, a citizen movement to run for a completely independent mayor.

What I like is taking on challenges. I like making seasonings and foods from ingredients and shining a light on the invisible processes. What I'm good at is connecting people. No matter what others say, I will do everything I can with enthusiasm.

What I don't like is being pigeonholed. Something that has become a skeleton. Seeing these things gives me a fighting spirit.
