“Free trade” has become a travesty and is largely dead.
Its killer is the US-driven West, which is obsessed with slaying the world’s trading superpower, China. The Empire has little compunction about tossing the baby along with the bathwater, changing and then junking the rules altogether.
The Western powers long championed free trade, so long as they were able to control and dominate it. That era is deader than a doornail.
