Loving this Gaza Team project to supply life saving milk formula to infants and babies. So so appreciative of Brother Khaled Said Al-Thaher long term humanitarian experience, working with orphans, infants and babies in Gaza.
My own experience with children on humanitarian operations was the construction of a childrens hospital in Southern Syria, the negotiations for entry for the organisation of child vaccination programmes in the Philippines. Attempting to prevent child trafficking in China. Aid logistics planning is part of what I do so my work has never been child specific. I have to admit our baby milk distribution programme is highly satisfying workwise. Is that selfish to admit? This work is fleetingly satisfying now that improvements in conditions can be seen? Only fleetingly satisfying because we have more, much more to do.
Not, much hope l fear. The lifelong mental damage will never leave these young mind's and will feaster for years to come from generation to generation.
