New #cybertracker for the April 7 #OpIsrael campaign.
Disclaimer: Countries in Orange are countries in which Hacktivist groups claim to originate or operate – it is not a representation of that country's relationship with Israel.
There are 65 groups that I tracked from 1 to 8 April 2024 using the hashtag - OpIsrael. There were likely additional groups that operated outside of my visibility or that may not have used that hashtag.
What this tracker shows us is that these campaigns are globally disperse and that geopolitically motivated hacktivists can and will leverage any and all events to conduct attacks.
Its a diverse group of actors - largely it overlaps with groups who have been heavily targeting Israel since 7 October 2023.
The classic attacks have been conducted by these groups:
- DDoS
- Defacement
- Breach or Hack and leak attacks.
