Wattpad is described by Wikipedia as a website and app for writers to publish new user-generated stories with the purpose of creating social communities around stories for both amateur and established writers.[1] It self-reported over 400 million stories in 2017[2] and 90 million monthly regular users as of 2024.[3]
Stories include images, text, and comments both in a "chapter" and for the story as a whole. User pages have discussions, followers, follows, reading lists, and lists of their own stories.
