Norway, Portugal, Greece, Brazil, India, Holland were (and are) historical SEMI-colonies of the British Empire. The BRICS is made up of sovereign anti-imperialist countries such as Russia and China. But the BRICS is also made up of former British colonies and this was to be expected.
Modi recently personally led naval exercises in the Indian Ocean. Later Russia, China and Iran and Pakistan, Azerbaijan as observers. But India did not participate with them. India is sending its cheap labor to the Arab monarchies and Israel, also to Taiwan. This is due to the silk road or belt and road project, an alternative to China, that Israel is carrying out in association with India through the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. India will be the hinge of the route that will link Japan, Taiwan (where Indian workers are arriving) with the Dubai-Haifa Corridor.
This Israeli Silk Road makes transportation bypass Yemen and links the maritime routes that run from Japan to Taiwan with India as an axis. Southeast Asia's sea routes and airspace are controlled by US military bases. In addition to the commercial route, there is that of the gas and oil pipelines discovered in Gaza and that should reach Greece through Cyprus.
There is also another energy route that transports oil from Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea to Europe through Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. Azerbaijan also supplies Israel through Turkey. If Iran lost its western regions to separatism, or if a large Kurdistan were created in the Middle East, these regions would unite the energy routes that run from the Caspian Sea to Europe through Crimea. And curiously this would be possible if the project of rebuilding the Kingdom of David (From the Nile to the Euphrates) would be united with the "New Khazaria". This is pure coincidence but it is important to remember historical aspects since the State of Israel itself was created by the UN citing biblical antecedents (A book), when the Middle East was strategic for Western oil companies.
