There was also always an accuracy issue with the recording function on memory slot 1 -- the numbers even when cleared and with no load on the device would bound from a 0 reading to random readings, indicating a memory issue flash issue. Slot 0 and slots 2-9 all worked fine though.
Considering I only paid about $25 for this device, and that it saved me nearly $400 on it's first use (Helped me determine my Oculus branded Quest 2 wasn't charging unless it was in bootloader mode and got Meta/Facebook to RMA the device for a replacement) it was well worth the money I spent on it.
I will probably buy a much nicer one from the same brand Meterhawk in the future. Mine was 5v only up to 3amps max, but some of the nicer models support bluetooth for remote logging and monitoring, as well as up to 24v and 6.5 amps! That would supported warp charger on my OnePlus phone and other devices.
Note that if you buy a loader that allows you to control the exact load you can use it with this device to test battery packs and drain rates very accurately. I have tested a number of Anker batteries when they were brand new and as they aged to test their life. For instance, an Anker powercore 10000 shows around 9800ish when new, but after nearly 8 months of very heavy daily use was down to lower than 4800, at nearly half it's original capacity!

It seems accurate and gives expected baselines when running known devices.
Its user interface is a little confusing and its buttons are all multi function, it takes a little bit of fiddling to figure out how to get it to do what you want. Not really an obstacle.
I wish it had a simple cable test pass fail and a way to identify whether cables have the internal resistors, whether they have all the pins for USB3 or just he pins for USB2 and such. Best I can tell, these features just aren't there. Worse, it doesn't seem to pass through real USB3 and speeds above 480Mbps; it's just USB2 + USB-C + USB Power Delivery (commonly associated with USB3)
The rocker switch is just horrible to use. It's hard on the fingers. There's a left and a right and a downward click. Worse, sometimes there are things like a "hold left and click down" that requires a weird twist on the depress. Since this isn't a device I use even weekly, there's always a sense of having to re-learn the device every time I pick it up as there is NO on-screen guidance.
The device IS good for testing USB power sources and particularly the new multi-mode chargers. It will query the host and tell you what combination of voltage and currents it advertises. This is useful for devices like Pinecil that can sometimes benefit from a higher voltage at a lower current to improve the overall wattage available to the tip.
This device is available under a variety of names and there are a large number of lookalikes and workalikes out there. Choosing and buying one can be a challenge.

And when you do plug something in, that fluctuating value is added to whatever you are trying to measure… good times.
You’d think the manufacturer would test it before it made its way to consumers.
If they even bothered to plug it in they’d see that there was something wrong with it.
Oh, I tried contacting the seller through Amazon to see if there was a way to reset or zero it or something… no plot twist here, I got no response.
