- 1/27/24-Sad news out of the Moskvarium this morning. Naja's calf passed away on January 26th, due to a congenital heart defect. Here is a link to the article. We mourn for Naja, who was an amazing first time mother to her calf.
- 3/13/24-Shanghai has announced Dora's calf is a male. They are holding a naming contest for the calf. He was born on December 5, 2023.
- 3/15/24-Kobe Sea World has announced they will be opening June 1st. The park is anticipated to receive orcas prior to then.
- 3/16/24-Kamogawa Sea World has announced today the orca stadium is closed and will remain closed until further notice. This could indicate Lovey is about to give birth or they may be transferring whales to Kobe.
- 3/17/24-Shanghai has confirmed that Dylan is the father of Dora's calf.
- 3/23/24-Kamogawa had closed the killer whale show on March 16th as Lovey had gone into labor. Sadly, the calf did not survive. Kamogawa resumed shows on March 20th. It is unknown who the father was. It is also not known if the calf was a stillborn or if it died shortly after birth.
- 3/23/24-Another adult female has been moved from Chimelong's holding facility to Chimelong Spaceship. This is either Jade or Nukka.
