Hotheads sold on Western-style instant gratification often rage at China, Russia and Iran for their restraint in responding to the endless provocations of the US and its proxies.
These short-termers may be anti-imperialists, but they also share the Empire's mentality of shock & awe as the highest form of warfare. To them, the absence of instant and brutish retaliation means you're a wimp and a loser.
They are navel-gazers disconnected from reality. Tehran, Beijing and Moscow do not have to, nor do they, reply to Empire aggression in ways familiar to and preferred by the Empire. As Mao Zedong said, "You fight your way, I fight mine."
Such strategies are especially effective when time is on your side. It's the party that's losing and desperate that needs a quick knockout blow - and exposes itself to greater risk to get one.
