In Nov 2022, a Chinese gunman killed four fellow immigrants and wounded another at an illegal marijuana farm in Oklahoma. Minister-counselor / Consul General Zhu Di (祝笛) of the 
embassy hurried to Oklahoma City to discuss the murders with representatives of the community and offer help to relatives of the victims. Zhu returned for another visit in June.
